HUGE EXTERIOR AREAS

The enormous deck areas of OHANA offer many options to enjoy the alfresco life. The aft cockpit offers a large sunbathing area with sun pads, perfect for lounging in the Mediterranean sun before descending the stern stairs to the swimming platform. From here, guests can slide in the water to cool off, enjoy the tranquility of a quiet snorkel, or make use of OHANA’s extensive collection of dive gear including a dive compressor to explore deeper underwater (rendezvous diving only). Guests can also make use of the onboard windsurfs, paddleboards, and dinghies, and take lessons from the onboard instructors. The large sofas and coffee tables of the flybridge are perfect for gathering and enjoying a coffee or relaxing in the early evening with a drink. The alfresco dining area of the main deck is perfect for formal or informal meals, with sheltered sides enabling guests to enjoy the sea air whatever the weather.

ELEGANT LIVING

OHANA’s high-performance does not forgo the elegance and luxury of a superyacht charter. The neutral palette of interior areas creates an atmosphere of understated decadence while sumptuously comfortable furnishings invite guests to sink in and enjoy the serenity. The stunning black marble table in the main salon is perfect for elegant dinners prepared by OHANA’s excellent chef; after which, guests can retire to the sofas of the main salon to enjoy a digestif from the bar or gather for relaxed movie nights with the cinema setup. The five staterooms on board OHANA include a full-beam master, two doubles, and four singles. Up to ten guests are accommodated on board, cared for by OHANA’s experienced crew of eight. All staterooms all feature en-suites and are lavishly decorating in keeping with the interior décor of OHANA.

Sara would love to have any of the "guys" as Manny's as well. They were so good with the two boys. In addition, Alice may be the best Chef on any yacht! She is worth her weight in gold, not to mention being a lovely person... The boat was also extremely comfortable and we enjoyed all the toys... We even contributed to dinner a couple of nights through Beck's fishing with a couple of Mahi Mahi, some Snapper and even a Lobster...The weather also turned out to be "goldilocks like", not too cold and not too hot! Ohana offers numerous water sports activities for guests, such as jet skiing, water skiing, paddleboarding, kayaking, and tube riding, etc. She is also fully equipped with the latest toys, so an active and adventurous journey is ensured.

Spaciousness

She can comfortably accommodate up to 30 guests. The sun deck offers 160 m2 of space and is equipped with sun-loungers and a jacuzzi. She offers cozy indoor and outdoor areas, with a bright, spacious salon that seats 30 people on 4 separate dining tables.

A.P.A. (Advance Provisioning Allowance)

• 30% of the charter price:  To cover the following costs, but not limited to: fuel for tender and water sports equipment;  additional fuel for cruising (above 4 h per day) , food and beverages for the Charter Party; berthing dues and other harbor charges including pilots ’fees, local taxes, divers’ fees, customs formalities, charges for waste disposal, charges for water and electricity taken from shore; shipping agents’ fees where applicable; Charter Party personal laundry; hire or purchase costs of any special equipment placed on board at the Charterer’s request, shoreside transport and excursions, national park entrances and other costs for services requested by Charter Party during the charter and all other costs not specified as included. A.P.A is paid by the Client in addition to the charter fee for all relevant costs for the vessel that are not included in the charter fee. If A.P.A does not cover complete costs, the Client will pay exceeding the amount on board in cash. If costs made on charter are less than the amount is given as A.P.A, the amount that was not spent will be returned to the Client at the end of the voyage. • Tips are not included in the price of the charter and are a voluntary way of showing appreciation for a good service. Usually, it is 10% to 15% of the charter price, according to your satisfaction, paid to the captain at the end of the charter and distributed equally by the captain to the rest of the crew.

How does the charter agreement work?

Once your chosen yacht has been confirmed, we will send you a standard MYBA or Goolets charter agreement that needs to be signed. If your chosen cruise route requires a different embarking or disembarking place other than the yacht's central harbor, delivery/redelivery fees may apply.

What are the payment terms?

After signing the MYBA or Goolets charter agreement, a deposit of 50% of the total charter cost is required. You can pay the fee via bank transfer or credit card (only Visa or MasterCard). The other 50%, an Advance Provisioning Allowance (if applicable), taxes, positioning fees, and any previously agreed charges are payable via bank transfer eight weeks before departure.

What are the actual operating expenses?

Once you made the final payment of the charter, you pay the Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA). Under MYBA terms, this fee is usually between 30% - 40% of the total charter cost.

This covers the operating expenses of a charter (explained under Charter Terms), such as fuel, food, drinks, port fees, and ad hoc incidentals. The APA is given to the captain before the start of your charter. Some yachts and gulets also offer food/drinks packages which are normally paid in cash during embarkation, while the port taxes are paid during embarkation according to the costs presented by the captain. The Captain ensures that the yacht is fully fuelled and stocked when you step on board. 

While an up-to-date summary of accounts can be requested at any time during your charter, a full set of accounts will normally be submitted by your captain at the end of the cruise. 

In case of surpassing the amount of money already paid during your yacht charter (with the APA), additional funds (in cash) will be required at once. If there is an outstanding balance from the yacht charter, it should be settled in cash or by bank transfer before you disembark. In case of a remaining credit at the end of your charter, you will be fully reimbursed. 

If a transfer by car to and from the yacht is required, it can be arranged either by the charter company or by the yacht’s captain, payment for which will be deducted from your APA.

How can we make your yacht charter personalized?

To ensure a unique and tailor-made charter experience, we will send you a detailed questionnaire eight weeks before you embark on your yacht. You can tell us your group's preferences and special requirements, such as dietary or medical needs, any particular wishes regarding exercise, entertainment, or if you are celebrating a special occasion. 

Are internet and satellite TV connections available onboard?

In case you really need to get some work done during your vacation, no worries. On most yachts, there is mobile broadband internet and satellite TV, so you will stay connected to the rest of the world. Just keep in mind that the service can be limited in some areas (you are in the middle of the sea after all). If you anticipate regular usage of the internet, let us know prior to embarking, as upgrades might be subject to availability and additional fees may apply.

Is smoking allowed onboard?

Smoking is permitted only on the outside decks, and on some yachts, only in dedicated outdoor areas. Please consult our charter brokers for more information. For safety reasons, smoking indoors is strictly prohibited on all yachts.

Are tips for the crew mandatory?

Even though tips are not mandatory, the guests normally extend a gratuity to the devoted crew. The amount depends on the guest's satisfaction, but it is approximately 10% of the charter fee. The tips are equally distributed among all crew members by the captain.

Should I get any insurance?

In case of unforeseen circumstances that might prevent the charter, we highly recommend taking out the Cancellation and Curtailment Insurance to protect the investment. Besides that, the guests should be covered by Personal Accident and Medical Insurance, and their belongings are insured against theft, loss, or damage. Charterers’ Liability insurance is also highly recommended. Contact your broker for further assistance and additional advice regarding the insurance.

How are the charter rates calculated?

Charter rates are estimated weekly. If a charter exceeds seven days, they are calculated pro-rata against the weekly rate divided by seven and multiplied by the number of charter days. Keep in mind that some yachts are only chartered on a weekly (Saturday-Saturday or Sunday-Sunday) basis, especially during the high season.

High and low season rates vary depending on charter locations and types of yachts. The high rates apply to the most popular charter periods (July/August and Christmas/New Year), and to all major events. Low season rates apply to all other periods.

The charter rates on our website are up to date but may be subject to change. 

What are the charter terms?

Most charter rates are based on MYBA Terms, which entail that the yacht is in full commission, with all necessary equipment, properly insured for marine risks, and managed by a crew, whose wages, food, and clothing are the owner’s expense.

All other operating expenses are charged to the charterer and include (but are not limited to): fuel and lubricating oils for the yacht and her tenders; local taxes; pilotage; port, harbor, and marina dues; customs clearance; water and power; personal laundry; all provisions, wines, beers, spirits, soft drinks and consumables for the charterer’s group; shoreside excursions, telecommunication, and internet costs.

Please note that, occasionally, a yacht may offer an alteration on the terms described above. For further information about specific yachts, consult your broker.

Do any other taxes apply?

For charters in European waters, Value Added Tax and delivery costs may be charged on the gross Charter Fee, due to the European Union tax legislation. In other countries, local taxes may also apply. Depending on your chosen charter destination, our brokers will provide any prevalent rates.

Guest Accommodation

Built in 2014, Ohana offers guest accommodation for up to 6 guests in 3 suites comprising a master suite, one VIP cabin and one cabin that can operate as twin or double. There are 4 beds in total, including 1 king, 1 queen and 2 singles. She is also capable of carrying up to 2 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht charter experience.

Ohana is built with a GRP hull and GRP superstructure. Ohana reaches a maximum speed of 20 knots. With a shallow draft of 1.37m/4'6" Ohana can anchor closer to coves and sheltered bays overnight.

Ohana knows a thing or two about fun on the water, with a selection of water toys and accessories for you and your guests to enjoy whilst on charter. Principle among these are waterskis that are hugely entertaining whether you are a beginner or a seasoned pro. Also there are wakeboards so guests can show off at speed. If that isn't enough Ohana also features fishing equipment, inflatable water toys, kneeboards and snorkelling equipment. When it's time to travel from land to see, it couldn't be easier with a 4.27m/14' Tender.

The Below Deck Luxury Yacht is Available to Charter (Video)

On the Below Deck reality TV series, TV viewers can get brief glances at the interior of the Ohana, but if you are really curious about how the Ohana looks, be sure to watch the video tour of the luxury yacht below. Those of you who like what you see might be interested in chartering the Ohana for your own sea adventure. The Ohana is available for charter, but the name of the ship has changed. The Below Deck luxury yacht charter is now called the Rhino.

According to Yacht Charter Fleet , the Rhino, formerly the Ohana, can accommodate up to 10 guests.  Inside, there’s a master suite, two double cabins and two twin cabins. The yacht is air conditioned and has Wi Fi. The Jacuzzi on the deck of the ship is a familiar sight on Below Deck. Other amenities include a waterslide, wave runners, a trampoline, snorkeling gear and more. The yacht can be chartered for either the summer or the winter season. Yacht Charter Fleet has the luxury yacht charter price listed as $140,000 per week in addition to any other expenses for both seasons.

In Below Deck, the yacht is in service in the British Virgin Islands.  The Rhino actually services New England, the Bahamas, the Caribbean, and St. Barts in addition to the Virgin Islands. The information to charter the yacht is on the Yacht Charter Fleet site.

There had been some rumblings on the net about another crew that had been hired to do the actual work on the Ohana during the show. It is evident, however, from the cast bios on VH1 that most of the crew members do have some boating experience.

That’s in spite of the fact that Below Deck cast member Andrew Sturby left one of the portholes open in his  room, and sea water  was on the floor in one of the first few episodes of the show.  Andrew is actually a former Abercrombie and Fitch model; no other deckhand experience was listed in his VH1 bio. Jennice Ontiveros, however, was a deckhand for at least one summer in 2013 in Michigan, and Deckhand Kelley Johnson is a former Marine who worked on a yacht before entering the corporate world. On the show, the crew earns dollars in tips. The amount varies, based on the generosity of the guests on the ship.

In real life, the Ohana, now the Rhino can accommodate a crew of 10 people. So, even though the Below Deck cast is not on the Rhino at this time, anyone who plans to charter the yacht should figure in the cost for the charter and a lot of extra cash for the tip if great service and pampering is received onboard. The Rhino appears to be a beautiful yacht!

Below Deck airs on Tuesdays on Bravo at 9 p.m. Easter/8 p.m. Central Time.
