ACI Marina Umag is located in the picturesque city of Umag , about 30 km from Poreč . This marina can accommodate vessels up to 60 meters in length. It is renowned for its high quality and excellent service , having been awarded the "Tourism Flower – Quality for Croatia" award and the prestigious Blue Flag . The nearest airport is Pula Airport, approximately 80 km away . ACI Marina Umag is open year-round , providing everything sailors need for a pleasant stay. Sailors should be aware of Paklena Shoal , situated half a mile northeast of the marina entrance, marked by a lighthouse. The harbour entrance, open to the northwest, lies between a red-lighted buoy and a green unlighted buoy. Sailors need to navigate south of a rock marker north of the red buoy.  

After passing these buoys, the breakwater light becomes visible.ACI Marina Umag offers a variety of services to ensure a comfortable stay. General Information & Marina Services

Umag, a town and a port on the nortwestern coast of Istria, is the first nautical entry into Croatia from central Europe, only 40 kilometers from Trieste and 50 nautical miles from Venice. The town dates back to ancient times and is situated in the attractive bay whose most beautiful ornament it the prestigious ACI marina Umag. The marina has 475 berths available, can receive yachts up to 40 m long, and has, for the past 14 years, proudly flown the Blue flag, a guarantee of clean sea and superior equipment. In 2000 ACI marina Umag was pronounced the best marina on the Croatian side of the Adriatic.

Connections Umag is well connected to the rest of Europe via a road network and within 100 km there are three international airports Pula (80 km), Trieste (70 km) and Ljubljana (134 km). Distances: Trieste - 40 km, Milan - 470 km, Graz - 330 km, Vienna - 540 km, Munich - 450 km, Budapest - 640 km.

Approach When entering, special attention should be paid to Paklena Shoal, half a mile on the northeastern side of the entrance to the harbor. Paklena Shoal is marked by a lighthouse (Fl (2) WR 8s 10m 8/6 M), which can be used as a way point (45°26,5’ N 13°30,3’ E). The harbor is open to the northwest and one must enter it between a red lighted (Fl R 3s 2M) and green unlighted buoy. To the north, next to the red buoy there is a mark on a rock (black - yellow), which must be rounded from the south. When approaching, it is recommended to keep to a course of 60°. The light positioned on the breakwater (Fl (3) R 3s 8m 4M) is visible after passing the described buoys. The sea depth in the marked channel is 4 m.

Wir haben von Bekannten gehört, dass Marinamitarbeiter absichtlich die Muringleine in die Schraube ziehen. Bei uns war das definitiv nicht der Fall. Dennoch aufpassen. Sanitäranlagen relativ weit weg.

An der Nordwest-Ecke von Istrien gelegen, ist Umag für diejenigen, die von Grado oder Lignano aus nach Kroatien fahren, meist der günstigste Hafen zum Einklarieren. Die Ansteuerung ist unproblematisch. Direkt vor der Hafeneinfahrt, einlaufend Backbord ist eine Untiefe mit Kardinalszeichen. Unter normalen Verhältnissen kommt man nicht in Versuchung dort drauf zu fahren.

Hafen von Umag

An der Nordseite des sehr großen Hafenbeckens befindet sich eine ACI-Marina mit allen Versorgungsmöglichkeiten. Einklarieren kann man hier nicht sondern südlich gegenüber beim Croatischen Zoll . Am Büro wird täglich der Wetterbericht ausgehängt. Im Hafenbecken liegen etliche Bojen aus, die den Sportbootfahrern zur Verfügung stehen. Das Übernachten an der Boje kostete im September 2006 mit einem 16 m -Boot 11,00 €. Der südliche Hafenbereich ist den Fähren und Touristendampfern vorbehalten.

Das Hafenamt ist auf der Südseite der Bucht unter der Adresse Josipa B. Tita 3,52470 Umag einquartiert (Tel. 052 741 662 / Fax. 052 741 538). Es sind mehrere Berichte online, welche dem Hafenmeister "kompliziertheit" vorwerfen. Bürozeiten von 07:00 bis 20:00(Sommer) respektive 15:00 (Winter).

Die Stadt Umag

Nördlich des Hafens befinden sich Hotels und weiträumige Ferienanlagen. Südlich des Hafens liegt die romantische Altstadt mit Marktplatz und Campanile. Einige Restaurants liegen direkt am Ufer, hier kann man beim Abendessen dem Schiffsverkehr zusehen. Von der Marina bis zur Altstadt ist es eine schöne Strecke zu Laufen. Wer das nicht mag oder kann, sollte mit dem Touristenbähnchen fahren, das zwischen Nordstadt und Südstadt pendelt.

Umag is a picturesque Mediterranean town-port on the north-western Istrian shore. It is located in an attractive bay, which also contains one of the most prestigious ACI marinas with the Blue Flag. Besides the marina, 10 more beaches have been awarded the Blue flag, an international symbol of sea clarity and beach adaptations. Some of the more beautiful and famous beaches in Umag are the Laguna Stella Maris beach, Katoro beach, Aurora beach and Kanegra beach. Umag has an exceptionally interesting past. It was discovered by roman noblemen in ancient history who decided to transform it into their summer manor. The glow, luxury and glamour of those times is mirrored in the Venetian houses located in the old Umag core. Parts of town walls and forts have been preserved in the town, as well as baroque and renaissance churches and buildings. Umag has several historical sites, such as St. Mary church (from the 15th century, adorned with frescoes), church of the Assumpion of the Virgin Mary and St. Pelegrio (built in 1507, after the apparition of the plague) as well as the old part of the town which is not as rich with historical buildings as it is attractive because of its position. The town is surrounded by the sea and has a picturesque town center. Umag is best-known as the center of the international ATP tournament since 1990. This place is ideal for your vacation because of its natural beauties, history, tradition, as well as the warm Mediterranean climate. Rich sports offer, exceptionally esteemed authentic gastronomy, as well as wine and olive roads contribute to its attraction. Active vacation enthusiasts will find whatever they want in Umag, because it is a town of tourism and sports. Rovinj is a small city located on the western coast of Istria. It is rich with historical landmarks, of which we recommend the following: Old Town, City Walls and Gates, Church of St. Euphemia, Baptistry of the Holy Trinity, Franciscan Monastery, the castle on the island of St. Andrew and Dvigrad. Apart from its historical landmarks, Rovinj is rich with natural beauty, as well. Be sure to visit sights such as Limska Draga, the Rovinj islands and coastal region, “Zlatni Rat” Forest Park, “Fantazija” quarry, “Palud” marsh and the Dvije Sestrice islands.

Pazin is a city with a long and rich tradition, located in the very heart of the Istrian peninsula. It is famous for its various historical and natural attractions such as the following: Pazin castle, St. Nicholas parish church, Franciscan monastery, memorial home, old high school, bishop’s seminary, the island Pazinčica and the Pazin cave. Sports fans can take part in activities such as biking, walking, free climbing, fishing, as well as many other activities.
