Sonne, Wind und ein Törn mit bleibenden Erinnerungen Vom 26.08. - 02.09.2024 durften ich mit zwei "Plattbodenschiff-Verliebten" Segelfreunden auf der Lemsteraak "Dorothée" einen wunderbaren Törn auf den Friesengewässern geniessen. Ein paar Schläge durch die Waddenzee zu den Waddenhaven Terschelling und Oudeschild Texel, anlegen im Tidenhafen Harlingen und dann kreuz und quer über das IJsselmeer. Das alles durften wir bei idealen Winden von 3 bis 5 Bf erleben und dazu unter der holländischen Sonne bräunen. Nur schade, dass wir unser primäres Ziel,... 4,5 Peter

Mooie boot, goede zeileigenschappen We hebben een week lekker gezeild, het IJsselmeer met windkracht 4/5 is prima te doen met 2 of 3 mensen. De boegschroef is erg handig met dit redelijk zware schip. 5,0 Jaap en Peter

Kurzwoche mit der Zonnewind Moin. Wir, eine fuenfkoepfige Familie, haben zum ersten mal eine Aak gemietet. Damit haben wir ab Workum bei bestem Wetter Kanaele erkundet und sind zwei Tage auf dem Ijsselmeer gesegelt. Ein Erlebnis fuer uns alle, in schöner Umgebung mit einem tollen Schiff. Die Übernahme des Schiffs, als auch die Abgabe am letzten Tag an den Vermieter verliefen reibungslos und sehr freundlich. Vom Schiff selber sind wir begeistert und das Handling hatten wir nach kurzer Zeit heraus. Wir können dieses Erlebnis... 5,0 J.B.

Henriette Selinde Wir hatten eine wunderbare Segelwoche auf dem Wattenmeer und dem Ijsselmeer, auch mit 10 Personen an Bord war es nicht zu eng und alle waren begeistert von dem schönen Schiff und dem spannenden Segelrevier. Der Service von Michael war hervorragend, bei Fragen oder kleineren technischen Problemen war er für uns immer erreichbar und hat sofort und unkompliziert Hilfestellung geleistet. Das hat auch zu der entspannten Atmosphäre während des Törns beigetragen, vielen Dank nochmal dafür ! 4,5 Mirko

Sie können auch eine Schaluppe in den idyllischen Dörfern Heeg, Akkrum und Terherne mieten. Our family business contains a yacht wharf, yacht rental company, yacht marina and a water sports shop. We have built up a very varied fleet over the years, meaning there is a suitable boat for every type of water sports enthusiasts. This fleet includes; sturdy compact cabin motorboats ( Doerakken , Brûzers ), modern cruisers , boats with spacious open cabin , royal class cutter yachts , luxurious Super Lauwersmeers and spacious 2+2 yachts .

Terherne is a fantastic boat departure point as a result of its central location in the Friesian waters, on the Sneekermeer and near Sneek.

You will not need a boating licence for our boats. It goes without saying everyone going out on our boats will be given a full technical explanation before departure.

For someone who is new to watersporting, the Doerak is an ideal motorboat for cruising in Friesland. But the Doerak is also a suitable motorboat for more experienced skippers. The boat is compact, but thanks to its form it is spacious inside. Each Doerak has a bow thruster, which means they are very easy to manoeuvre!

The Brûzer is a robust motorboat with classic lines, which is easy to sail. With its unique form the boat offers a lot of space inside, while remaining compact. This means that this motorboat offers the possibility of many cruising routes and you can discover all of Friesland's waterways!

When we talk about a 2+2 motoryacht we mean, two completely equal cabins. Namely, two bathrooms (with toilet and shower) and two spacious bedrooms, each with a generous double bed. These luxury yachts are particularly suitable for two couples.

The luxury motorboats are for those who want to enjoy cruising, but want to do so with every convenience you can get into a boat. For example, central heating, double glazing, bow and stern thrusters, generous beds and bathrooms, and of course an attractive design!

Where can I cruise to with my motorboat?

Cruising on a motorboat is naturally not as fast as driving a car. This can sometimes make it difficult to judge distances. From our marina in Terherne via the Sneekermeer to Sneek takes approximately 1 hour. The cruising area that is permitted with our ships is: Friesland (Sailing is only permitted on the IJsselmeer for ships longer than 12 metres and equipped with an IJsselmeer package), Overijssel, Groningen and Drenthe.

For: Closed bedroom with a double bed, kitchen with stainless steel sink, cupboard space with pots and pans etc., 4-burner gas hob, seating area that can be made into a double bed. Midships: Spacious round seating area, side and rear entrance. Rear-cabin: Closed bedroom with double bed, handshower, washbasin and toilet. Sun-deck with boarding ladder and platform.

Mata Mua is great for families thanks to her child-friendly setup. Built in 1993, She offers guest accommodation for up to 9 guests with a layout comprising a master suite, one VIP cabin, one double cabin and one twin cabin. There are 6 beds in total, including 3 queen, 2 singles and 1 pullman. She is also capable of carrying up to 6 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht charter experience.

Performance & Range

Mata Mua is built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure. Mata Mua comfortably cruises at 10 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 12 knots.

When not cruising Mata Mua has onboard an incredible selection of water toys and accessories for you and your guests to connect with the waters around you. Principle among these is a waterski that are hugely entertaining whether you are a beginner or a seasoned pro. Additionally, there is a wakeboard so guests can show off at speed. Mooring for free in the middle of nature is possible in Friesland thanks to the Marrekrite. The Marrekrite is a concept, domestically as well as abroad. Through the use of the Marrekrite (a joint venture between the province and 21 municipalities, which establishes and maintains free moorings in rural areas along the Frisian lakes and waterways), provincial and municipal authorities in Friesland want to enable you, as a water sports enthusiast/tourist, to sojourn in our beautiful nature.

Since 1957, more than 300 landing facilities have been erected in the Frisian lakes region, with a total capacity for approximately 3500 boats. Garbage containers have been stationed at various locations to keep the terrains and areas clean.

Marrekrite moorages are unique and high in demand. In order to provide as many interested parties as possible with the opportunity to use the Marrekrite moorages, a maximum of three mooring days has been imposed. As a yacht rental agency, we also support the Marrekrite. This is why you will see a small flag of the Marrekrite on the masts of our ship

Sailing in friesland.

Friesland is a beautiful region with an exciting history. After forming a single state for the Frisian people, the 3rd century is when the first documentation of Friesland and its inhabitants came to be. Named after the people for whom it was created, Friesland today extends through Germany onto the Netherlands , from the Weser River, the Jadebusen Bay over East Friesland, Emsland and the Rhine-Maas Delta to the Belgian city Bruges. In the 7th and 8th centuries, this same area was called the “Great Frisian Kingdom” (Magna Frisia). After the Francs invaded the region, the Frisians were quickly known as brave fighters and warriors as well as skilled boat builders and zealous seafarers, the latter skill leading them to gain the so-called “Frisian Freedom” (Fryske frijheid), which the coastal inhabitants achieved through their victories in battles with the Romans, Vikings and Normans between the 9th and 15th centuries. Because of the subordination under the Emperor and the lack of a feudal system in the area, the “Seven Sea Countries” of Friesland enjoyed great independence and self-confidence. Only at the end of this privileged time did the area divide into many small tribes of constantly fighting groups led by very powerful and self-assured “chiefs” (hovedlinge). Nevertheless, Frisians are to this day connected with the consciousness of a stand-alone and culturally authentic nation with old traditions and a language of its own. As one of the four officially recognized national minorities in Germany, the Frisians enjoy representation and protection of their interests through the Friesenrat in the Schleswig-Holstein Federal State Parliament. Besides the customs meetings such as the “Friesen-Droapen” (Frisian Meeting) on Helgoland, individual professional groups and the “Fryske Akademy” (Frisian Academy) in Leeuwarden also take care of Friesland’s interests. A radical state independence, like from the “Groep fan Auwerk” (Group from Aurich), was proclaimed in 2003, but these days, the majority of Frisians aren’t aiming for that.

The island Sylt is the setting of the annual German Windsurf Cup on Brandenburg Beach by Westerland, and the additional surf and sail spots on the Blidselbucht Stronghold between Kampen and List, as well as by Rankum, enjoy international renown from wave riders. On the island Norderney, a spot at Januskopf is another great place to surf, though it is very demanding and causes even old birds of surfing to be taken by surprise by the speed of the waves. In St. Peter-Ording, a lane of water is specially designated for wind- and kitesurfers to use. In East Friesland, surfers of all levels make a pilgrimage to the Ems estuary of the Dollart and to the local Ort Knock after going to Echwarderhörne on the Butjadingen peninsula, on the Große Meer (Great Sea) between Aurich, Emden and Norddeich. They also visit the North Sea resort in Horumersiel-Schillig in Wangerland, in the district Upleward von Krummhörn, on the East Frisian islands, and Hooksiel north of Wilhemshaven. In that area, the spots at Banter See, Geniusbank and Suedstrand are also worth visiting. In Dutch Friesland, the Ijsselmeer  and its surfs spots on the western bank in Gaast, Hindeloopen, Lauwersoog, Makkum, at the Mirns Cliff, Molkwerum in Starvoren and Workum, and on the coasts of both the Ameland and Terschelling islands are very popularly visited and well liked.

The Frisian coast is also filled with professional, hobby, and leisure-time captains through October. If you can’t make it to the larger competitions in the area, or simply don’t want to take part in them, there are other sailing options in the area. The 25-hectare Timmeler Lake near Großfehn, the 73-kilometer long Ems-Jade-Kanal between Wilhelmshaven and Emden, the 60-hectare large Hooksmeer by Hooksiel, and the Leda-Jümme and the surrounding area of the town Detern in Leer are also all lovely sailing areas. If you’d rather go out onto the water via paddling instead of sailing, the environment around Marienhafe in the environs of Brookmerland in Aurich is highly recommended. In the vacation region Störtebekerland (named after a pirate) in the heart of East Friesland, you can enjoy a lovely tideland around Großheide and the climatic health resort Hage along with the widely distributed interwoven network of waterways from the canoe loading areas to the Upgant-Schott and Wirdum marinas before discovering the area in peace.
