• Enter Abu Dhabi inner-coastal waters at Mina Zayed and transit southeast through the Um Al Nar Channel (also known as Khawr al Bighal).
• Continue along that same course for approximately 6.0 n.m., and enter the North Sammaliyah Channel at the intersection of Jazirat Balrimayd Island and Jazirat as Al Sammaliyah Island.
• NOTE: Take care at the intersection of the two channels, do not ‘cut the corner’, the inside of the turn is extremely shallow and care should be taken not to leave the marked channels.
• Continue within the Channel bearing south-southeast, until passing “Little Yas Island” on your port side.
• Turn east into Airport Channel (along Al Raha Beach, noting the Al Raha Beach Hotel and Al Bandar Marina on your starboard side), leaving the concrete sea wall along the south end of Yas Island on your port side. Please note that Yas Southern Marina is under construction.

2. How many wet berths are available? Yas Marina offerers 227 wet berths. Berths range from 8m to 175m with options for race track views.

3. When can I access my boat? Boats can be accessed 365 days a year, 24 hours a day.

4. What time is the management office open? The marina management office is open daily from 9am - 6pm.

5. Which facilities are available? Our berthing sites offer 24-hour berthing assistance, 24/7 security, fresh water and power facilities for boats up to 175m, waste disposal and black and grey water pump out facilities. There is a petrol station nearby, buggy service, washrooms, showers, changing rooms, free ice delivery and parking.

6. What type of berthing rates are available? We offer daily, weekly, monthly and annual packages including or excluding Formula 1 week. A special 8 day rate is available during Formula 1 for 51-week members who wish to dock their boat at our dry berthing facility.

7. Is fuel available? Yes, a petrol station with a 60m dock is available at the dry berthing facility which is conveniently located a few minutes away from Yas Marina.

8. Do you provide maintenance and repairing service on-site? Class Marine run a boat maintenance yard, at an extra cost.

9. What are the benefits of berthing at Yas Marina? Yas Marina is located in quieter waterways better suited for leisure and water sports. Boat owners who enrol in annual packages have access to the Cruising Club and Yas Marina Privilege Club program offering numerous discounts. Formula 1 fans can enjoy first hand views of the race track during the most exciting event of the year.

Text description provided by the architects. Yas Island Yacht Club’s streamlined curvilinear form was conceived as an iconic landmark on the brand new Yas Marina and F1 Track and makes an emphatic contribution to the leisure and hospitality facilities already within the precinct.

The complex incorporates various 5-star club uses within high quality contemporary interiors including restaurants, bars, lounges, function rooms, outdoor deck areas and associated administration, retail and car parking components.

A composition of dynamic and fluid forms link the buildings to the nautical theme, the heritage of the locale and the new F1 character of Yas Island. Yas Island Yacht Club is designed to excite, inspire and strengthen the concept that is Yas.

Distinguished by its sparkling white exterior shells against the backdrop of the Yas Marina and F1 Track, the sculpted forms of the two main buildings are reflected in a series of surrounding water features set into a lush garden landscape. A matrix of crystal LED façade lights integrated into the exterior shells enable their transformation into giant pixelated viewing screens against the night sky.

Defying convention, pushing the boundaries, and creating a fashionably unforgettable experience, the design draws inspiration from traditional and artistic surroundings complementing the landscape with architectural elements.

Inspirational architecture unravels in the form of a bold Welcome area, bespoke Welcome desks in the shape of oil drops, to jewel tone furnishings depicting the colours of liquid gold. The Columns in the Living Room represent the fossil dunes created by nature in Abu Dhabi. 

The Whatever/Whenever desk is inspired by a local crafted Abra boat, referencing the Abu Dhabi water ways and the mode of movement to the city and above you can see the typical representation of the local Bedouin tents.

Celebrating the prosperity that oil has caused for the UAE especially Abu Dhabi, the retail space becomes the interior of the oil barrel, modernized to incorporate that “Instagram shot” with our own over-scaled interpretation of the selfie ring.

Influenced by symmetry, intricate design, parallel beams, optical illusions creating silhouettes and shades to the natural lakes, wetlands, salt flats and fossilized sands and dunes – the hidden gems of the UAE. The veil sofa stands out with the curves and flow depicting a key feature of the local dress in the UAE, the Abaya.

The design of W Lounge draws on the question; “What if the desert flooded?” Imagine rains pouring into the desert creating a kaleidoscope of vivid, diverse colours creating a Super Bloom. A Super Bloom is botanical phenomenon that awakens wild fauna. A Super Bloom in the Abu Dhabi landscape would create a carpeted tapestry of wild flowers and exotic edibles.

Yas Yacht Club / Omiros One Architecture

Designed by Omiros One Architecture (O1A) for Aldar Properties, the Yas Island Yacht Club forms a key part of the Yas Marina precinct, which recently staged its inaugural Formula 1 motor racing event. The recently completed project is the architect’s first significant work in the Middle East. O1A principal and founder Mr Omiros Emmanouilides describes the design as “a composition of dynamic and fluid forms that link the buildings to the nautical theme, the heritage of the location and the new F1 character of Yas Island.” “The Yacht Club is designed to excite, inspire and strengthen the concept that is Yas.”

Incorporating various 5-star club uses including restaurants, bars, lounges, function rooms, outdoor decks and 45-metre observation tower, the Yacht Club (Building 1) is the more expressive and prominent of the two. Building 2, the retail and administration component, features a waist-shaped glass internal courtyard and maintains a quieter profile.

The Yas Island Yacht Club is distinguished by the sparkling white exterior shells of the two main buildings against the backdrop of the Yas Marina and F1 Track. The sculpted building forms are reflected in a series of surrounding water features set into a curvilinear garden landscape designed to complement the architecture. A matrix of crystal LED façade lights integrated into the shells enable their transformation into giant pixelated viewing screens against the night sky.

The Yas Island Yacht Club by Omiros One Architecture

Omiros One Architecture  have designed the Yas Island Yacht Club in Abu Dhabi.  A composition of dynamic and fluid forms link the buildings to the nautical theme, the heritage of the locale and the new F1 character of Yas Island. Yas Island Yacht Club is designed to excite, inspire and strengthen the concept that is Yas.

Yas Island Yacht Club’s streamlined curvilinear form was conceived as an iconic landmark on the brand new Yas Marina and F1 Track and makes an emphatic contribution to the leisure and hospitality facilities already within the precinct. The complex incorporates various 5-star club uses within high quality contemporary interiors including restaurants, bars, lounges, function rooms, outdoor deck areas and associated administration, retail and car parking components.
