The RC44 phenomenon
The RC44 class celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2016, and with 11 boats regularly competing on a circuit straddling Europe and the Caribbean, the high performance owner-driver keelboat continues to prove itself as an enduring contemporary one-design race boat.
44Cup Worlds Brunnen
With the slow 'churn' of RC44s - Christian Zuerrer's Black Star Sailing Team (hull #27) was the last new RC44 to be launched back in 2022, while Torbjörn Törnqvist's Artemis Racing (hull #26) was launched in 2014 - owners Chris Bake, John Bassadone and Torbjörn Törnqvist have gathered together to invest in the class with building of two brand new RC44s.

RC44. The RC44 sailboat was designed by Russell Coutts and with the assistance of naval architect Andrej Justin the boat is built by Pauger Carbon Composite / Pauger Yachts and first launched in 2007. The class is recognised by the International Sailing Federation in November 2009 and held it first World Championships in 2010.

The RC44 has already established a fleet of all-star international professional crews that race these boats all over the world and there are at least 24 boats in the fleet. However, the fleet recently began expanding its North American presence so hopefully we'll be seeing more of it here. The RC 44 is built at the Pauger boatyard in Hungary.

C&C 44
The first C&C 44 was built in Canada, the rest at C&C's Middletown, RI (USA) plant. Available with many different ballast-keel combinations and rig options. Keel/centerboard vers.: BU - 5.5′; BD - 8.5′.
The C and C 44 sailboat
The boat has a distinctive and attractive design, with a bevelled bow, a flat forebody, ample midship sections and a creased stern. The C&C 44 is also available as the C&C 44 Custom, which is more race-oriented and uses more exotic construction materials. It's a splendid sea boat that is dry, kindly, strong and seaworthy, and can handle a variety of conditions with ease and speed.
