RC Sailboat-Monsoon A beautifully crafted R/C sailboat, fully built and almost ready to run. All required items are installed, including mainsail winch, steering servo and all rigging, sail and hardware. All you need to do is add your own 2CH or more radio system and battery! Boat hull is based entirely on an ocean going racing yacht and moulded in fibreglass with a perfect gelcoat and enamel painted finish. Don't be mistaken in thinking these boats are slow and boring. In a stiff breeze they can be extremely quick and perform turns rapidly, proving to be very exciting. Spec. Length : 900mm Height : 1800mm Area of Sails : 0.38m2 Ballast weight: 1.0kg Draft from the waterline to bottom of keel: 360mm Rig Height from the deck to the top of the mast: 1330mm
Required. 2CH or more transmitter and receiver 4.8~6.0V receiver battery Note: Please ensure you fill the keel ballast to 1.0kg or heavier. Lead shot, bearings or bolts/nuts will be sufficient. Keeping them in place with epoxy.

For this Price you get a nice Boat. Only the Ropes of the Rigg are not real good. I have change the poor Rops. I have used Dyneema Rops. I have filled the Blubb with 1,5 Kilogramm of 2,5mm Lead Shots. Now the Boat Sails great! Its not like an M Boat but for beginners its fast.

I received the yacht today and was very disapointed in that the radio tray was loose and in fact had broken away on one end. This nescessitated that I have to refix the tray stand and re-run the rigging lines which can be an issue. Further there are no instructions on how to fill the keel or with what in the instructions. (Buying lead shot in Taiwan is very difficult) Very disapointing as Hobbyking products are normally OK Oh, I am an experienced model boatie as I have owned 5 other yachts, from a 600 through to an A class, so I can do the repairs but not amused. If you are new to model yachting and get it like this you may have a few problems

Fr den preis bekommt man wo anders kein boot, vorallen dingen nicht mit der ausstattung es ist wirklich alles mit dabei, nachdem man das segel und einen akku eingesetzt hat kann man sofort aufs wasser und das beste an allem es funkzioniert wunderbar. Segeleigenschaften sind fr den preis sehr zufriedenstellend.

Leave the stickers of the sails, and it will outperform the balck/red Monsoon. You can also easily remove the stickers from the hull and completely repaint this boat.

RE: monsoon 900. You don't need high priced screw type turnbuckles on an inexpensive boat like the Monsoon. Bowsies work just fine. If you don't like the line supplied withyour boat, just replacesome or all of itwith spectra type line or something similar, and perhaps some better bowsies if desired.
