Admiral’s in-house design team created the exterior and interior of the 65.9-meter (216-foot) GC FORCE 66 superyacht. She will debut in 2023, hosting up to 12 passengers in six staterooms, each with its own bathroom, and a crew of 15, making life at sea a breeze. A winter garden, the main deck aft is ideal for al fresco dining and entertaining in all seasons. The stern is furnished with sofas that convert to loungers, and a pair of stairs leads down to a large swim platform and a beach club with retractable sides.

At sunset, the top deck aft is a prime spot to relax with a drink thanks to the symmetrical arrangement of two sloping sofas that meet at a circular sofa/sunbed and a drinks table between them. The sundeck features a spa pool with sunbeds on either side, all of which are covered by canvas biminis, while the foredeck includes a touch-and-go helipad. A bar and a shady area for outdoor dining are located in the center of the structure. Both sides of the aft section’s sofa-sunbeds face a table in the middle, perfect for setting down a cool drink. Guest and staff quarters are located below deck, in a beach club that features a gym, sauna, and swimming pool, with retractable bulwarks for further room. The shipyard has not yet provided any additional information on the vessel’s interior. The maximum speed the engines can produce is 15.5 knots, and the average speed while cruising is 14.5 knots.

The OKTO was built by  ISA  and delivered in 2014. She was refitted in 2016 by  Amico & Co  and Rybovich Shipyards.

Invictus is a custom motor yacht launched in 2013 by Delta Marine in Seattle, United States.

Located in Seattle, Washington, Delta Marine is a custom builder of yachts up to 100 meters in length. Delta specializes in composite construction, and works in both steel and aluminum as well. Italiensk avis: Én person er død og seks savnet etter at yacht kantret

Den italienske avisen Corriere Della Sera melder at en person er død og seks savnet etter at en 50 meter lang seilbåt kantret utenfor den nordlige delen av Sicilia, i nærheten av Porticello.

22 personer var om bord på seilbåten som kantret ved 5-tiden natt til mandag som følge av høye bølger og kraftig vind. Kystvakten har reddet 15 personer, melder Sky News Italia, som skriver at båten havnet i en tornado.

Båten seilte under britisk flagg, og de fleste om bord var britiske. Tre personer fra henholdsvis New Zealand, Irland og Sri Lanka, og to fra Frankrike, skal ha vært om bord, ifølge Sky News. 

Båten var i underkant av en kilometer ut fra kysten da den sank, skriver la Republica.

En ettåring er blant personene som ble reddet, og ble fraktet til et barnesykehus i Palermo.

Bilder frigitt av det italienske brannvesenet viser at det søkes etter personer i området.

Marianne (74) og Per Atle (80) omkom i boligbrannen i Brattvåg

Det var Marianne og Per Atle Karlsnes som omkom i boligbrannen i Brattvåg 20. august.

De pårørende er informet at navnene frigis til media, skriver politiet i Møre og Romsdal i en pressemelding.

Natt til tirsdag rykket brannvesenet ut til en bolig med tre boenheter som sto i full fyr. En person med alvorlige skader ble fraktet til sykehus med luftambulanse. Vedkommende døde senere av skadene.  

En annen person ble funnet død inne i bygget noen timer senere. 

Person truffet av stein i Jotunheimen – redningsaksjon iverksatt

– En person er truffet av stein på stien mellom Gjendesheim og Memurubu. Vi har iverksatt redningsaksjon, opplyser politiet i Innlandet.

Området ligger i Vågå kommune i Jotunheimen. 

Frivillig personell er varslet og luftambulanse er på plass i området om kort tid, melder politiet.

Det var to personer i en turfølge da hendelsen skjedde. 

– Den ene ble truffet av en stein. Den andre varslet politiet om hendelsen, opplyser politiet i Innlandet.

KrF-ledelsen møter pressen etter dagens sentralstyremøte

KrFs ledelse kommer til å være tilgjengelige for pressen etter møteslutt torsdag. Møtestart er klokken 16. 

Det er foreløpig ikke kjent om partileder Olaug Bollestad skal delta på møtet.

Forrige uke ble det kjent at det er levert inn et varsel til partiet som handler om hennes lederstil.

Partileder Olaug Bollestad har siden mai vært sykmeldt, og etter at det forrige helg ble innlevert varsler mot henne fra ansatte i partiet, ble sykmeldingen forlenget til 31. august.

– Vi kan ikke per nå svare på når møteslutt er, men undertegnede kommer til å sende ut en ny e-post til dere når det nærmer seg pressetreff, skriver pressesjef Astrid-Therese Theisen i en pressemelding.

Partene i arbeidslivet forventer en årslønnsvekst på 5,1 prosent

Partene i arbeidslivet forventer en årslønnsvekst på 5,1 prosent, viser Norges Banks forventningsundersøkelse. Det er en svak økning fra forrige kvartal.

– Økonomiekspertenes forventninger til gjennomsnittlig årslønnsvekst i inneværende år er 5,1 prosent, uendret fra forrige kvartal, heter det i Norges Banks forventningsundersøkelse for tredje kvartal.

Videre skriver de at partene i arbeidslivet forventer en årslønnsvekst på 5,1 prosent, opp 0,1 prosentpoeng fra forrige kvartal. Næringslivslederne forventer en årslønnsvekst i egen bedrift på 4,8 prosent for inneværende år, ned 0,3 prosentpoeng fra forrige kvartal.

Når det gjelder reallønnsveksten, forventer økonomene en gjennomsnittlig reallønnsvekst på 1,5 prosent i inneværende år. Det er opp 0,3 prosentpoeng fra forrige kvartal. Partene i arbeidslivet har lagt sitt anslag ett hakk under, med en forventning om reallønnsvekst på 1,4 prosent i samme periode, opp 0,1 prosentpoeng fra forrige kvartal.

Økonomene anslår en prisstigning på varer og tjenester på 3,1 prosent om tolv måneder, en nedgang på 0,5 prosentpoeng fra forrige kvartal.

Undersøkelsen ble gjennomført i tidsrommet 19. juli til 8. august.

Tre sørkoreanske skiprofiler omkom i frontkollisjon på treningsleir

Tre sørkoreanske toppidrettsutøvere mistet livet i en front-mot-front-kollisjon på en motorvei på New Zealand onsdag.

Ytterligere to andre personer ble alvorlig skadet i ulykken, opplyser lokalt politi og sørkoreanske idrettsmyndigheter.

To biler skal ha kollidert i et veikryss nær byen Geraldine på Sørøya på New Zealand, opplyser distriktets politiinspektør Vicki Walker.

Føreren av den andre bilen ble alvorlig skadet. Begge de overlevende ble fraktet til et sykehus i byen Christchurch.

Verken politiet på New Zealand eller sørkoreanske myndigheter har identifisert ofrene.

En talsmann for den sørkoreanske OL-komiteen opplyser samtidig at de tre omkomne var sørkoreanske skiutøvere som besøkte New Zealand for å trene. Sør-Koreas ski- og snowboardforbund har ikke uttalt seg i saken.

Det sørkoreanske utenriksdepartementet opplyser at det yter konsulær bistand i saken, uten å oppgi ytterligere detaljer.

Kongsberg skal bygge missilfabrikk i Australia

Med pengestøtte fra den australske regjeringen skal norske Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace bygge en ny missilfabrikk i Australia.

Fabrikken skal produsere og vedlikeholde sjømålsmissiler for det australske forsvaret (ADF).

 – Byggingen av fabrikken skal etter planen starte senere dette året, og representerer et stort framskritt for Australias forsvarsindustri, skriver det australske forsvarsdepartementet .

Den australske regjeringen betaler 850 millioner australske dollar, tilsvarende 6 milliarder kroner, for å få bygget fabrikken.

Fabrikken skal ligge i nærheten av flyplassen i byen Newcastle på østkysten av Australia, om lag 120 kilometer nord for Sydney.

Det blir den første norske missilfabrikken utenfor Norge.

– Dette er en milepæl for Kongsberg og norsk forsvarsindustri, sier forsvarsminister Bjørn Arild Gram (Sp).

– Ikke bare er dette en stor anerkjennelse av Kongsberg Defence and Aerospace, men det viser også at norskutviklet forsvarsteknologi bidrar til global sikkerhet, sier han.

I starten av neste måned drar han på en omfattende rundtur til Asia og Australia.

I Australia skal han delta på en offisielle åpningen av et nytt produksjonsanlegg til Kongsberg Defence and Aerospace (KDA) i Adelaide sør i landet.

– Det som skjer i Stillehavsregionen har stadig større betydning for Norge. Samtidig har Norge har mye å bidra med, sier Gram.

Gutt ble alvorlig skadet i kvelningslek inspirert av Tiktok

En gutt i ungdomsskolealder ble før sommeren innlagt på sykehus med alvorlige skader etter en kvelningslek med opphav fra Tiktok, kalt «headlock challenge». 

 Den 14 år gamle gutten ble innlagt på Stavanger universitetssjukehus (SUS) i fem uker i mai, skriver Stavanger Aftenblad.

– Denne leken er livsfarlig. Du kan aldri vite hvor lang tid det tar før den andre personen får alvorlige skader, sier avdelingssjef Mehdi Rezai ved nevrosenteret på SUS.

Utfordringen går ut på å holde en person i et slags kvelertak eller brytegrep som stenger luftveiene, og man skal slippe grepet når personen blir holdt fast gir signal. Poenget er å holde ut lengst mulig.

– Å holde noen i en såkalt «headlock» kan ikke bare føre til besvimelse, men også alvorlig hjerneskade og i verste fall død, sier legen til avisen.

Gutten besvimte etter å ha eksperimentert med utfordringen sammen med kompiser, og traff en fortauskant da han gikk i bakken. Han fikk påvist alvorlige hodeskader.

Etter hendelsen ble det sendt ut en epost til samtlige ungdomsskoler i Stavanger kommune fra rektoren på skolen gutten gikk på, for å advare foresatte om lignende trender i sosiale medier. 

– Slike utfordringer kan få svært alvorlige konsekvenser. Vi ønsker å rette fokus på hva som spres via sosiale medier, der barn og ungdom i noen tilfeller ikke ser alvoret og konsekvensene ved å teste ut slike utfordringer, sto det i eposten ifølge Stavanger Aftenblad. 

Kilde til Reuters: Datteren til tek-milliardær Mike Lynch fremdeles savnet

Person nummer fem er hentet ut av yachten som sank utenfor Sicilia, melder Sky News torsdag. Dermed er seks personer bekreftet døde. 

Leteaksjonen har gått inn i sin fjerde dag. Det pågår fremdeles søk etter den siste personen som er savnet.

Yachten er eid av kona til den britiske milliardæren og teknologigründeren Mike Lynch – også kjent som «Storbritannias Bill Gates». Mike Lynch ble funnet torsdag, melder Reuters. Nyhetsbyrået gjengir en lukket kilde som står nær leteaksjonen.

Onsdag siterte TV 2 og andre internasjonale medier sjefen for sivilforsvaret på Sicilia at Lynch og hans 18 år gamle datter var funnet, men Reuters har altså nå en kilde på at hun fremdeles er savnet.

Det var natt til mandag at luksuyachten «Bayesian» kantret og sank på grunn av uvær utenfor den italienske øya.

Totalt var 22 personer om bord. 15 av dem overlevde, mens én kanadisk-antiguansk statsborger ble funnet død få timer etter forliset.

Vraket ligger på 50 meters dyp og italiensk brannvesen beskriver redningsaksjonen som komplisert.

Marius Borg Høiby skal i avhør neste uke

Marius Borg Høiby skulle etter planen avhøres torsdag. Nå er planen endret.

Politiadvokat Henriette Taxt Røstadli sier i en pressemelding at torsdagens avhør er avlyst, fordi Høibys forsvarer er forhindret fra å stille torsdag.

Derfor planlegger de nå for å avhøre Høiby i løpet av neste uke.

Marius Borg Høiby er sønnen til kronprinsesse Mette Marit. Han ble tidligere i august siktet for vold og skadeverk.

Den homofile pingvinen Sphen er død

Akvariet Sea Life i Sydney i Australia er i sorg etter at den berømte pingvinen Sphen har gått bort i en alder av elleve år.

Dødsfallet skjedde tidligere i august, og Sea Life har nå publisert en nekrolog på sin hjemmeside . Sphen ble aldri far til noen pingviner selv, men med sin mannlige make Magic adopterte han to kyllinger i løpet av livet sitt. Ulikt de fleste pingviner holdt de også sammen utenfor paringssesongen.

Magic og Sphen holdt sammen i seks år og var et av verdens mest profilerte pingvinpar. De fikk til og med en rolle i Netflix-serien «Atypical» og ble skrevet om i en rekke bøker.

Ifølge akvariets daglige leder, Richard Dilly, førte berømmelsen til at akvariet kunne spre viktige budskap om pingvinvern, plastforurensing, klimaendringer og behovet for penger for å hjelpe bestanden. 

Nå skal akvariet hjelpe enkemannen Magic gjennom den tunge tiden. Han fikk se sin avdøde partner slik at det skulle bli lettere for ham å forstå at Sphen ikke kommer tilbake.

– Han begynte umiddelbart å synge, og resten av pingvinene stemte i, heter det i en uttalelse fra akvariet.

Live updates: No one remembers the mast snapping before 56m superyacht Bayesian sunk, says crew

No one recalls seeing the mast snap on board the 56-metre Perini Navi sailing yacht Bayesian which sunk off the Italian island of Sicily on 19 August. The eyewitness account of a crewmember on board the vessel, which was obtained by BOAT International , said that the boat was struck by a freak weather event which led to the yacht heeling at around 20 degrees to starboard. As crewmembers were securing items, the heeling angle began to increase rapidly until the yacht started sinking.

The crewmembers who were up on deck were able to evacuate the yacht with minor injuries. The yacht is understood to have sunk in just twelve minutes, and it is believed that a "major ingress" of water from the top down would have caused the sinking, according to a captain who wishes to remain anonymous. This is based on the fact that no breaches have been reported in the yacht's hull, and the fact that the yacht should have been able to remain afloat with two flooded compartments.

The captain of the sistership to the sunken 56-metre Perini Navi sailing yacht Bayesian has said it is "very difficult to understand what could have overwhelmed a vessel of that size" and called the 56-metre Perini Navi series "bulletproof".

David Hutchinson, captain of Rosehearty , said he had taken the yacht around the world multiple times and he had "total faith in the boat".  "We've been to Antarctica and Chile, and we've had her in 70 knots of wind," he says, and the vessel had never put them in a situation that felt unmanageable.

However, Hutchinson noted there were differences between Bayesian and Rosehearty ; notably, Bayesian's  74-metre mast, which would have been heavier and added increased windage. The yacht's layout was also different, with guest accommodation on Bayesian located further forward.

Who's currently missing in the Bayesian disaster?

The yacht's sinking in Italy has resulted in six confirmed deaths and one additional person missing.

The missing individuals are:

• British tech entrepreneur Mike Lynch, once dubbed 'Britain's Bill Gates'
• Lynch's 18-year-old daughter, Hannah
• Morgan Stanley's chairman, Jonathan Bloomer
• Judy Bloomer, wife of Morgan Stanley chairman
• Chris Morvillo, a lawyer working for London-based law firm Clifford Chance
• Neda Morvillo, an American jewellery designer and Chris' wife

It is understood that the yacht was being used to celebrate Lynch's recent victory in a 13-year £8 billion fraud acquittal.

• A search and rescue is currently underway for one missing person in the waters off Palermo on the Italian island of Sicily. 
• According to Reuters, five bodies have now been found in the sunken yacht, but their identities have not been revealed. One further person was found immediately after the yacht sunk. One person is still unaccounted for. 
• Mike Lynch, a British technology entrepreneur who co-founded Autonomy Corporation and founded Invoke Capital, is among the missing.
• Lynch’s wife, Angela Bacares, and a one-year-old are among the fifteen people rescued along with Bayesian' s captain, James Cutfield.
• Palermo Coastguard has confirmed one body that has been recovered is that of the yacht's chef.
• Another sailing vessel in the area, the 42-metre Sir Robert Baden Powell ,  stepped in to offer assistance in the initial rescue.
• Divers have been able to reach Bayesian' s sunken hull, which lies at 45 metres of depth about half a mile from the coast. The yacht had the largest aluminium masts of any sailing yacht on the water.
• Eyewitnesses in the area reported "hurricane" conditions off the coast but local weather websites did not indicate any severe squall, which suggests that the weather event was not forecast.
• At around 5am local time on 19 August, Bayesian was hit by bad weather and sunk.  The sailing yacht was anchored or idle at the time of the incident.

Built in Italy by renowned builder Perini Navi and delivered in 2008, the yacht's naval architecture was developed by Ron Holland Design while the interior design is by Rémi Tessier . She was formerly known as Salute and was last refitted in 2016. She was listed for sale earlier this year, according to BOATPro . The yacht had accommodation for nine guests and 12 crew.
