Mimico Cruising Club is a wedding banquet hall located in Toronto, Ontario. Situated by the harbour, this elegant waterside venue exudes a serene ambience. A versatile and private space, it can host indoor or outdoor events, making it suitable for ceremonies and receptions. Combine these attractive features with a dedicated staff who want to create a seamless experience, and it is a truly wedding-worthy venue.

Facilities and Capacity

For the all-important ceremony, the wedding party can take their seats on the lawn space that looks out across the marina. For an open-air setting, everyone can be bathed in sunlight as the couple joins together in matrimony. Tall trees and neatly planted shrubbery provide touches of natural beauty for the milestone as rings are exchanged and vows are recited. A floral arch marks the spot where to-be-weds stand as the pierside scenery provides the backdrop. Alternatively, this area can be covered over for occasions when shelter is required. Indeed, a fully indoor setting may be tastefully arranged for those who are dreaming of an “I do” moment in front of a grand fireplace. Rapturous applause and heartfelt congratulatory words are sure to follow the moment when the newlyweds are officially announced. Afterward, the couple can drift away to enjoy some photos. Owing to Mimico Cruising Club’s location, magical mementos can be preserved against elegant yachts, the city skyline, and other picturesque sites.

For the reception, as few as 40 or as many as approximately 110 guests can be accommodated as everyone settles in for a memorable occasion. The Main Room offers space for dining, drinking, and dancing. The decor is defined by wooden flooring, charming exposed beams, and minimalist touches that create a laid-back ambience. Natural light adds a bright and elegant atmosphere to the setting as the revelries continue long into the night.

Services Offered

A variety of wedding packages offers a range of convenient inclusions for couples and their guests to make use of. Perhaps the most comprehensive bundle available includes a cocktail reception bar, hors d’oeuvres, and an after-dinner bar. Event enhancements are available such as chair covers and audio equipment. An event-planning option may also be offered for those who require assistance bringing everything together appropriately.

A myriad of culinary delights are available to choose from the menus available at Mimico Cruising Club. Salads, pastas, delicious entrees, vegetarian fare, exquisite desserts, and more can all be enjoyed. Serving styles may be varied to suit the occasion, and a rich selection of beverages can also be served to complement the gastronomic experience.

We had our wedding ar Mimico Cruising Club in July 2016. We were very happy with the location, food and the friendliest staff there. The ambience is great with sailboats and surrounded by water, perfect for an outdoor ceremony. Our wedding photos shot at the venue look amazing. When booking the event we were offered a social membership for the season at no additional cost. We live close by so we fully took advantage of the offer and went there quite often for dinner throughout the summer. The chef prepares a different fish dish each Friday so it was defenitively a treat. The staff is very friendly and made us feel very welcomed each time. Thank you Mimico staff for giving us a great wedding experience.

We couldn’t be happier with the Mimico Cruising Club. We chose the club as the venue for both our wedding ceremony and reception in July 2016 and the entire experience was beyond our expectations. The venue truly sells itself. The property is beautifully maintained with eye catching flower gardens and lawns. The views of the boats and sunset over the water from the 2nd floor dining room and wrap around deck are incredible. Beyond the property – is the staff. John the General Manager took a keen interest in our wedding from the day we met and was on top of things throughout the whole planning process. He is very straight forward. Any question we had was answered and everything he said he would do, he did, and did it well. George, the food and beverage manager, and his staff did an incredible job with the food. To reiterate what Olga noted in her review below – our guests also raved about the food. Every guest we have spoken to made special mention of how great it was. The cruising club is a hidden gem. It is not a wedding factory, which hosts multiple weddings on the same day. It is a special place that focuses on your wedding and your wedding only. We highly recommend it. Casey and Matt

Mimico is an amazing place for a wedding! We had our wedding back in August. The food was incredible - the guests are still complimenting it! A special thank you to John, the General Manager! He helped us coordinate everything for the wedding, and made sure we had everything on the day of. They are very flexible, and you can personalize your big day exactly as you wish. We pre-ordered a very specific wine, ordered ice-cream to be served on the lawn before the ceremony, had hors d'oeuvres passed around, etc. The service was excellent! There was a thunderstorm and a tornado warning on the day of our wedding, but the team made sure that moving the ceremony inside was seamless and stress-free, and just as beautiful. We absolutely loved having a cozy, heartfealt ambiance that Mimico Cruising provided. The wrap-around patio has gorgeous view of the lake and the CN tower. It is a very secluded venue close to downtown, and they only book one event per day. It is a fantastic venue for a wedding!

An excellent place for a wedding! My wife, family, and friends were very impressed with the venue! Beautiful place with a beautiful view of the lake! Food was very good and the prices were very reasonable. I would highly recommend the Mimico Cruising Club for a wedding venue!

We are members here and had an event for my daughters birthday with approx 50 friends, family and children. They let us set up with our own flowers and balloons and decor which was nice. We had the entire patio and boat room which we enjoyed. My guests had a wonderful time and so did my daughter. The party was almost a week ago and guests still keep saying what a great party. The Girls who were serving us could not have been better downstairs - Mariana and I forget the other girls name. In particular they were great and John was great in coordinating the event and taking care of any issues. All in all it was a perfect day and now we want to do the same party there annually ! ♡♡♡

Hi John, I just want to thank you for all your help in organizing and setting up for our daughter's engagement party. It was a great success and we received several phone calls from friends of how much they enjoyed the party at Mimico- the food was great, and the service was terrific! John and I will spread the word to other members about what a nice place Mimico is for entertaining and your great help with the planning.
