Simpson catamaran designs?
In Australia Simpson designs have a reputation as solid cruising boats. Simpson got out of the design business by the early 2000s and his boats may look a little dated now for some. They don't usually have daggerboards and are usually owner built. There were some production Simpsons - Cloud 9 and Formula one cats.
Simpson Design Catamaran Plans
The 9m GroundEffect is a semi-bridgedeck catamaran which was designed after much demand for this style of boat in this size range. The interior is roomy with three double berths, one cantilevered. Sailing performance is well taken care of with the knuckled hull form and a very respectable fractional rig.

Hi everyone We are looking with interest at a Roger Simpson catamaran - an 11.5m "Inspiration" model to be exact. We're totally new to the world of multihulls and havent found much intel online, so would be grateful for any opinions and feedback you might have about this design and Simpsons more generally.

The GRP moulds should be OK but watch out for some other problems because there were several design issues where the construction just could not be done per the drawings - like the forward beam and the access into the forward berths. Neverless, Simpson is/was an excellent designer.
