The temperamental volcanoes and the slow holiday pace

One of the most popular destinations for Spartivento clients is the UNESCO-protected  Aeolian Islands . The islands of Vulcano, Lipari, Salina, Panarea, Stromboli, Filicudi and Alicudi are located in the blue-green Mediterranean Sea on the north-east coast of Sicily and each has its own character and personality.

The stunning waters here are a sailor's paradise, where not only sailing enthusiasts but also swimmers and divers will enjoy themselves. Hiking fans can climb one of the volcanoes and gourmets can enjoy crispy cannoli tubes washed down with delicious malvasia. During the cruise, Stromboli, still one of the world's most active volcanoes, can be observed from a respectful distance (or up close). And the islands of Filicudi and Alicudi, almost untouched by tourism, are also worth mentioning. They will be especially appreciated by all lovers of a slow pace.

Spartivento Yachts – Lagoon Catamarans

How to feel at home aboard a catamaran, with its sailuxe service and share sail timeshare program, spartivento pleases every sailor.

Since 2001, Spartivento has been offering boat vacations among the beautiful Italian coastline to more than 12,000 clients a year. The company boasts a fleet of more than 130 monohull sailboats and catamarans spread across 6 bases in Sicily, the Amalfi Coast, Tuscany and Sardinia. The fleet consists of new boats from 34 to 65 feet from the French shipyards Lagoon, Beneteau and Jeanneau, for which the Group is also the official dealer. With a network of offices spread along 2,500 kilometers of Italian coastline, Spartivento has become a symbol of excellence, leading the charter sector in the Mediterranean. In 2019, Spartivento launched the Sailuxe brand, a crewed charter service dedicated to luxury charters. The fleet consists of Lagoon catamarans from 50 to 65 feet, equipped with every comfort. The crew consists of: a captain familiar with the sailing area, a chef trained by the Gambero Rosso Academy, plus a professional hostess. The current flagship of the Sailuxe fleet is Strafico, a Lagoon 55 with custom interiors available in the Aeolian Islands departing from Capo d’Orlando. In September 2024, the fleet will be enriched by a Lagoon Sixty 5, which will be part of Spartivento’s Share Sail program, the first and only nautical timeshare program in Italy. Share Sail allows an owner to purchase a share of a boat, sharing the remainder with up to three other owners. Owners participating in the program will be able to enjoy vacations aboard their boat for up to 7 weeks a year between the Mediterranean and the Caribbean.

The comfort level of the Lagoon 55, one of Spartivento’s “bestselling” models, allows guests to feel like they are on a seaside villa, as can be seen from the comfortable stern descents.
