The 108-foot (32.91m) Predator Casino Royale was built by Sunseeker in 2004 and featured in the James Bond movie by the same name.

The spacious salon features roof windows with an impressive 9ft head room, which creates an airy feel in the salon and dining section. This feature allows guests to enjoy formal dining underneath the stars due to her retractable roof. Casino Royale boasts a plush accommodation and colossal entertainment spaces, all complemented above deck by a huge range of integral leisure options. In 2016, Casino Royale underwent a two-phase extensive refit that lasted for six months and cost approximately 1.5 million euro. The first phase was finished in Malta by April 2016. In the second phase, more than 450 items were listed and replaced, rectified or upgraded in final reports. The second phase began in Autumn 2016 in STP Shipyard in Mallorca and lasted almost three months under a supervision of Palmawatch.

Accommodation

Motor yacht Casino Royale can accommodate eight guests in four staterooms; all located on the lower deck. Access to the lower deck can be reached by heading down the stairs which leads you straight into a study/lounge area — part of the master suite. The master has a double bed, as does the VIP; followed by two twin staterooms. The master stateroom embodies timeless elegance; it is outfitted with the finest leather, marble and fabrics combined with perfect lightning creating comfortable and refined space. The bathroom aft features a full-size tub and shower and on the opposite side there is a walk-in closet. Forward are the two twin staterooms and the VIP is located in the bow. All guest staterooms are equipped with en-suite marble bathrooms and Hypnos Mattresses.

Spirit Yachts’ brand partnership with EON Productions, Metro Goldwyn Mayer Studios (MGM), and Universal Pictures International on the James Bond films began when a Spirit 54 was chosen to feature in the 2006 film Casino Royale .

This year, Spirit Yachts returns to the big screen alongside 007 in the 25th Bond film, No Time To Die .

Casino Royale :

The scene portraying Daniel Craig and Eva Green cruising into Venice onboard a Spirit 54 is now world famous. Having been handcrafted by Spirit Yachts’ skilled team of boat-builders in Suffolk, the yacht (a 54 foot design named Spirit) was shipped to the Bahamas. From there, Spirit Yachts sailed her to Puerto Rico and through the British Virgin Islands for filming. After shooting scenes in the Caribbean, the yacht was shipped to Croatia and sailed on to Venice. During filming in Venice, the yacht’s rig was taken in and out a total of 10 times to fit under multiple canal bridges. She was the first sailing yacht to go up the Grand Canal in 300 years.

A Spirit 46 features in the James Bond film No Time To Die . Bond has left active service and is enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica, where a Spirit 46 sailing yacht is featured.

Regina yacht, from James Bond’s Skyfall, for sale at $14.2M

Following the plethora of gadgets and items which were released to celebrate the newest James Bond movie, Skyfall, the wonderful Regina yacht, from Med Yachts, which sailed in the newest movie with 007 is now up for grabs.

A vessel on which the charm and elegance of the James Bond character used to unveil within the movie, it measures 183 feet from tip to toe and comes with the ability to accommodate as many as 12 guests. The cabins of the yacht haven’t been featured in the movie, but were used as backstage areas and dressing rooms for the cast crew and actors.

One of the bathrooms was used for the shoot, visible in the trailer, with the love scene under the shower, while the salon was turned into the bedroom of Bérénice Marlohe. The crew has had the curtains replaced with a different color, while the sofa in the main salon was re-covered.

They have also brought in additional stuff like mirrors, bar accessories and stools for the cast, to differentiate it from the original. Outside, the yacht had also been transformed to fit in the fabled movie, as, among many other changes, the sunbeds were turned red.

The yacht is now available for purchase, at its initial state, being listed at $14.2 million. In case you don’t want to spend that much money on an experience to relate you to James Bond and the Skyfall, it is available for charter at $120,000 per week.

Spirit 54′ Soufrière Yacht Is Looking For Her Real-Life James Bond

The 16.4 meter sailing yacht Spirit 54′ Soufrière, that starred in Daniel Craig’s first James Bond movie Casino Royale, is offered for sale through Spirit Yacht’s brokerage department for £600,000 ($864,000)

Slated to be on display at the London On-Water Show from 4 to 7 May 2016 at St Katharine Docks, London, the Spirit 54′ Soufrière was designed specifically for Casino Royale movie following the production company’s search for a classically elegant, unique, British built yacht. Now any James Bond enthusiast can own the handmade 16.7 m wooden boat built by Spirit Yachts for approximately $864,000.

After her debut on silver screen and ten subsequent years of cruising and competitive racing, Spirit 54′ Soufrière has completed a refit and is ready to find her real-life James Bond. Made with mahogany and teak, she received a fresh coat of paint on her ice-blue-coloured hull and all external varnish was stripped and lacquered where necessary. Interior woodwork has been re-varnished, while all equipment, the engine and the rigging have been checked and serviced.

The elegant design of Spirit 54′ Soufrière yacht makes her an ideal vessel for those in pursuit of a classy performance cruising yacht with British elegance. The James Bond-style yacht can accommodate up to six guests in two en suite double cabins and is powered by a single 54hp Yanmar diesel engine. Sporting a powerful rig and an impressive displacement of just over eight tonnes, not only Soufrière boasts an extraordinary power to weight ratio and excels on longer passages when racing but boasts the amazing capacity required for cruising.

On Film At the start of the film, Bond sails the yacht in the clear waters around his Jamaica home, before mooring at a jetty in his private bay and making his way ashore with his speargun and two freshly caught red snapper fish.

The Vehicle The Spirit 46 is built by Spirit Yachts, a British company founded in 1993 by Sean McMillan and Mick Newman, which offers a handcrafted, wooden alternative to mainstream production yachts. Each yacht is unique and made in the company’s base in Suffolk on the east coast of England. The Spirit 46 is a versatile combination of practicality and style, ideal for lightweight performance racing or casual coastal cruising. With a displacement of only 4.5tonnes, she is lightweight and easy to handle solo. The yacht has long overhangs, flush decks and an overall length of 46-feet, with berths for four. A Yanmar diesel engine gives a top planing speed of 18 knots.

The Production After the Spirit 54 yacht was chosen for Vesper and Bond in Casino Royale, the production returned to the company for No Time To Die. Built for action, the 46-foot Spirit 46 was selected as the ideal boat for Bond: built for action, for sailing around the bay for a swim, or to travel the world at a moment’s notice. The yacht used for filming was The Happenstance and its first scenes shot on 29 April 2019 in the waters off Banana Wharf near Port Antonio, Jamaica. Further shots were captured on 2 and 8 May.

If it’s good enough for James Bond, then it must be top notch! It’s no wonder that Sunseeker ’s luxury motoryachts featured in four consecutive James Bond films . Sunseeker International is Britain’s biggest luxury yachtmaker, located in the English seaside town of Poole, on Britain’s South Coast. They have come a long way since their famous open sporty high-performance yachts, now building yachts that range from 51’7″ / 15.74m to 155′ / 47.24m. Sunseeker’s acclaimed design and production professionals have earned two International Superyacht Design awards, the Queen’s Award for Export Achievement and the latest, in 2016, the Champion of British Luxury Manufacturing award.

In 1969, at a time where there were no significant builders of boats for sports and leisure in the United Kingdom, Robert Braithwaite (later to be named Ernst & Young’s UK Entrepreneur of the Year in 2002) grabbed the opportunity to acquire Owens Cruisers’ boat molds and thus, began his journey as a boat builder. The first craft to launch was the Sovereign 17 followed by the Sovereign 20 in 1971.

A major turn-point came about when the Formula One driver, Henry Taylor,required a full-width sunbed accommodated to his boat; hence, the design and launching of the sports cruiser Sports 23 and Daycab23. Sunseeker’s first true performance model was the Offshore 28, gaining sales in the Mediterranean market. By the mid-eighties, their focus shifted from overnight accommodation boats to larger cockpits, two cabin high-performance boats: the Portofino31 and the Tomahawk 37.

In the early 90’s, Sunseeker’s first production boat with twin jet drives was launched, the Renegade 60, followed by the Predator 80. The millennium saw the launch of the 105 yacht, made with advanced composite materials and winning two of the world’s most prestigious accolades in the International Superyacht Design awards. In 2015, the delivery of Sunseeker’s 100th luxury performance motoryacht in the 100ft+ category was accomplished with Sunseeker’s flagship 155Yacht.

007 heaven! Skyfall yacht – Regina – for sale

The 56-metre superyacht certainly stole the scenes when it appeared in the 2012 James Bond film, Skyfall, where the beautiful sailing yacht shared screen time with Daniel Craig and French actress Bérénice Marlohe.

The schooner, which is currently in the Caribbean, was built in 2011 and was refitted last year.

Space, grandeur and elegance form the cornerstones of the yacht’s interior design, which is reflected in the materials used, which include mahogany, marble and onyx.

Up to 12 people can be accommodated on board in a total of six cabins.

The master cabin even presides over its own lounge and a private dressing closet.

Various indoor and outdoor areas provide ample space for relaxation and sunbathing. Satellite television, a high-end music system and a jet ski are just some of the amenities the yacht offers.

Built by Med Yachts, Regina has been designed as a high performance ocean-going vessel.

It has a wide beam of 9.5 metres, providing wide deck spaces and great areas for relaxing both inside and out; there are separate deck areas for sunbathing, alfresco dining both to the aft and forward.

The interior of Regina has been designed by Aylin Örs, and includes a large dining and sitting saloon with a classic mahogany finish.

Each of the six classically designed en-suite cabins feature details such as bedheads of solid honey mousse onyx columns, walls of Afyon Marble and solid onyx sinks and flooring.

The Master stateroom is full beam with a lounge area and walk-in dressing room.

The second stateroom is to the fore of the yacht.

Between the staterooms there are a further four cabins, two large en suite doubles, one smaller double and a twin cabin with two single beds.

There is air conditioning throughout Regina, with a fresh air ventilation system installed in all enclosed spaces.

Regina is powered by Doyle Sails providing a total sail area of 1,140m2 and has twin 440hp MAN engines.

The yacht has a steel hull built with both lateral and longitudinal frames to ensure stability in all types of sea conditions.

James Bond Boat: 1978 Glastron Carlson CV23-HT

I’ve been known to refer to certain cars as boats; you know the kind, usually domestic, full-size bloated bombs on wheels. It’s a commonly used metaphor but not always used disparagingly. Well here’s a boat, I mean a real boat in the form of a Glastron. And this one has some distant celebrity relationship as it is claimed to be the same model as used in the 1979 James Bond film “Moonraker” . Let’s take a look and check out this 1978 Glastron Carlson CV23-HT which is located in San Antonio, Texas, and is available, here on eBay for a current bid of  $13,301, reserve not yet met.

Straight up, I know nothing about the movie Moonraker; I dropped James Bond like a hot potato after Sir Roger Moore made one or two attempts at emulating Ian Fleming’s indestructible spy, James Bond. I’m a bit more familiar with Glastron, a fiberglass boat builder that has been in existence since 1956 and known for its unique SSV hull design. And Glastron takes credit for product placement in the 1973 film adaptation of “Live and Let Die” , Moore’s first 007 appearance, but there is no reference to their involvement in Moonraker. What is important to keep in mind though, is that this specific Glastron did not appear in the Bond film. It is one of 300 of the model used in the movie and is considered rarely seen today. The real deal, Moonraker II , the actual boat from the supporting role, was up for auction back in 2011 and it was cast in a Silver Metaflake fiberglass mix, not Bronze Flake like our subject.

So what’s the big deal? Nothing really except that this 42-year-old Glastron is in very nice shape, but that’s not so unusual for a boat that has ostensibly seen little use and is stored properly. Admittedly, this example’s design has held up over time, it still cuts an impressive swath though the Bronze Metaflake is dated looking. It’s a closed bow design with a small cutty cabin that will supposedly sleep two. I have tried that before on a boat of this size; sleeping is a bit of a challenge. The seller states that this boat has been kept indoors and that is believable, there is no sign of fade which will affect fiberglass boats the same way it affects a painted auto body.  The tan/brown vinyl upholstery still looks like new, more evidence of proper storage. The sun, reflecting off of the water’s surface, will flay boat upholstery in short order if it is not protected. The use of this boat’s bimini top, in concert with the fixed cabin roof, while out on the water, has certainly helped to preserve its originality.

This Glastron is an inboard/outboard design powered by a 260 HP, Mercruiser 350 CI, V8 engine. It’s actually a Chevrolet small-block as so many Mercruiser engines are. The seller claims that this Glastron “runs nicely” and the power trim works great. It would be helpful to know how many hours are on this original Mercruiser engine. They are persnickety powerplants as more seems to go wrong from non-use than it does from actual operation.

Is this good value for a 42-year-old Glastron? I’d recommend some research, it seems the value plays are with older boats constructed from wood. An that’s taking nothing away from this Glastron, they built, and continue to build, a fine marine product. Celebrity value? None that comes to mind, the James Bond association is a stretch. Marine technology, like auto technology, has advanced considerably in 40+ years; if you are boat shopping, you may want to cast a wider net, don’t you think?

I don’t know anything about boats; this is a sharp looking one though. The only reference I have with respect to boats is this quote: ” “The two happiest days for a boat owner is when he buys it, and when he sells it” or something to that effect, LOL!! GLWTA!! :-)

This one certainly does appear to be well cared-for but I’m very confident that the transom has started turning to plywood dust, if not mush, even though this one must have spent most of its life on a trailer. The transom and stringers are generally places where “original” is not a plus. Still, a nice find.

I was just going to say the same, I’ve seen 10 year old boats with bad transoms, if used on a fresh water lake. I’m told salt water protects it a bit better than fresh water. My job is a boat mechanic, and we have a 1999, 33′ Formula with a bad transom right now. It’s about an 8-10,000 thousand dollar job on the formula, and it was pretty well taken care of.

Unfortunately Scimitar super rare here in Europe and EU does not allow old boats being privately imported. Unless the same model has EU approval – and as far as I know Scimitar is too old to have that

Glastron/Carlson did build some darned nice boats my favorite is is still the GT150 with a 140 hp V4 on it. The 150 seemed to always have transom problems and this hurt Glastrons sales over their entire line. I was and have always been a fan of their designs and this would be a nice mellow cruiser that little 350 propped right may get you 40 mph and it’s going to have a thirst! Nice looking well cared for older boat!

I could get my 1988 Glastron CVX-23 up to 55 mph on smooth water fully trimmed out with just my wife and I in it with less than a 1/4 tank of gas in the 75 gallon tank. It had the Alpha 1 Mercruiser 260 HP 350 Chevy and I ran a Stainless Steel Laser 3 blade prop. That Carlson hull would fly!

Ship, that ain’t no boat!!! My buddy has a boat, I mean a REAL cigarette! He said he could get me on the water at 90 M.P.H. and hit the Farallons out of the Golden Gate Bridge in minutes, if not seconds.

The sharks could NEVER keep up.

It pumps out 450 H.P. out of TWO V-10 Engines a 500 gallon gas tank, twin screws and CUSTOM purple, orange and white flames! It also sits on a THREE axel trailer with custom purple paint.

Bring a neck brace when you board cuz you’ll need it to prevent whiplash when the hammer throttle goes forward!!! Get the picture???

My first boat in the early 80’s was a Glastron GT-150 and after a lot of great times in it before I bought a brand new Glastron CVX-23 in July of 1988. It was the prettiest and nicest handling boat made in that era, and even today in my opinion. Ours didn’t have the hardtop like this one, which is very rare. It would do 55 MPH with me and my wife in it, fully trimmed out with less that a 1/4 tank of gas in its 75 gallon tank. It was so stable and handled so well I could be at full speed and turn it as hard as I wanted to, and it would never skip or chine walk. My wife and I slept in it many times and it was very comfortable with plenty of room for a Porta Potti, that easily fit right in the cuddy cabin along with my skis and kneeboard. We would take it to our local lakes, but where it was really fun was taking it up and down the Missouri River system in South Dakota. It was in perfect condition and was always stored in my heated garage, I wish I had never sold it!

At the age of 23, I ordered a new 1972 Glastron 18′ with a 350 GM and Jet propulsion. What a stable and fast boat, and the sound of those dual exhausts echoed across the lake. By 1979 I graduated to a new CVX20 with a 460 Ford and Jet Propulsion. That boat would just skip across the water and having a jetivator, it could throw a 100′ rooster tail. We all enjoyed it because the rooster tail could reach the skiers with a 100′ rope. Now in my older years I’ve settled for a 20′ Hurricane Deck Boat. But I can still pull 2 skiers.

MrK that’s a pretty BIG step to a deck boat from a CVX20! The CVX was a beautiful boat. When I was growing up on the water the Glastrons and Checkmates were the HOT boats, my neighbor has a Checkmate with a 455 pontiac engine and a jet drive and at that time I was in HS running a 12 ft GW Invader with a 75 HP short shaft Merc I did a lot of prop research and experimental work on different pitches vs RPM and ended running a bronze 25″ wheel. With this setup I could run faster than the Checkmate but if I had another person in my boat, I got smoked! It was very fun both boats would run over 70 MPH. Simpler days it seems, for heaven’s sake I own a pontoon but also a 23ft Donzi with a supercharged bored 502! It helps my sanity stay in place MrK

John Staluppi's Top 7 James Bond yachts

While some serial superyacht owners like to keep the same name for each of their yachts, other stick to a theme and there is no better example of this then John Staluppi's series of yachts named after James Bond films. As the first images of his newest in-build yacht Spectre are released , we look back at this prolific owner's yachting history.

Now renamed Wanderlust , For Your Eyes Only was John Staluppi’s first superyacht. Built in 1985, the 36 metre Denison was custom-built to satisfy Staluppi’s desire to have something different to the big yachts he had seen while cruising in his earlier smaller fishing vessels.

“I wanted to build the first boat over 100 feet (30.5 metres) that would go over 30 knots,” Staluppi said in an interview with Boat International . “The Bond movie-inspired name came because the concept seemed to match the crazy gadgets, planes, boats and high-speed cars, of the films.”

However, 30 knots simply wasn’t enough and in 1988 Heesen launched Octopussy – a 43.68 metre yacht capable of 53 knots which is also available for charter . Telling the story of the deal he made with Frans Heesen when requesting what was then the fastest yacht in the world , he explains, “The boat has to do over 50 knots. If it does under 50 knots I don't have to take the boat. If the boat does 51 knots or more, for every knot over 51 knots we would pay a $200,000 bonus.”

Unfortunately Staluppi soon caught wind that His Highness the Aga Khan was planning to build a yacht capable of 65 knots and that would not do. So in 1992 the 36 metre Mulder-designed , Norship-built Moonraker was launched with a top speed of 61 knots (luckily HH the Aga Khan’s only ever achieved 57 knots). Moonraker was also the first of Staluppi’s yachts built for a more commercial purpose and immediately became part of his Millenium Super Yachts fleet when the company launched in 1998.

Casino Royale

The 49 metre Christensen superyacht Casino Royale was launched in 2008 and signified a move away from speed and towards luxury for Staluppi. Featuring interior design by Carol Williamson , the yacht offers accommodation for 12 guests across five cabins and a full beam master suite. She was sold less than a year after her launch but still retains the Bond-themed name.

Skyfall (2010)

Launched in 2010 by Trinity Yachts , John Staluppi’s 57.91 metre motor yacht Skyfall is currently listed for sale . This popular charter yacht features exterior design by Geoff Van Aller and interior design by Patrick Knowles . Accommodation for 14 guests is across two full beam VIP suites, three double rooms and one twin room with a large owner’s cabin. She also boasts a Jacuzzi, wine cellar and convertible gym.

Diamonds Are Forever

At 61 metres in length, Diamonds Are Forever represented a huge increase in size for Staluppi. The Benetti yacht was launched in 2011 to much media interest and was created specifically for the luxury yacht charter market. “We're intending to charter that boat three to four months a year,” Staluppi said at the time of its launch. “My ultimate goal, depending on the way the economy goes, is to have two or three of these boats for charter.”
