MV Viscount was built in 1908, with a capacity for 210 people, currently it is the oldest passenger boat still in service among the Dunkirk Ships, rebuilt in 1964 and refitted for events in 2019.

We aim to make the booking process plain sailing but if you have any questions, our friendly and professional crew will be happy to assist. Flexible payment options are also available upon request, such as an initial deposit and a bank transfer. Granted, covid-19 brought uncharted waters and we appreciate that you may have hesitations of booking in advance.  Fear not, there's no Pirates on board our ships! Each vessel used is fully equipped, built and maintained to a high safety standard and is ideal for an entertaining night out. All the boats used have fully enclosed decks with many have outside areas too. The majority of vessels have 2 decks, the Lower Saloon allows you to relax with a drink, enjoy the supper buffet and have a chat, while on the Upper Deck you will find your fellow party seekers dancing the night away to the sounds of a top Thames DJ! After you've danced 'til you've dropped there is no better remedy than to go out onto the open deck and view the breath-taking illuminated sights of the London Riviera!

Party Nights Afloat

Wed 11th september, rock the boat with party nights afloat.

Step aboard and set sail with us for a night out with a difference. Choose your theme, choose your date, and sail back in time with us through your favourite eras in music, with the spectacular backdrop of the River Dee.

The key info…

When?  Party Nights Afloat cruises sail at 7.30pm sharp and return at 10.30pm. Boarding begins at 7.15pm. Scroll down to see the full list of dates.

What’s included?  Your ticket includes a hot buffet supper, a disco with professional DJ, and a glass of house wine on arrival.

Where?  All of our cruises sail from The Groves, Souters Lane, Chester, CH1 1SZ, right next to Hickory’s Smokehouse. We return to the same place.

How much?  Tickets are £36.50 per person when booking and paying in full online .

Can I pay a deposit? If you’d like to split the cost into a deposit and balance, the total ticket price is £38.50 and this needs to be paid in full 4 weeks before the cruise. You can’t do this online, so you’ll need to give us a call during office opening hours.

A few more important things…

• • Tickets are not refundable once booked unless the event is cancelled by us.
• • Party Nights Afloat are not suitable for under 18s, and we cannot accept stag group bookings. Fancy dress is very welcome onboard, but please note that we do not allow feather boas, confetti, or loose glitter.
• • In the rare event that the boat is unable to sail due to weather or river conditions, the party will still take place on a stationary boat.
• • We want everyone to have a safe and fun night. We reserve the right to refuse entry to ticketholders who are intoxicated or return early if we need to ask a passenger to leave.
• • If you are making several separate bookings for one group, please choose one group name (eg. “Sarah’s Hen Party”) and enter this on the booking form, so we can make sure you’re all seated together.
• • Please note that as this is an enclosed indoor space, we cannot allow smoking/vaping all the time. We usually allow a couple of smoking/vaping breaks through the evening in a designated space onboard but occasionally this is not possible. Please consider before booking whether you would be happy with this arrangement.
• • Our house DJs stick broadly to the theme but will sometimes play tunes from other eras to get everyone up and dancing.
• • We need to know at least 7 days in advance about any dietary requirements, including vegetarians. If you don’t know all of them when you complete the booking online, please get in touch nearer the time to confirm your needs.

Basic boat hire will last around 3-5 hours , however, longer options are available and should be discussed with the venue manager during the booking process. Most boats operate somewhere between 10.00-00.00  every day so you can expect to schedule your party during these hours.

Is food included in a party hire on a boat?

Most boat venues offer in-house catering with accommodation for different specialty requirements. However, unless you have booked a per person package which includes food and drinks, you will need to pay separately for catering and beverages. And if you’re picking a BYO option , keep an eye out for extra fees! 

Am I allowed to bring my own alcohol on the boat?

You should ask the owner whether you can BYOB. Some venues allow it, and for others you will have to purchase it on the boat or will not be allowed to drink at all. Keep in mind that some London boats might charge corkage fees in the case of providing your own alcohol while others, like Barge Fiodra , don’t.

About yacht & boat hire.

Get on board, grab some beers and sail off into the deep waters with your best friends. Nothing sorts out a hangover like chilling out doing nothing apart from dipping your feet into the sea (or river.) Plus, if you're feeling brave you can even dive in and wash off last night’s beer sweats! Just make sure you’re in a state to swim back to the boat because there’s no way anyone can justify being rescued by their mates because they were too hungover to swim properly.

What to expect.

Because we offer this activity in so many different locations both in the U.K. and in Europe the details and sights of each boat trip will obviously vary. However there’s a boat cruise to suit every stag group and every taste. We have our chilled out booze cruises in the U.K. which put emphasis on enjoying a few beers via the on board cash bar and having a bit of a steady boogie with your mates. Or we have our European boat cruises which tend to take place in warmer climates and normally take place on the open sea.

We’ve got catamaran cruises in Europe where you can lie back, relax and catch the sun (it’s all about topping up that tan!) We’ve got river cruises that supply you with a cash bar and the city sights, so you can soak up some culture on your stag do. So whatever type of cruise you choose, we’re sure we have something that fits your budget and will impress the stag and the lads to no end!*
