We overheard at the pool how a couple at the hotel sat out on their balcony to listen to the band.  The next night at a bar in town we heard a group saying how great the band was at the pier the night before as they were eating dinner, they stayed to listen. My wife & I love "Yacht Rock" music.. So when we found the band were blown away & thought we need to get this guy for our wedding in Palm Beach.. So we did! The extra cool part was that he started out at our reception playing the Yacht Rock music that we wanted, & everybody loved it.. but when the dancing got going, our guests then started asking for other dance music, that was all over the place.. stuff from Bruno Mars, to Bon Jovi, to Lizzo.. & JP then played ALL of THAT too – perfectly - NO problem! Every last person at our wedding danced & were completely blown away.  My wife & I were SO happy! The vocals & talent of this guy is off the charts. And he's that nice of a guy too. Indie rock icons sue Trump for using ‘Army’ song before N.J. concert. ‘This machine sues fascists.’

It started last month when Donald Trump ’s campaign used the White Stripes song “ Seven Nation Army ” without permission.

And on Monday, it continued with Jack White posting a screenshot on Instagram showing he was suing Trump.

The White Stripes have become just the latest band to sue Trump for using their music.

An image White posted shows that he and his former White Stripes bandmate, drummer Meg White , are suing Trump and Margo Martin, Trump’s deputy director of communications, in the Southern District of New York.

“This machine sues fascists,” Jack White said, sharing evidence of the lawsuit.

Martin used the Grammy-winning 2003 White Stripes song “ Seven Nation Army ” in a video posted to social media.

“Don’t even think about using my music you fascists,” White said in a previous Instagram post responding to that video. “Have a great day at work today Margo Martin. And as long as I’m here, a double f--- you DonOLD for insulting our nation’s veterans at Arlington you scum. You should lose every military family’s vote immediately from that if ANYTHING makes sense anymore.”

While the Whites (who were formerly married) are reacting to the Trump campaign using the song in August, this isn’t the first time Trump used the same White Stripes song.

“Seven Nation Army” also played during events for his 2016 campaign.

Jack White’s post about the lawsuit came just hours before he performed at White Eagle Hall in Jersey City (see video below) Monday night. (The White Stripes split in 2011 and Jack White released his sixth solo album, “ No Name ,” in July.)

Jack White and Meg White are not the only ones who have fought Trump’s use of their music.

The family of Isaac Hayes (he died in 2008) filed a lawsuit against Trump for using the Sam & Dave song “ Hold On, I’m Comin’, ” which Hayes co-wrote, at rallies. A judge ordered Trump to cease doing so.

In August, Celine Dion also objected to the confounding use of her hit song “ My Heart Will Go On ” — from the “Titanic” soundtrack — at Trump and JD Vance rallies (” THAT song? ” read a statement from her management team).

The Foo Fighters spoke out against the band’s 1997 song “ My Hero ” being played at a Trump rally in August when Trump introduced Robert F. Kennedy .

What is it about Yacht Rock that is so appealing to the band members and their audience?

It’s impossible not to sing along and feel good when you hear this music. There’s so much nostalgia linked to these songs, and so many memories. They’re iconic, and known throughout the world. And they are really good songs! One of the best parts about what we do is seeing two hours of smiles on our audience.

Did you enjoy this kind of music as a kid or did you gravitate to it when you got older?  

Both. Every single band member has childhood memories of these songs, cruising in the car with the windows down on a hot summer night. But the really cool thing has been to rediscover this music all over again as adults, and to endeavor to play it like the original recording. Again, this music is feel good and timeless. It makes it easy to fall in love with this music all over again. 

For those who haven’t experienced it yet, what is the best part of a Yachtley Crew concert?  

It’s not just a concert, it’s a show. As much as we love Yacht Rock, we love performing just as much. We bring that love to every single gig that we play, and we have a blast doing it. We think that the best part about a Yachtley Crew concert is that everyone is a part of it. People show up wearing captain’s hats and sailor outfits. They come ready to dance and sing and party, and they leave having had one of the most fun nights of their life. 

Out of all the songs within your repertoire, which do you like to perform most and why?

We are gonna have to go with ‘Escape (The Pina Colada Song)’ on this one. Every single time we play this song, the crowd loses their minds and sings along. It’s the best. 

Have you gotten any feedback from any of the acts you cover?

We actually have! Peter Beckett -- the voice of Player -- has joined us onstage a few times to perform his classic, ‘Baby Come Back.’ Also, Elliot Lurie -- voice of Looking Glass -- has sat in with us too to sing his hit song, ‘Brandy (You’re a Fine Girl).’

How did Yachtley Crew band together and get its name? 

Like many great things, Yachtley Crew was born in a hot tub over a cold beer. Our founders, Baba Buoy (bass) and Sailor Hawkins (drums) have been lifelong friends and musicians, and carefully assembled the band over a year of jam sessions to ensure just the right chemistry. Now we are one big happy Yacht Rock family who love the genre just as much as our fans. The name Yachtley Crew is a nod to our love of hard rock, Motley Crue, and we like to think that we add just a little bit of “oomph” to the soft rock hits we play.

The band recently renamed the drummer Sailor Hawkins in honor of the recently deceased Taylor Hawkins, and also in honor of him, you’re covering Foo Fighters’ ‘Hero,’ which also isn’t yacht rock. Why is it important to Yachtley Crew to honor Taylor in this way? 

Actually, Sailor Hawkins has always been his name. The Foo Fighters’ Taylor Hawkins has always been a hero to us, and we felt it appropriate to honor him after his untimely passing. 

What’s the most nautical experience the band has had? 

Our most nautical experience ever is probably getting ferried out to Catalina Island to play at their Buccaneer Days event. Such a blast! Everyone dressed as captains and pirates marooned on an island for a weekend.
