The multi-award winning 38m/124'8" sail yacht 'Yam 2' (ex. P2) was built by Perini Navi in Italy at their La Spezia shipyard. Her interior is styled by Italian designer design house Perini Navi and she was delivered to her owner in September 2008. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of Philippe Briand.

Yam 2 has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 8 guests in 3 suites. She is also capable of carrying up to 6 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Range & Performance

Yam 2 is built with a aluminium hull and frp superstructure, with teak decks. Powered by 1 x diesel MAN (D2876 LE402) 6-cylinder 560hp engines running at 2100rpm, she comfortably cruises at 10 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 13 knots with a range of up to 1,958 nautical miles from her 7,000 litre fuel tanks at 10 knots. Her water tanks store around 3,200 Litres of fresh water. She was built to ABS (American Bureau of Shipping) ✠A1, Yachting Service, AMS classification society rules.

Westport 125 Superyacht Overview

The Westport 125 (38.1m) yacht has a 26-foot (7.98m) beam. It’s shallow six-foot, one-inch (1.8m) draft ensures it can cruise even shallow-water locations, including the much-desired Bahamian islands. Westport 125 yacht models offer cruising speeds of 20-plus knots. The yacht is able to run at a top speed of 25 knots. Westport 125 yachts for sale feature twin MTU 16V2000 engines and two 80kw generators. The yachts in this series offer a displacement of 379,000 pounds. The Westport-designed hull of the yacht was created to ensure reliability, safety and stability. The Westport 125 is fully engineered for the enjoyment of all who come aboard.

Yacht Layout

The Westport 125 welcomes up to 10 guests in five staterooms. The full-beam on-deck master stateroom is located forward. It features his-and-her baths and wardrobes and benefits from ample ambient light courtesy of “portlights and hull windows made of toughened laminated glass that has been integrally molded into the yacht’s hull,” according to the builder. Four guest staterooms, all of which feature en-suite facilities, are positioned on the lower deck and can be queens or twins, based on the choice of the owner. Guests access these staterooms from the lower-deck foyer located midship. Owners also can choose to have only three lower deck staterooms and convert the fourth stateroom into a dedicated gym/exercise room. Westport 125 yachts for sale carry between five and six crewmembers to ensure the highest quality of service to owners and guests while aboard. The yacht’s galley is located on the main deck and features a cozy breakfast nook.

Italian Sea Group sells its first Admiral Sail Wave 38 sailing yacht

The Italian Sea Group has sold its first Admiral Wave 38 superyacht. The 38 metre sailing yacht was designed by Philippe Briand and will be the first Admiral Sail yacht to be constructed entirely in aluminium.

The first hull of the Admiral Wave 38 was signed in an in-house deal in early September, and the Admiral Wave 38 is now in the engineering stages of build and will be delivered in 2018.

This is the second sailing yacht from the Italian Sea Group’s Admiral Sail division, which was founded in 2013. It follows the delivery of Gigreca – the Italian Sea Group's first Silent series sailing yacht .

Francesco Carbone, Italian Sea Group Vice Chairman and Sales Director, says, “this sale clearly marks the focus of the Italian Sea Group on sailing superyachts which remain a niche but with interesting potential we cannot ignore”.

The Italian Sea Group first unveiled the new Admiral Wave 38m superyacht at the Monaco Yacht Show last year along with its Admiral Wave series, developed in collaboration with Philippe Briand Ltd, comprising the Wave 38, 48 and 60.

“We have designed a beamier hull at midships and a wider section aft,” said superyacht designer Philippe Briand. “This is the trend of the last successful generation of racing sailing yachts and those yachts have proven to be very efficient. The huge advantage given by this modern and fast shape is the volume and deck space created.”

The Admiral Wave 38 will have four guest cabins and crew quarters are designed to be LY3 compliant. The cockpit is protected by a hard top with an integrated hardtop, which can be fully enclosed with retractable windowpanes and transform into a formal dining. The large aft terrace includes a sunbathing platform with access to the sea.

The Wave 38m will be rigged with carbon mast and carbon furling boom, lifting keel and captive reel system.
