About Mulder Design Mulder Design has been a household name in the yachting world for over 45 years. We distinguish ourselves because we have all disciplines -yacht design, naval architecture and engineering- in house and can therefore offer the entire package. We supervise the project from the first sketch to completion. The yachts are designed in the Netherlands and built all over the world.

NAVAL ARCHITECT We are looking for an experienced Naval Architect to strengthen our team. As a naval architect you will make calculations and drawings regarding the various aspects of the yacht design and will have an active role in directing and supporting the various disciplines within the office. The work at Mulder Design includes virtually the entire design package, from initial concept designs, the complete naval architectural package to the final construction supervision on both large yachts and smaller production boats. The applicant must have relevant qualifications and work experience within the yacht building industry/shipbuilding, and must have experience with CAD applications, marine software and relevant class regulations.

Required qualifications - A completed technical education at a bachelor’s degree (E.g. Naval Architecture or marine technology) - A person who is constantly aware of the quality requirements applicable to the yacht, the structural architectural and artistic design. - Creative in finding solutions to architectural challenges and improving existing solutions. - Good analytical skills - Flexible and aware of the required accuracy and efficiency. - Able to perform a variety of tasks - Relevant work experience in the shipbuilding industry, preferably yacht building - Excellent skills in 2D drawing (Vectorworks, AutoCAD) and 3D modeling (Rhino, Solidworks) - Experience with Maxsurf/Orca3D - Dutch resident or Valid EU work permit required - Good communication skills in English at a professional level, spoken and written (Dutch is a plus) - Several years of work experience - Positive, proactive and eager to learn attitude - Experienced in design, construction and drawing - Creative problem solver

Responsibilities - Creating layout plans - Construction drawings and detail drawings. - Structural and regulatory calculations: weight, stability, resistance & propulsion - Systems and equipment requirements. - Stay informed about recent technical market developments. - Improving and expanding office standards and working methods. - Contribute to open and constructive communication within the office.

YACHT DESIGNER We are looking for an experienced yacht designer to strengthen our yacht design department. The work at Mulder Design includes virtually the entire design package, from exterior and interior concepts, the complete naval architectural design to the final construction supervision. Large yachts and smaller production boats. The applicant must have relevant qualifications and work experience within the Yacht building industry/shipbuilding, and must have experience with CAD applications and marine software.

Required qualifications - A completed design education at a bachelor or master’s degree (yacht design experience) - The ambition to optimize the expertise of our exterior design team. - Flexible and aware of the required accuracy and efficiency - Good 3D hand sketching skills - Experience with Photoshop (Adobe),Rhino, Keyshot and AutoCad/Vectorworks - Good communication skills in English at a professional level; spoken and written (Dutch is a plus) - Dutch resident or valid EU work permit required - Several years of work experience in the yachting industry - Positive, proactive and eager to learn attitude - Experienced in design, construction and drawing - Creative problem solver - A person who has high attention to detail. - Creative in finding solutions to design challenges - Good analytical skills - Able to perform a variety of tasks - Contribute to open and constructive communication within the studio

Responsibilities - Creating layout plans 3D modelling and 2D Design at all stages from the conceptual design to the final production detailed drawings - Comprehension and adaptability to the existing quality standards and past design. - Stay informed about recent design market developments

NAVAL ENGINEER To strengthen our team in Amstelveen, we are looking for an enthusiastic colleague with several years of work experience. Do you want to work on challenging projects based on a shared passion for yacht building? Then please read on.

Required qualifications - A completed technical education at a minimum MBO degree (E.g. Mechanical or marine engineering) - Several years of work experience - Positive, proactive and eager to learn attitude - Dutch resident or valid EU work permit required - Good communication skills in English at a professional level; spoken and written (Dutch is a plus) - Experienced in design, construction and drawing - Excellent skills in 2D drawing (Vectorworks, AutoCAD) and 3D modeling (Rhino, Solidworks) - Creative problem solver - Flexible with regard to daily activities, aware of the required accuracy and efficiency - Relevant work experience in the shipbuilding industry is an advantage.

Responsibilities - 3D modeling in Rhino or Solidworks - Mechanical engineering drawings - Layout plans, construction drawings and detailed drawings - The work includes virtually the entire design package, from interior and exterior concepts to the complete design for production.
