MY LEGACY Motor yacht for sale

Built at the renowned Italian Shipyard Codecasa, MY LEGACY is a 55.8m (183ft) yacht delivered in 2021. She has a steel hull and aluminium superstructure built to Lloyd’s classification with naval architecture by the shipyard. Her exteriors are by Codecasa and with a generous beam of 10.2m she offers 887GT of interior volume showcasing design by Tommaso Spadolini, with an elevator serving all guest decks.

She has a steel hull and aluminium superstructure built to Lloyd’s classification with naval architecture by the shipyard. Her exteriors are by Codecasa and with a generous beam of 10.2m she offers 887GT of interior volume showcasing design by Tommaso Spadolini, with an elevator serving all guest decks.

Considerable guest deck spaces include the sun deck with sunloungers aft, a lounge area, bar and an expansive sun deck pool. On a spacious bridge deck aft there is seating and a large convertible dining area for 10 to 12 guests. Sliding glass doors lead into a sky lounge with seating surrounding a coffee table and facing a movable TV on the port aft bulkhead. Walkaround decks lead to a private lounge forward of the bridge.

Lobby stairs lead down to the main deck foyer with access to the sidedeck and a dayhead. Aft is the formal dining space and there is an open-plan lounge aft of that with seating for ten. Sliding glass doors aft bring the outside in. On the main deck aft is a lounge area partially shaded by the upper deck overhang.

She welcomes 10 guests in five cabins. The owner's suite is forward on the main deck with a separate lounge. There is a full-beam his-and-hers bathroom forward and a walk-in wardrobe. On the port side, aft of the owner’s suite, is a VIP cabin that can be converted between double or twin berths. On the lower deck is a full-beam VIP cabin with a twin and double cabin aft.

As well as the main tender in the aft garage, there is a rescue tender forward beneath a flush deck hatch. Twin 2,375hp Caterpillar 3512E Tier III diesel engines give her a top speed of 18 knots, she cruises at 14 knots and has a maximum range of 5,000nm. Zero speed stabilisers ensure comfort at anchor on arrival.

The most expensive superyacht for sale is H3 . What began as a refit project escalated into a three-year rebuild that completely transformed the 95-metre Indian Empress. Twenty two years after her initial delivery, she was relaunched as the 105.3-metre H3, with virtually nothing left from her original design except the hull (which had also been extended a further 10 metres). This "rebirth" won her international acclaim and a World Superyacht Award . Her amenities are too numerous to mention but some standouts include a large pool with a waterfall feature, a huge spa and wellness area with a hairdresser and nail salon, a gymnasium and a climate-controlled winter garden in the owner's suite.

Builder : Lürssen Length : 91m Designers : Reymond Langton Design

Lady Lara joined the market in September 2023, marking the first time she had been available for sale since her delivery in 2015. She boasts a range of entertainment amenities, including two swimming pools – the largest of which can be transformed into a dancefloor – and a custom surround sound set-up. The second pool is found on the sundeck with a swim-up bar, with a large daybed and sunlounger also on this level. Accommodation is for a total of 16 guests across eight cabins and the master suite is positioned on a dedicated owner's deck. It includes a private exterior terrace accessible from the cabin, a library, his and hers bathrooms and dressing rooms.

Builder : Amels Length : 89m Designers : Tim Heywood , Azure Yacht Design and Naval Architecture , Winch Design

Here Comes the Sun was delivered in 2017 as the flagship of the Amels fleet, a title that she has held for the past six years. She was commissioned by a repeat client with a penchant for The Beatles and has an exterior and interior from the boards of design royalty: Tim Heywood and Andrew Winch . Her outdoor spaces are certain to impress, housing a two-metre-deep swimming pool with contraflow jets and a beach club and bar that leads into a wellness centre with its own sauna, massage room and beauty salon. A full rebuild in 2021 won her a Neptune at the World Superyacht Awards .

Builder : Oceanco Length : 90m Designers : Luiz De Basto , Azure Yacht Design and Naval Architecture , Nuvolari Lenard

DAR was delivered in 2018 and won Motor Yacht of the Year "by a good margin" at the World Superyacht Awards the following year. Standout features include an owner's deck – complete with private saloon and Jacuzzi – as well as a wellness area, with Hammam, sauna and massage and beauty room. The upper deck sports a fresh water pool with counter current and the yacht also has a gymnasium with floor-to-ceiling windows. A six-person elevator serves all guest decks, with an owner's party of up to 14.

Builder : Lürssen Length : 114.5m Designers : Tim Heywood , Terence Disdale

Pelorus was delivered in 2003 as the 11th largest superyacht in the world and easily the largest yacht to be built by Lürssen at the time. She was commissioned by a Saudi businessman who enjoyed a single cruise aboard his new vessel before a new buyer made an offer too good to refuse. Exterior designer Tim Heywood stocked the yacht with a top deck lido featuring two swimming pools, two helicopter pads and a vast sea-level platform that is revealed by opening the transom. The immense task of designing the interior was carried out by Terence Disdale, who opted to use natural materials wherever possible to maintain a "casual" atmosphere to offset the yacht’s imposing frame. Pelorus can welcome 18 guests with room for an additional 46 crew members.

Builder : Feadship Length : 83.5m Designers : Feadship De Voogt Naval Architects , Cristina Gherardi Design

Savannah 's boundary-pushing design landed her the Motor Yacht of the Year Award at the World Superyacht Awards in 2016. She was the first superyacht to receive a completely metallic paint job and was equipped with a first-of-its-kind hybrid power plant, making Savannah one of the first truly "eco-conscious" members of the international fleet – though she's more popularly known for her Nemo Lounge. Another first, the lounge is designed with a semi-submerged sheet of glazing that provides an incredible view beneath the waterline. The glass wall is also fitted with a drop-down screen for impromptu cinema nights.

With rotating seating areas, an interactive, 18-metre-high forest wall and 800 square metres of windows, Luminosity set a new standard for yacht design when she was delivered in 2022. Accommodation is across an impressive 11 cabins, not including the dedicated owner's deck with its own helicopter pad.  Meanwhile, her counter-flow swimming pool is the exterior centrepiece, kitted out with underwater speakers, an adjustable bottom and a custom chandelier inspired by a diamond. An accompanying four-degree plunge pool is decorated with on-theme visual cues such as mirror-backed acrylic "ice-cubes".

Builder : Lürssen Length : 74m Designers : Winch Design

Constructed to Lloyd’s classification, Aurora ' s key figures include an impressive volume of 2,113GT (split across four decks) and a beam of 13.2 metres, while a crew of 22 waits on an owner’s every need. 1920s Art Deco-inspired interiors house up to 16 guests in eight stately cabins. Among these is the private owner’s suite which features wraparound views and access to a private lounge foredeck. She also features an intimate top deck observation lounge with a daybed and a lounge with three bar stools forward, while a gym and Jacuzzi are found aft.

Builder : Lürssen Length : 90m Designers : Winch Design

Phoenix 2  takes a page (or two) from Art Deco styling with her cherry velvet flooring and gilded details. The owner commissioned Winch Design to create her intricate cityscape-inspired design concept, including a 5.7-metre phoenix figurehead modelled after the Chrysler building's mounted eagles. Roaring highlights include a sommelier room, multiple swimming pools, a plush cinema room and a custom Steinway for some musical accompaniment at mealtimes. Accommodation is for up to 14 guests in seven cabins, including a full-beam owner's cabin accessible via a glass spiral staircase.

Builder : AKYACHT Length : 85m Designers : Michael Leach Design , Marco Yachts , H2 Yacht Design

After beginning life as a 77-metre explorer 14 years ago, the completion of Victorious was long-awaited. Key features include an indoor pool in the beach club, cocktail lounge, observation saloon and a wine and cigar “clubroom” which features its own fireplace. Accommodation is for 24 guests in 12 cabins, with further quarters for a crew of 22. The owner's suite is located up on the bridge deck and benefits from direct access to the Jacuzzi and sunpads aft. On the foredeck is a "touch-and-go" helipad that can also be used as an entertainment space.

Starfire, a 2006 84′ Lazzara yacht, has five staterooms, six heads, captain and crew quarters and is listed with HMY Yachts sales for $1.757 million. Sleek lines make this yacht look fast, even at the dock, and it has solid performance. Twin 1,800 hp Caterpillar C30 diesels reportedly push this 84-footer to 27 knots.

The yacht’s flybridge is set up for entertaining and is partially shaded by the hardtop. Guests can relax on a curved portside settee with table aft, while forward is a curved settee with table to starboard. There is also a wet bar with three swivel stools. Starfire ’s peninsula-shaped wet bar is equipped with a Corian and wood bar top with ice maker underneath, Wolf electric grill and under-counter refrigerator. Guests can enjoy a beverage and burger while soaking up the sun in the hot tub to starboard. The aft deck can function as a sundeck or use it to secure a dinghy. The yacht’s Nautical Structures davit has a 1,199-pound lift capacity.

A molded fiberglass stairwell from the flybridge leads to the cockpit where guests can relax on a cushioned settee with varnished table and four wicker chairs on a teak sole, all shaded by the flybridge. Transom gates lead to the hydraulic swim platform. An Opacmare passerelle makes for easy boarding at the quay. Looking for a little privacy? Head to the foredeck and its sun pads for quiet time with a good book.   

Enter the salon via a double sliding curved glass door. The salon has a pecan veneer that is illuminated from natural light through windows flanking the space. Relax on the portside leather sofa and chairs with a bottle of wine from the wine cabinet while watching a game on the entertainment center to starboard. There is formal dining for six guests. Alfresco dining options are available in the cockpit and on the flybridge.

Two additional guest staterooms are located forward, one with upper and lower berths and one with a full-sized berth. Crew quarters are accessed from the swim platform and can be used for additional guests or kids seeking a little more privacy.

DETROIT -- For sale: a true piece of Detroit's past glory. Asking price: $50 million, or best offer.

The Belgian owners of the steam-powered Delphine, once the pride of the Great Lakes and the personal vessel of automaker Horace Dodge, is for sale at its base in Tunisia in northern Africa.

Listed at 257 feet long with a 35-foot beam and a 14.5-foot draft, the Delphine is believed to be the largest private yacht ever built on the Great Lakes. Horace Dodge, the younger of the two Dodge brothers, had it built in 1920 in River Rouge by the Great Lakes Engineering Co. He named it after his daughter.

Launched in 1921, the boat was the ultimate in luxury, with private staterooms for 20 guests and a crew of 55. The Dodge family used the boat for cocktail parties, watching boat races, and other entertainments.

But the boat has a troubled history. Horace Dodge died before the Delphine was launched. On a trip to New York in the 1920s, the vessel caught fire and sank. Raised and restored, the vessel ran aground in the Great Lakes in 1940. She was sold to the U.S. Navy during World War II and spent the war years tied up at dockside near Washington, D.C., before returning to Dodge family control after the war.

The Delphine left Detroit in the 1960s and went through various owners until 1997, when the current Belgian owners bought it and restored it to modern luxury, operating it out of Monaco as a charter vessel. A minimum one-month charter cost $1.5 million.

The owners now dock the Delphine in Tunisia and are asking 38 million euros, or just shy of $50 million at today's exchange rate.

William Worden, the retired director of the city of Detroit's historic designation office, may have been the last Detroiter to ever ride on the Delphine. As a teenager in the 1960s, he was aboard as the vessel made its way down to Ecorse to be outfitted for its voyage through the St. Lawrence locks to the East Coast, where it became a training vessel for merchant seaman, one of its many roles. Worden's father was a shipyard worker who got him aboard.

"I never got inside except in the engine room. The passenger cabins were locked up tight," Worden said recently. But the engine rooms were done in a unique configuration, he said, a tribute to Horace Dodge's mechanical fascination with trying new ways of doing things.

Worden noted that there are many interesting stories about the Delphine. He recalls hearing that Adm. Ernest King, the U.S. chief of naval operations in World War II, lived on the docked vessel throughout the war so he could qualify for sea pay. King did indeed use the vessel, temporarily renamed the Dauntless, as his flagship, although the story about sea pay could not be otherwise confirmed.

The Delphine spent much of its life at dockside, including at Rose Terrance, the palatial Dodge residence in Grosse Pointe Farms, long since demolished. That may be a reflection of how much it costs to operate a private vessel as big as a small warship.

Super yacht for sale for less than a Sydney house

A sleek super yacht is on the market for a sum less than a typical house in some Sydney suburbs.

Named YOLO, the cutting-edge craft is on the books of Ray White, for an asking price of $3.99 million.

Instead of putting down roots in Rose Bay (median house price $4.65 million), Vaucluse ($8,062,500) or Manly ($4.4 million), you could spend your days bobbing in luxury in the four-cabin yacht.

The price hope is on par with Bondi, which has a Domain median house price of $3,966,941.

The listing explains the price has been reduced, making YOLO the “best value superyacht in Australian waters”.

The yacht is a 2007-built, 34-metre Leopard craft, which also has crew quarters.

“YOLO is an entertainers dream, with a huge aft cockpit dining and lounging shaded by dual umbrellas, raised saloon bar and main deck media room for a full on-water cinematic experience,” the listing explains.

A shaded deck is deep enough for a dining table, under cover, with plush seating for soaking up the changing vista.
