Our chef will work with you to create the perfect menu for your event. Or, if you prefer outside catering, our event team will work with you to select the best options the San Francisco Bay area has to offer.

We work with you to pick the best date and time for your cruise to catch the perfect sunrise, sunset, full moon, or peak hours for watching wildlife. We recommend booking your charter at least six weeks in advance.

Whether you're celebrating a Birthday, Anniversary, Memorial or other special event, we would be happy to help with ideas to decorate including banners, table settings, floral arrangements, favors, and more.

We do have a full tended bar on board, let us know your beverage of choice, we would be happy to have the ingredients available on board for your cruise! For our non-alcoholic selections, we offer juices, classic sodas, bottled water and mocktails.

Just Dreaming was originally commissioned in 1963 by master shipbuilders, Stephen Brothers of Stockton, California. Just Dreaming Yacht provides an elegant, luxurious setting for your event. Her wooden hull and classic lines are beautiful. Her smooth and comfortable ride gives you and your party a chance to relax. With a complete renovation in 2002, she has modern amenities and is gorgeous inside and out. The modernized galley and bathrooms have been redone as well as the sound system.

Just Dreaming Yacht is perfect for day trips or overnight excursions to the outer limits of the San Francisco Bay and Delta waterways. Her tastefully appointed interior features:

What a delightful experience we chartered the Yacht to celebrate a friend going away, we sailed to Sausalito and docked for 1 hour lunch after lunch back on board and cruised the bay.

Captain Rod was fantastic Lika the Stu she was so attentive to us all we had light snacks and beverages on board I am a repeat customer I used Passage Nautical for a wine event in 2020 1 thousand percent I would charter with them.

The best place in all of the West Coast to go to charter a boat of your dreams!! I went out with my fiancé to see if our wish to perhaps purchase one of our own was worth it, and the folks at Passage Nautical could not have been more helpful!  We had so much fun on our charter, and our skipper was super friendly and supplied us with lots of useful information that we couldn’t have been more happy about the day.

Loved the vessel!  Our Captain and crew were friendly, informative and extremely professional. Managed to find nearly a dozen Humpbacks displaying lunge feeding behaviors. Marc Herrenbruck

Born and raised in the Bay Area, Captain Marc has been sailing and motoring on SF Bay for 35 years. He holds a 100 Ton Captains License and is a longtime member of the St. Francis Yacht Club. He is thrilled to be able to show others this incredible place we call home.

Richard Foregger

USCG 500-Ton Master (3rd issue) skippering some of the finest yachts on San Francsico Bay and the West Coast. Captain Richard has more than 15 years experience as a professional captain. Originally from New York, he grew up in Colombia and Brazil and began his yachting career in Puget Sound.

What to Expect

What to wear.

The bay has many faces and we will do our best to make your journey the most comfortable, but we always recommend the below for your comfort and safety:

​Bring layers of clothing, as it’s better to take layers off versus not having layers to put on. Please note, we will ask you to take your shoes off upon boarding the boat, and we provide sanitized SUPER COMFY slippers. We also have cozy sanitized deck blankets, as well.

Our Disclaimer

ChinChin provides a safe and smooth ride on San Francisco Bay. Typically, guests do not experience seasickness, as ChinChin has very stable platforms. However, that being said, we are on the Bay, and recommend purchasing necessary medications that you may need prior to boarding if you are prone to seasickness. We do not have any medications on board.

If you are running late, please give us a call: (415)519-0738 . We can wait up to 30 minutes beyond your scheduled departure time. If you need to cancel LESS THAN 72 hours before departure your payment is nonrefundable. If you selected any same-day packages and cancel, a 20% cancellation fee will be retained, with the remainder being refunded.

What if there is bad weather?

The Captain reserves the right to cancel or delay the charter, due to weather or unforeseen circumstances. The Captain has ultimate authority and say on all activities on ChinChin that would imperil the safety of passengers, crew or boat.

​ Our Captains continuously monitor the weather as part of their professional responsibilities to the vessel and client. They are the only person who may cancel a charter due to weather. If there is extreme weather and our captain deems it unsafe to operate we will offer a refund and/or a reschedule. Extreme weather in the Bay Area is categorized as heavy rain and/or strong wind and/or waves.

We will contact you, the client, 72-24 hours before your event in such case, except for same day reservations.

Is gratuity included?

Bareboat charter fees fees do not include gratuity for the captain and crew. We encourage you to present gratuity directly to your Captain in cash if appropriate.  The customary gratuity is 8% and 12% of the vessel rental cost and is divided equally among all.

Where is the pick-up and drop-off location?

As you leave the Ferry Building, turn to you your right and walk to the next building which is Pier 1 ½. You will see La Mar Restaurant and a sign that says Water Taxi. Walk straight through and you will see the dock. Should you require assistance please call (415)519-0738 .

San Francisco’s historic Ferry Building houses a vibrant artisan marketplace. While we have a variety of services, our focus is on washing and cosmetic maintenance. We also provide waxing, varnishing, interior cleaning as well as carpet cleaning services. Our goal is to not try to do many things well but rather do some things exceptionally. Department Overview

Operations Support is dedicated to creating cross-commodity consistency and standards in Operations. The team provides support services guided by best practices and a relentless pursuit for improvement. It has single points of accountability for Work Management & Resource Planning, Execution Support, Business Operations & Process Improvement, PG&E Academy, and Enterprise Public Works. Operations Support is comprised of approximately 1,000 coworkers.

Position Summary

Oversees groups that provide administrative and project support. Ensures support teams improve service levels for our external/internal client base. Works with Gas Operations leaders to understand their current and future support service’s needs. Ensures that Support Services related tools, processes and systems are continuously evolving and improving for maximum efficiency and effectiveness. Works with Support Services Supervisors to oversee the day-to-day operations and management of support staff.

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need.

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.  The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.  Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.​

A reasonable salary range is:​

Bay Area Minimum: $98,000

Bay Area Maximum: $146,000

Job Responsibilities

May do some or all of the following:

• Creates, promotes and manages a safety-first work environment and culture.
• Supervises the day-to-day operations of the workgroup in alignment with organizational goals and objectives

Who is Mike Lynch, the British tech entrepreneur missing after yacht sank?

Prominent U.K. tech tycoon Mike Lynch, once considered the "British Bill Gates," is missing after the sinking of a superyacht off the coast of Italy on Monday.

The news comes just months after the entrepreneur was acquitted on fraud charges by a San Francisco jury, ending more than a decade of legal battles stemming from the sale of his company to Hewlett-Packard in 2011.

Lynch, 59, earned a PhD from Cambridge before co-founding software firm Autonomy in 1996. Under his direction as chief executive, the company grew to become the largest tech firm in the U.K., and he became one of Britain's wealthiest men when he sold it for more than $11 billion to HP.

But shortly after the sale, Lynch was fired from his CEO position at Autonomy, and HP wrote down the company by $8.8 billion within a year, accusing Lynch of cooking the books to inflate its value.

The U.S. and U.K. both launched investigations into the allegations, and the U.S. formally requested Lynch's extradition to the U.S. in 2019 to face several charges including securities fraud, wire fraud and conspiracy.

According to The Sunday Times , Lynch, who is married and has two daughters, ages 18 and 21, was extradited from Britain in May of last year and spent 13 months on house arrest in San Francisco while he awaited trial. He was acquitted on all 15 charges in June.

"I am elated with today's verdict," Lynch said in a statement following his acquittal. "I am looking forward to returning to the U.K. and getting back to what I love most: my family and innovating in my field."

HP largely won a civil lawsuit against Lynch and another former Autonomy executive in London in 2022, though damages have not yet been decided. The company is seeking $4 billion. In a sit-down with The Times last month, Lynch said he plans to appeal that verdict.

On the news of Lynch going missing on Monday, the author of The Times piece, Danny Fortson, wrote on X, "I am reeling from this news about Mike Lynch. The terrible irony is that when we sat down last month, he made it clear that he felt he had won a new lease on life, that his acquittal in America gave him a ‘second life.’"

Five bodies were found on Wednesday aboard the sunken wreck of a yacht belonging to the wife of British tech magnate Mike Lynch, with one still missing.

The identities of the victims were not immediately given by the authorities.

Rescue crews brought four body bags ashore into port at Porticello. Salvatore Cocina, head of the Sicily civil protection agency, said a fifth body had been located. Divers at the scene said they would try to recover it on Thursday while continuing the search for the final missing person.

Rescue workers have been looking for six people who were unaccounted for after the sinking, including Lynch, his 18-year-old daughter, Hannah, and Jonathan Bloomer, a non-executive chair of Morgan Stanley International.

The British-flagged Bayesian, a 56-metre-long superyacht, was carrying 22 people, and was anchored off the Sicilian port of Porticello, near Palermo, when it capsized during a fierce storm on Monday.

Lynch, 59, was one of the U.K.'s best-known tech entrepreneurs and had invited friends to join him on the yacht to celebrate his recent acquittal in a U.S. fraud trial.

Specialist rescuers have been searching inside the hull of the sunken yacht for the past two days. The victims were believed to have been trapped in cabins, which have proved extremely hard to get to, with divers only able to stay in the vessel for eight to 10 minutes before having to re-surface.

Separately, the coast guard deployed a remotely operated vehicle that can operate up to 300 metres deep to scan the seabed and take underwater pictures and videos that it said may provide "useful and timely elements" for both the search and the investigation into the cause of the sinking.

Fifteen people survived, while the body of the onboard chef, Canadian Antiguan national Recaldo Thomas, was found near the wreck hours after the disaster. A report in Antiguan media said Thomas, 58, had lived in Antigua for about three decades after growing up in the Calgary area.

The coast guard has been questioning survivors, including the captain of the Bayesian, and passengers on the yacht that was moored next to it who witnessed the ship going down, judicial sources said.

No one is under investigation at the moment, sources said.

Lynch built the U.K.'s largest software firm, Autonomy, which was sold to HP in 2011, after which the deal spectacularly collapsed, with the U.S. tech giant accusing Lynch of fraud, resulting in a lengthy trial. Lynch was acquitted on all charges by a jury in San Francisco in June.

The other missing passengers were Bloomer's wife, Judy, lawyer Chris Morvillo and his wife, Neda. Morvillo, a high-powered New York defence attorney, represented Lynch in the San Francisco trial while Bloomer was a character witness on his behalf.

Experts have been at a loss to explain how a large luxury vessel, presumed to have top-class fittings and safety features, could have sunk within minutes, as recounted by witnesses. The yacht anchored next to it was unharmed by the tempest.

The Bayesian, which was owned by Lynch's wife, was built by Italian shipbuilder Perini in 2008 and last refitted in 2020. It had the world's tallest aluminum mast, measuring 72 metres, according to its makers.

The captain, James Cutfield, a 51-year-old New Zealander who survived the shipwreck, was a "very good sailor" and "very well respected" in the Mediterranean, his brother Mark told The New Zealand Herald.

Matthew Schanck, chair of the Maritime Search and Rescue Council, a U.K.-based non-profit organization that trains sea rescuers, said the Bayesian was the victim of a "high-impact" weather-related incident.

"If it was a waterspout , which it appears to be, it's what I would class as like a 'black swan' event," he told Reuters, referring to a rare and unpredictable phenomenon.

He said he was confident the authorities would "get to the bottom" of what caused the shipwreck, thanks to the accounts of survivors, witnesses and examination of the sunken hull, which did not show any apparent signs of damage.
