Interior Design & Engineering

McMullen & Wing built the 45-metre vessel to meet specific goals outlined by the BIG FISH yacht owner, who wanted something that could spend long periods away from the crowds while having plenty of wide open spaces and a strong connection to the sea.

The result is a go-anywhere explorer yacht that will take you on an adventurous charter in absolute luxury. This luxury superyacht boasts a 10,000 nautical mile range and carries a substantial tender for further remote exploration.

Designed inside and out by Gregory Marshall, the BIG FISH yacht has plenty of space to take in your awe-inspiring surroundings, like the main salon with its floor-to-ceiling windows.

Up to 10 guests can be accommodated during your BIG FISH yacht charter. The owner’s bridge deck suite presents uninterrupted views through the giant side and aft racing windows, with sliding glass doors leading to a private terrace. The rest of the party will sleep on the lower deck, which can be set up as two generous, full-beam suites or four half-beam cabins.

Yacht Facilities & Entertainment

With an award-winning chef on the crew, meal times will be unmissable. You could start your day with breakfast and juices on the sun deck, where you’ll get 360-degree views. After, unwind in the raised Jacuzzi before spreading yourself onto the sun pads to dry off and soak up the sunshine. Head amidship to the covered area to get a break in the shade and enjoy an alfresco lunch straight from the barbecue.

The open-plan main salon and its round dining table is perfect for more intimate, formal dinners, while the lounge area serves as an ideal gathering spot for aperitifs before you eat.

If you’re in search of the best views, head up to the crow's nest snug on top of the flybridge to find the highest vantage point on the BIG FISH yacht. Or, if you want to feel closer to the ocean, head back down to the main deck and open the fold-out balconies on either side. They’re ideally placed to dive straight into the sea.

A crew of 10 will make your BIG FISH yacht charter memorable by helping you make the most of each location.

They’ll also help you master the collection of water toys. This Kaleidescape system distributes audio and video signals throughout the entire yacht. It does this from central hard drives which are capable of storing 1200 films and thousands of music CD's. In addition satellite TV signals can be received and displayed world wide.

The philosophy behind the design and building of Big Fish centers on an idea that the best luxury expedition vessel must be able to achieve certain key requirements. These include safely, securely and comfortably transporting the yacht owners, guests and crew to any ocean, and being able to remain on station for extended periods of time in the process.

BIG FISH Specifications

Accordingly, this explorer superyacht can accommodate adequate stores of fuel, water, consumables, specialised cargo and supplies for any imaginable ocean adventure. In fact, if required, she can carry medicine, books or building supplies to remote villages, or scientific and oceanographic equipment or laboratory on a voyage of exploration.

Yacht Charter Accommodation

Charter accommodation consists of five double staterooms, all with ensuite facilities, meaning she can sleep a maximum of 10 guests overnight. She can also cruise during the day with 12 guests. The guest cabins on the Main deck can be converted into two VIP suites. Wall disappears and beds fold back against the wall, giving flexibility.

Superyacht Big Fish now for charter with Y.CO

Y.CO has taken over the central agency for charter of the 45m motor yacht Big Fish , delivered in 2010 by McMullen & Wing to a design by Gregory C. Marshall.

Big Fish was conceived as a long-range expedition yacht with every modern amenity. Her top deck sports a large spa pool, sun pads and and a permanent bimini top giving shade to 10 guests dining, with a bar and barbecue close at hand.

Accommodation is for 10 guests in five cabins including a master suite on the bridge deck. The interiors of Big Fish feature a light and neutral decor with full height windows and, uniquely, she has the world’s first decks in epoxied granite rather than teak.

The winner of several awards, including a Showboats Design Award for Best Naval Architecture last month, Big Fish is available in the Caribbean this winter and in the South Pacific next summer at rates starting from $245,000 per week.

Big Fish is also listed for sale on boatinternational.com asking €26.5 million.
