The Yacht-Master’s new Oysterflex bracelet, developed by Rolex and patented, offers a sporty alternative to metal bracelets. The bracelet attaches to the watch case and the Oysterlock safety clasp by a flexible titanium and nickel alloy metal blade. The blade is overmoulded with high-performance black elastomer which is particularly resistant to environmental effects, very durable and perfectly inert for the wearer of the watch. For enhanced comfort, the inside of the Oysterflex bracelet is equipped with a patented longitudinal cushion system that stabilizes the watch on the wrist and fitted with an 18 ct Everose gold Oysterlock safety clasp. It also features the Rolex Glidelock extension system, designed by the brand and patented. This inventive toothed mechanism, integrated beneath the clasp, allows fine adjustment of the bracelet length by some 15 mm in increments of approximately 2.5 mm, without the use of tools.

What is Rolex Everose Gold? A Complete Guide

Rolex Everose gold

If you have done your research and browsed some Rolex watches, you can’t help but come across the term ”Everose Gold”. Just like all of Rolex’s own-made, proprietary materials, Rolex heavily use the names in their communication in order to highlight that it is developed and owned by Rolex.

But what exactly is Rolex Everose Gold? Let’s look closer at this material.

What is Rolex Everose Gold?

Rolex Evorose gold can most easily be described as rose gold. Unlike standard yellow gold, rose gold is not 100% gold. In fact, Rose gold is generally a mixture of classic yellow gold, silver, and copper metals. Rose gold is sometimes also known as pink gold due to its pink hue

But standard yellow gold in the context of watches is not 100% gold either. The gold used in Rolex watches (and pretty much any gold watch) is 18K, which means it’s 75% gold by weight no matter what color it is. The color variation occurs as a result of the different materials used in composing the other 25% of the alloy.

24K (100%) gold is almost never used in jewelry for durability reasons.

But what does Rolex’s own proprietary rose gold alloy – Everose gold – look like?

Of course, being Rolex, it’s not just any rose gold we are talking about here.

Rolex first introduced the Everose gold in 2005. Rolex has used rose gold for its watches long before this, but the alloy used has not been their own. We should bear in mind here that Rolex is the only watch brand that has its very own foundry. This gives Rolex great advantages of research and development for new alloys.

Rolex Yachtmaster 116655

The primary element in rose gold that gives it its pink hue is copper, but the issue is that copper can change color over time, in particular, when in regular and repeated contact with corrosives such as saltwater, and particularly chlorine . Over time, this can make rose gold lose its original luster. And being Rolex, which strives to make ”Perpetual” products, which are meant to look the same for decades to come, regular rose gold simply wasn’t good enough.

”18 CT EVEROSE GOLD – AN EXCLUSIVE PATENT

To preserve the beauty of its pink gold watches, Rolex created and patented an exclusive 18 ct pink gold alloy cast in its own foundry: Everose gold. Introduced in 2005, 18 ct Everose is used on all Rolex Oyster models in pink gold.”

Rolex needed a rose gold that would keep its original sheen, hue, and luster for decades to come. Rolex’s answer to this is Everose gold.

Everose gold is a mixture of pure gold mixed with copper and platinum. According to Rolex, this alloy will never lose its red color. It is thanks to platinum that the color is maintained. And according to Rolex, its color will not be affected by any external factors, which is an issue otherwise.   Everose gold contains at least 76% gold and slightly more than 2% platinum. With Rolex’s secretive way of conducting its business, that is as detailed information about the alloy’s ingredients as you get. Like all other gold alloys, the Everose gold is made by Rolex in its own foundry.

The first model to be made in Everose gold was the Daytona.

Rose gold is sometimes perceived as a metal primarily for women, but this is certainly not the case. In particular, when we are talking about the rose gold from Rolex.

Rolex’s proprietary Everose gold is quite toned-down and subdued, which makes it quite discreet. Much more discreet than the bold and bright yellow gold. As such, this is why people who prefer a more discreet look opt for versions made in Everose gold. It is a metal chosen by both men and women – and which looks equally good on both genders.

It is indeed a beautiful material for Rolex watches! Thank you for sharing your thoughts!

Just a small correction: “Unlike standard yellow gold, rose gold is not 100% gold.” “Standard yellow gold” in the context of watches is not 100% gold either. The gold used in Rolex watches (and pretty much any gold watch) is 18K, which means its 75% gold by weight no matter what colour it is. The colour variation occurs as a result of the different materials used in composing the other 25% of the alloy.

Thank you for the well-summarized info of gold. We just added it to the end of this article

Many thanks again!

I noticed that the Rolex Daytona EverRose Gold Watch I purchased from Their boutique is not as dark bright pink as the previous ones before. The Boutique told me that they have removed some of the Copper and added more platinum. Are you aware of this?

Hi, Yes, Rolex did make a change to its rose gold which made it less “flashy” and bright pink. In addition, Rolex consistently make minor updates and changes to the materials that they use to give them better properties and/or looks.

Watches In The Wild The Road Through America, Episode 1: A Model Of Mass Production

There is big news, and there is Rolex big news, and in some ways, ne'er the twain shall meet. At Baselworld this year, Rolex debuted a first for the company: the very first, ever, Rolex delivered on a rubber strap. Now, for most companies this would have little effect on watch enthusiasts other than to evoke (very) tepid interest at best, and boredom at worst – but this is not an ordinary rubber strap, this is an official, designed-and-tested-and-thoroughly-obsessed-over-by-Rolex rubber strap. And thereby hangs a tale.

yacht master' rolex watch in 'everose gold'

The Yachtmaster, as we have mentioned in some of our previous coverage , occupies a somewhat particular place in Rolex’s lineup of sports watches; it shares water-resistance and a turning bezel with the Submariner (the latter is water resistant to 300 m while the Yachtmaster standard model is water resistant to 100 m). It is certainly not a tool watch; the Yachtmaster is offered in either platinum and steel, or gold and steel (that’s Rolesium and Rolesor, lest we forget) and is either quietly or unequivocally luxurious depending on what size and metal you go for (Rolex makes the Yachtmaster in both 35 mm and 40 mm sizes).

The Yachtmaster’s history goes back to the first introduction of the watch in 1992, although the name, interestingly enough, appears on the dial of a prototype Yachtmaster Chronograph from the late 1960s (a watch so legendary I am actually forced to use the word; one of three known is in the collection of Mr. John Goldberger; we covered it – and a host of other remarkable ultra-rare watches from his collection – in a very memorable episode of Talking Watches ).

yacht master' rolex watch in 'everose gold'

The term “Yachtmaster” is also, incidentally, used for a certificate of competency in yachting which is issued by the Royal Yachting Association, although we’re unaware of any specific association between the RYA and the Yachtmaster watch.

Now, this newest version of the Yachtmaster does take a few pages from the existing Yachtmaster playbook: 100-meter water resistance, a bidirectional turning bezel, and a dial and hands that echo the Submariner. There are also a couple of features that may make vintage Sub enthusiasts wonder if Rolex mightn’t have an exceedingly subtle sense of humor; the gilt coronet and “Rolex,” and the red lettering, both features which according to HODINKEE founder Ben Clymer would have, had they appeared on a Rolex dive watch, made it instantly the single most popular watch in the modern Rolex inventory. The case is rose gold – Rolex famously makes their own, called Everose, in their own foundry, with a bit of platinum mixed in to prevent discoloration – and the bezel, rather than being some other precious metal (as is the case in the “standard” Yachtmasters) is in black Cerachrom – a very technical-looking matte black that contrasts sharply with the gold case. Somehow, between the rose gold, the Cerachrom bezel, and the new Oysterflex bracelet this manages to be the most luxurious and at the same time most technical Yachtmaster yet (leaving aside the Yachtmaster II, which we recently reviewed right here , but that is a watch that marches to the beat of a different drummer entirely).

yacht master' rolex watch in 'everose gold'

The two different versions of the Everose Yachtmaster (40 mm and 37 mm) sport different movements; the larger uses the caliber 3135 and the smaller, the newer 2236, which sports the “Syloxi” silicon balance spring (first used by Rolex in 2014).

yacht master' rolex watch in 'everose gold'

The Oysterflex bracelet is, in a nutshell, quite a piece of work. One of the most endearing traits of Rolex as a company is that it tends to demonstrate what we can only describe as a laudable degree of corporate obsessive-compulsive disorder when it comes to research and development, and it does so, often, without making any sort of fanfare about it at all. In this case we do know a little bit about the Oysterflex, however – it is basically designed to have the hypoallergenic and comfort properties of a rubber strap and the durability and shape-retention properties of a bracelet.

At the core of the Oysterflex bracelet are metal inserts made of titanium and nickel, which are used to affix the bracelet to the clasp and watch case; over those is a sheathing of “high-performance black elastomer.” “Elastomer” is a portmanteau word, formed from “elastic” and “polymer” and is a general term for natural and synthetic rubbers. In addition to the materials complexity of the Oysterflex bracelet, it is also shaped in a rather unusual fashion – there are ridges molded into the the wristward face of the bracelet, which are intended to allow the bracelet when worn to better approximate the natural curvature of the wrist.

yacht master' rolex watch in 'everose gold'

They might look a bit odd but in practice, the design works out quite wonderfully; this is easily the most downright comfortable and organic-feeling rubber strap I have ever worn, and like the entire watch manages to be both extremely technical in feel, and very luxurious at the same time; I doubt whether any company has ever taken so much trouble over the design of a strap (for all that Rolex prefers the term “bracelet” in describing the Oysterflex, habit dies hard and you’ll probably find yourself calling it a strap, just as we did). On the wrist, the two stabilizing ridges do exactly what they are supposed to: keep the watch from shifting, as heavier watches on rubber straps are wont to do, without requiring you to have the strap uncomfortably tight. The Everose Oysterlock clasp does a superb job mechanically and also looks fabulous into the bargain; the quality of finish on the clasp and case may not seem terribly elaborate at first, but it is as technically flawless as anything I have ever seen at any price, on any watch.

yacht master' rolex watch in 'everose gold'

What we have here, in other words, is a very Rolex interpretation of luxury. Yes, this is a gold watch, and a gold Rolex, and wearing a gold Rolex always carries with it, shall we say, certain semiotic complexities. However there is also another side to the watch, and to the Rolex approach to luxury in general: the taking of such pains to produce technical perfection that technical perfection becomes a luxury in itself.

yacht master' rolex watch in 'everose gold'

The Everose Rolex Yachtmaster, in Rolex Everose, with Everose Oysterclasp and Oysterflex bracelet, as shown, $22,000 in 37 mm, and $24,950 in 40 mm. For more info, check out Rolex.com.

Rolex Yacht-Master 116655 & 268655 Everose Gold Ceramic Watches Hands-On

Rolex-Yacht-Master-116655-268655-Everose-Gold-Ceramic-aBlogtoWatch-20

The new sports watch from Rolex for 2015 was an interesting version of the Rolex Yacht-Master presented in an 18k Everose gold case with a Cerachrom black ceramic bezel matched to a new strap Rolex calls the Oysterflex. The 2015 Yacht-Master is actually two watches and each has slight, but important differences. First is the 40mm-wide Yacht-master 116655, but you should also be aware of the interesting 37mm-wide Yacht-Master 268655 version. aBlogtoWatch debuted the Rolex Yacht-Master 116655 for 2015 in Everose gold and ceramic here .

While the watch is gold (which means it is expensive), it is nevertheless a great looking sports watch. While it is true that many people consider a true Rolex sports watch to have a steel case, there is an emerging market for precious metal sport watches as a lifestyle item. At least with Rolex, you know it also has a lot of durability and thought behind it. I am curious to know what people’s thoughts are on what is a great-looking sports piece with the 2015 Rolex Yacht-Master, even though it is more than double the price of, say, a steel Rolex Submariner.

Rolex-Yacht-Master-116655-268655-Everose-Gold-Ceramic-aBlogtoWatch-4

The Yacht-Master has always existed in an interesting place within Rolex’s sport watch family. When it first debuted, it was meant to be a more high-end lifestyle type of sport watch compared to the more utilitarian Submariner or GMT-Master. The Yacht-Master was never meant to be a professional diving watch or something for pilots. If anything, it was meant to be a watch for people who sail on or own yachts. That means there is a degree of activity to their life and some water resistance is necessary, but so is style and status. So what does all that mean for the rather radically new Rolex Yacht-Master that nevertheless very much lives within the larger current generation Rolex Yacht-Master family

Rolex-Yacht-Master-116655-268655-Everose-Gold-Ceramic-aBlogtoWatch-6

In our debut post of the Rolex Yacht-Master 116655, I more or less laid out the technical details of what Rolex has presented for us in 2015, and now, after some hands-on time with the new Rolex Yacht-Master, I am going to fill in some details and other insights after Rolex explained what this new watch is all about.

In person, the Rolex Yacht-Master 116655 is just as handsome if not more handsome than it is in Rolex’s (typically immaculate) press images. I’ve always been a fan of mixing gold and the color black – something which you can find in other Rolex models from time to time if you look for it. What immediately comes to mind is the Rolesor (two-tone) Rolex Submariner with a gold and steel case and a black dial. The Rolex Yacht-Master in 18k Everose gold (Rolex’s own unique alloy of rose gold that does not fade over time) mixed with black ceramic does some interesting things visually and is an extremely different (albeit obviously in the same family) watch as the Rolex Submariner . While the Submariner has a glossy Cerachrom black ceramic bezel with engraved markers, the 116655 Rolex Yacht-Master’s Cerachrom ceramic bezel is in matte black with the markers in deep relief (like other Rolex Yacht-Master bezels which are in precious metal).

Rolex-Yacht-Master-116655-268655-Everose-Gold-Ceramic-aBlogtoWatch-17

The matte black color and texture of the Rolex Yacht-Master bezel is echoed on the dial – which again is very rarely matte on a modern Rolex sports watch. This makes for a cool look that is both a bit more legible and aggressive looking than the slightly glossy Rolex Oyster sport watches we are used to. Of course, with the 116655 Rolex Yacht-Master the hands and hour markers are in 18k Everose gold and polished – which gives the watch that real “Rolex character.” It also happens to look nothing like all currently available Rolex Oyster sport watches – not to mention other Rolex Yacht-Master timepieces. For this reason alone, I think watch lovers will take keen interest in the Rolex Yacht-Master 116655.

Rolex-Yacht-Master-116655-268655-Everose-Gold-Ceramic-aBlogtoWatch-1

While 2015 saw Rolex release the exciting new 3255 automatic movement in the Day-Date 40 watch collection, the 40mm Rolex Yacht-Master 116655 contains the existing Rolex caliber 3135 automatic movement that is of course COSC Chronometer certified. The 3135 is the same movement you’ll find in some other Rolex watches – namely the Rolex Submariner Date watch. With that said, it is interesting to report that the 37mm-wide Rolex Yacht-Master 268655 has a completely different and actually newer Rolex movement. Inside the 37mm-wide Rolex Yacht-Master is the Rolex caliber 2236 which we debuted here during Baselworld 2014 . Rolex announced the 2236 movement as the first Rolex caliber to contain Syloxi (Rolex’s name for their silicon balance spring), and it is contained in a woman’s watch.

Rolex-Yacht-Master-116655-268655-Everose-Gold-Ceramic-aBlogtoWatch-18

Men wanting to experience a Rolex watch with silicon parts now have an option – well sort of. The 37mm Rolex Yacht-Master 268655 will certainly find itself on some men’s wrists, although it is certainly a smaller watch and will more than likely be seen as a ladies piece. Will some people prefer the 268655 model over the 116655 given their preference of the newer 2236 movement? I wonder…

Rolex-Yacht-Master-116655-268655-Everose-Gold-Ceramic-aBlogtoWatch-23

I will admit that it has been a while since I’ve taken a close look at Rolex Yacht-Master watches, as my interest in other Rolex timepieces has eclipsed this collection. I don’t recall them having this shape of case though, which looks a lot more sporty and modern compared to older Rolex Yacht-Master cases that felt like a picture between a Submariner and a Datejust case in terms of style (which essentially they were). As an Oyster case, the Rolex Yacht-Master is still water resistant to 100 meters. So yeah, I am pretty sure that, in addition to everything else, there have been some refinements to the case of the Yacht-Master compared to the outgoing models.

Rolex-Yacht-Master-116655-268655-Everose-Gold-Ceramic-aBlogtoWatch-22

That last statement has an important implication – which is that the new Oysterflex strap (which Rolex calls a bracelet) only fits on these new 2015 Rolex Yacht-Master watch cases. Rolex is pretty notorious for making it difficult to “part swap” pieces from one Rolex watch to another, and unfortunately, you will not be able to purchase the Oysterflex strap independently.

Rolex-Yacht-Master-116655-268655-Everose-Gold-Ceramic-aBlogtoWatch-16

Oysterflex is pretty cool, actually, and I do hope that Rolex rolls out this new strap option to other watches. We will likely see that in the future, but Rolex isn’t saying more about it. Oysterflex is not made from natural rubber, even though it feels almost exactly like it. The structure of the bracelet begins with a metal “blade” (a titanium nickel alloy) that creates a base shape and allows it to fit securely. One of the most interesting elements on the strap are the “fins” underneath that are designed to create a cushion between the strap and your wrist. This allows for your wrist to expand and contract a bit while the strap remains comfortable and snug, and also helps vent the inner part of the strap a bit on hot days. It is a great feeling strap made out of an “elastomer” material which is connected to an 18k rose gold deployant clasp.

Rolex-Yacht-Master-116655-268655-Everose-Gold-Ceramic-aBlogtoWatch-7

There are two downsides to the Oysterflex that some collectors might find. First is that the strap does not fit flush with the Yacht-master case. I agree that straps and bracelets look really nice when they fit flush with the watch case. I have no doubt there is a reason for how Rolex designed the end of the strap – there is pretty much a [good] reason for everything that Rolex does. My guess is that given the material of the strap, it simply would not look nice right up against the case as the strap moved around. The second issue is limited adjustability. The Oysterflex strap will come in six different sizes and you’ll need to choose the right fit for you when you buy it. There is some micro-adjustability in the deployant clasp but you’ll need to choose only one strap option. Even cutting the straps to size is not really and option because of the metal part in the strap. You’ll get a nice clean look with this decisions, but you can’t share watches with friends and if you ever do, you’ll need to purchase another Oysterflex strap directly from Rolex.

As I talked about when we first announced these 2015 ref. 116655 and 268655 Rolex Yacht-Master Everose and ceramic watches, it seems as though Rolex is both listening to its core enthusiast demographic and also respecting the heritage that makes Rolex… well, Rolex. That is a tough job and really what Rolex tries to do with care and attention each year. I think a lot of people are going to like this new black and gold Rolex Yacht-Master with its chic sporty look and novel strap. Let’s hope that some of its features and style continue to trickle down to more Rolex timepieces in the future. The Rolex 268655 Yacht-Master is priced at 21,000 Swiss Francs and the Rolex 116655 Yacht-Master is priced at 23,800 Swiss Francs. rolex.com

Diamonds, sapphires, rubies, emeralds – the noblest and most precious stones are selected to grace Rolex timepieces. The brand has in-house expertise and equipment enabling it to bejewel any model in its catalogue. Experienced gemmologists first select gemstones of the highest quality. For this, they can rely on their own seasoned judgement as well as state-of-the-art analysis equipment. The stones are then entrusted to the gem-setters, who skilfully place each precious stone onto the watch by hand, one by one, assuring precision to within hundredths of a millimetre. Such stringent tolerances guarantee that each stone shines with optimal brilliance and is perfectly aligned with those around it. These time-honoured gestures, which may be repeated many hundreds of times, ensure that each gem-set watch produced by Rolex sparkles with exceptional intensity and reflects the standard of excellence required by the brand.

The Yacht-Master’s bidirectional rotatable 60-minute graduated bezel is made entirely from precious metals or fitted with a Cerachrom insert in high-tech ceramic. The raised polished numerals and graduations stand out clearly against a matt, sand-blasted background. This functional bezel – which allows the wearer to calculate, for example, the sailing time between two buoys – is also a key component in the model’s distinctive visual identity.

All Rolex watches are assembled by hand with the utmost care to ensure exceptional quality. Such high standards naturally restrict Rolex production capacity and, at times, the demand for Rolex watches outpaces this capacity.

Therefore, the availability of certain models may be limited. New Rolex watches are exclusively sold by Official Rolex Jewelers, who receive regular deliveries and independently manage the allocation and sales of watches to customers.

Tourneau I Bucherer is proud to be part of the worldwide network of Official Rolex Jewelers and can provide information on the availability of Rolex watches.

Everose Gold Rolex Watches Buying Guide

Paul Altieri

By now we are all more than familiar with the “alternative” shades of gold present in the luxury watch market. Everose gold Rolex watches has developed a plethora of nicknames such as: pink gold, red gold, not to mention the obscure “magic gold” and “king gold” from Hublot. All of which provides a unique alternative to the traditional yellow gold options presently on the market. This unique shade of gold has rapidly become the preferred non-silver metal for many. As with many contenders in the marketplace, Rolex developed its own proprietary version of pink gold – aptly named Everose – which was unveiled for the first time in 2005 on the Rose Gold Cosmograph Daytona. Fancy nomenclature aside, there are a few key differences to Rolex’s proprietary pink blend that set it apart from the pack.

History of Everose Gold

Rose Gold Rolex

In 2005, Rolex introduced Everose, their proprietary blend of 18-karat pink gold that combines pure gold, copper, and a small amount of platinum to create a unique rose gold alloy that will never lose its warm red color. The platinum locks in the copper’s natural pink tint, which allows the metal to retain its original color. Even after prolonged exposure to environmental factors that would otherwise diminish its warm, rose-colored tint the color holds true.

Rolex’s Everose alloy first made an appearance on their Daytona line of watches. The Rolex Daytona rose gold came as a fresh take on the premium version of Rolex’s sport chronograph. Rolex had been manufacturing chronographs in solid gold for decades. However, yellow gold was used on the vast majority of these watches. The introduction of Everose offered buyers a contemporary twist on an iconic and classic design.

Everose vs. Yellow Gold

Rose Gold Rolex Daytona

The allure of a timepiece crafted entirely from yellow gold remains undiminished, embodying a classic and timeless elegance. Yet, the unique charm of rose gold, with its red/pink hue, brings forth a warmth and subtlety that harmonizes effortlessly with an extensive variety of attire. The gold Rolex models, showcasing their Everose gold, are a testament to versatility, appealing to both men and women alike. This exquisite material has graced the wrists of numerous celebrities, from the tennis icon Roger Federer to fashion mogul Victoria Beckham, and countless others in between.

For more than ten years, Rolex has embraced Everose gold, though it selectively adorns only certain collections, such as the Day-Date. While models like the Submariner and GMT-Master II are available in stainless steel, 18-karat yellow gold, and Rolesor (a combination of stainless steel and gold), they do not feature Everose gold. Rolex has crafted these models in solid 18-karat white gold as well, yet the unique allure of Everose gold remains exclusive to specific lines, excluding the Submariner and GMT-Master II in both their Rolesor and solid gold variations.

The Rolex Formula for Everose

Rolex Rose Gold

The warm hue of pink gold of Everose comes from its copper content. Copper is the only red metal element, and the amount of copper in a rose gold alloy directly influences the color of the metal. Over time, exposure to saltwater and chlorine can affect the copper on the surface of the metal, causing the rose gold to lose its warm, red-colored tint.

So aside from the usual suspects  – copper to add its pinkish hue, as well as a hint of silver – Rolex also adds just a touch of platinum to its Everose formula as well. The benefits of this special combination prove to be twofold. On one hand, platinum acts as a bonding alloy of sorts, ensuring that its pinkish tone does not fade over time. Generally, exposure to the elements (UV, saltwater, sweat, etc.) will cause the copper in pink gold to react, which is exactly what Rolex set out to counter with its Everose formula.

While we don’t doubt that other brands are also taking some sort of action to accomplish the same result, after 13 years on the market thus far it seems Rolex’s alloy is living up to every expectation.

Our Favorite Everose Gold Watch Examples

Rolex president day-date 228235 40mm.

Rolex Day-Date President ref. 228235

This particular execution of the Everose Rolex President is the ultimate example of how Rolex can deliver a watch that’s both understated and impactful all at the same time. The combination of a 40mm Everose case and bracelet and a rich chocolate brown dial are an unexpected pairing that works incredibly well together. Much like we loved it on the ceramic Daytona we wrote about last year, the color combination is a real home run.

Unlike said Daytona though, the President Day-Date seen here doesn’t have the dark black accents for its indices and bezel, instead of taking advantage of the crisp sparkle provided by baguette diamond-set hour indices. In photos, you would almost mistake these diamonds for applied platinum or silver indices, though in natural light they’re a real eye-catcher.

Rolex Yacht-Master 116655 Oysterflex

Rolex Rose Gold Yachtmaster 116655

Out on the much more casual end of the spectrum, the Rolex Yacht-Master in Everose is a special breed of diver, primarily on account of its precious metal construction. While most are used to steel or titanium-cased tool divers, the Yachtmaster’s textured Cerachrom bezel and Everose gold case give it a much more refined look without compromising its utilitarian and functional design.

The biggest selling point with the launch of this new Yacht-Master was the creation of the Oysterflex bracelet—a rubber strap with internal metal supports designed to ensure greater overall longevity, as well as providing a more breathable fit on the wrist than what’s seen from most conventional rubber straps on the market.

Rolex Everose Gold Daytona 116505

Rolex_Daytona_116505 Everose Gold

Though we previously made mention of the more recent Everose Daytona with a Cerachrom bezel and chocolate brown dial, this stunning monochrome Everose Daytona 116505 is in a different league altogether. Most often we’re fans of seeing a certain level of contrast with a chronograph’s subdials, though in the case of this 2011 release, said contrast is achieved through a subtle circular etched pattern in the subdial rings.

Its bezel is of the pre-ceramic era, however, the overall look of this gold-on-gold Daytona is incredibly timeless, ensuring it will remain immensely desirable as the years (and decades) pass. Like its Presidential sibling we previously mentioned, the Everose gold Daytona uses applied baguette diamonds of varying length for its hour indices (other than the mighty gold crown at the 12 o’clock position.

Cosmograph Daytona Black Dial

Everose Gold Rolex Watches

The Cosmograph Daytona (116505) in Everose gold sports an ultra-modern look with its bold black dial contrasting with its warm pink gold 40mm Oyster case, flat three-piece link Oyster bracelet, and trio of sub-dials. The Everose bezel with engraved tachymetric scale and Everose screw-down chronograph pushers complete the look of a superior luxury sports watch.

Powering the Cosmograph Daytona is the Rolex proprietary Caliber 4130, a self-winding mechanical chronograph that boasts much fewer components than standard chronographs, thereby boosting the movement’s reliability. A machine on the wrist comparable to the machines on the racetrack, the Cosmograph Daytona Everose (116505) satisfies one’s need for speed.

Sky-Dweller Everose Gold

Rolex Everose Gold Chocolate Sky-Dweller

The warm tone of the Sky-Dweller 326135 Everose case coupled with the dark brown dial and strap look like another famous Swiss export – delicious chocolate – don’t you think? The Sky-Dweller is one of Rolex’s most complicated watches ever manufactured, so it makes sense that they’d outfit this luxurious timepiece with their proprietary rose gold alloy.

The “chocolate” brown dial on this watch perfectly matches the “tobacco” brown leather strap. The ref. 326135 also offers the “Sunburst” dial color option, which is essentially the same color as the pink case. Look closely and you’ll also realize that that (rare) leather band is also outfitted with an Everose gold clasp that’s secure, comfortable and totally luxe.

The Rolex Everose ‘Rootbeer’ GMT-Master II

Rolex_GMT Everose Gold

If you know Rolex, you know nicknames are kind of a big deal. So much so, just the name evokes a clear image of what watch you’re walking about. So when Rolex unveiled the first-ever Everose GMT-Master in 2018 with a Rootbeer bezel, collectors went wild. Traditionally, the Rootbeer is outfitted on a yellow gold watch, also featuring brown dials. So, this Everose version that also features a black dial (the brand’s modern departure) was quite notable.

What’s so beautiful about the Everose GMT-Master II is that it is one of those rare watches that somehow comes off understated regardless of its precious metal construction – the black and brown bezel blending almost perfectly with the warm, pink alloy. The perfect luxe companion for pilots or frequent flyers, this Everose GMT-Master II will be your trusty and stylish companion for years to come.

Lady Datejust

Rolex Lady Datejust 28

The consummate lady’s watch since 1957, the Rolex Lady Datejust was one of the first ladies’ watches to be certified as a chronometer for its notable precision. A favorite among women watch enthusiasts, the Lady Datejust transcends trends to retain its long-standing position as a style icon.

At any used Rolex store , this particular reference, the Lady Datejust ref 178341 with a 31mm Rolesor – a harmonious marriage of 904 steel and 18k Everose – Oyster case and matching Rolesor Oyster bracelet is made even more precious with the presence of diamonds. The domed Everose bezel is charmingly dotted with diamonds while the Roman “VI” on the chocolate dial stands out among the other numerals due to its size and diamond embellishment. Its beauty on the outside matching its mechanical excellence within, the Lady Datejust will remain timelessly elegant for generations to come.

Everose Rolex Presidential Ladies 279165

If you’re going to go for a statement piece, why not go all out? That’s half the design idea behind this Everose Rolex Presidential Ladies 279165. The matching rose dial with Roman numeral hour markers is so feminine and chic – perfectly complimenting the Everose oyster case and the 5-link Presidential band.

Besides the timeless aesthetics, this watch is outfitted with an automatic 2235 movement the classic quickset date, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, and of course, a waterproof twin-lock screw-down crown. Pairing incredibly accurate complications with timelessly luxurious Everose features, this Rolex Ladies President is a resounding favorite for our female clientele.

Oyster Perpetual

Yacht-Master

Staying on course, mapping invisible routes.

For those at sea, staying on course is a constant challenge. When dealing with the elements, nothing is certain and constant reaction is required to stay in the right direction. Since its launch in 1992, the Oyster Perpetual Yacht-Master has been equipped with a bidirectional rotatable bezel that facilitates the calculation and reading of navigational time. Elegantly combining functionality and nautical style, this watch has made its mark well beyond its professional realm.

A shared quest for precision

Knowing where you are in space and time, setting a course and sticking to it are vital in navigation. Given its function, the watch is an essential tool for sailors to assess their position. Regarded as the most precise horological instruments in the world, marine chronometers have been certified by astronomical observatories since the 18th century. At the time, the ultimate authority for measuring chronometric precision was the Kew Observatory in Great Britain.

In 1914, the founder of Rolex, Hans Wilsdorf, had one of the brand’s watches tested by this very observatory, which certified it as a chronometer: a first in the watchmaking world for a wristwatch. Since then, renowned sailors, such as Sir Francis Chichester and Bernard Moitessier, have navigated the seas with Rolex wristwatches serving as onboard chronometers.

Matching the precision of marine chronometers was fundamental to Rolex’s watchmaking.

Designed for navigators

Sailing occupies a special place in the world of Rolex. In 1958, the brand partnered the New York Yacht Club, creator of the legendary America’s Cup. Rolex then formed partnerships with several prestigious yacht clubs around the world and became associated with major nautical events – offshore races and coastal regattas.

These strong ties culminated in 1992 with the launch of the Yacht-Master. Boasting the robustness and waterproofness of our Oyster case, this chronometer is fitted with a bidirectional bezel with raised 60-minute graduations to enable navigational time to be calculated and read.

Precious on land and at sea

Available in three diameters – 37, 40 and 42 mm – and in various precious versions – 18 ct yellow, white and Everose gold – as well as in Everose Rolesor and Rolesium versions, the Yacht-Master is unique in the world of Rolex professional watches. An elegant watch with a sporty character, it was the first to be paired with an Oysterflex bracelet in 2015.

In 2023, after testing under real-life conditions by acclaimed helmsman Sir Ben Ainslie, Rolex launched a new version of the Yacht-Master 42. It is made of RLX titanium, a high-performance material, at once light, robust and corrosion resistant.

A veritable ally at sea, the Yacht-Master also elegantly adorns the wrists of navigators once back on solid ground. With many different versions, it is a model that transcends its seafaring origins. It has become a watch for those who know how to change course without losing sight of the horizon, moving freely.
