How to Plan a Nautical Bachelorette Party
Hi, lovelies! Are you hoping for a nautical bachelorette party with your BFFs? Well, pass this post on to your MOH because we’re about to show you the ultimate nautical bach bash ideas! Today we’re showing you everything you need to plan a nautical bachelorette party from start to finish that everyone’s going to love. We’re rounding up the best nautical invitations , favors, decorations, accessories, and apparel to make the last sail before the veil a memorable one. Here you’ll find everything needed to host the perfect nautical bachelorette bash / boat party / “last sail before the veil”, etc. along with party extras like an adorable captain’s hat (yes, complete with veil), bridesmaid mug-shot style photo props (so fun), cute tumblers, drink coolers, fun tank tops for the bride’s crew, and more. So… grab your captain’s hat and let’s go!
For a nautical bachelorette party, you can go with the following themes / bachelorette party hashtags :
- “last sail before the veil”
- “let’s get nauti”
- “tie the knot”
- “let’s get ship-faced”
We’re throwing in a few from each category in this list just to give you some inspiration.
It is best to choose a location that is, obviously, nautical-themed… for instance, a restaurant at a marina, a cruise (a multi-day destination if budget allows, of course, or even a one-day cruise in your area. In Detroit, there is a “Princess Cruise” that takes off in the evening with dinner, a full bar, DJ — the works. Check out what you have in your area. There may be a one-day boat or sailing tour you can take with the entire crew in tow.
Of course, you can plan a fun nautical bachelorette party without setting sail, too — just make it a seaside location. Anywhere you can dip your toes in the water, lay on the sand, get tan lines, consume delish beverages, and enjoy seafood (if that’s your thing) is a great way to throw a ‘last sail’ party for the bride. No need to over-complicate things — just pick a fun place she’d enjoy and go with it!

How does the boat insurance work?
Boat insurance typically covers loss caused by things such as fire, sinking, storms, and collisions. The extent of the coverage varies depending on the policy.
Do I need my own insurance to rent a boat?
You do not need boat insurance when renting with Boatsetter. Coverage is provided under the Peer-to-Peer Boat Rental Policy, which is underwritten by GEICO Marine Insurance Company. The policy was written from the ground up as a stand-alone recreational boat rental insurance policy covering the period of time that the boat is being rented and is available for all non-commercially insured boats.
Does Boatsetter screen renters?
Yes. We use a system called Cognito to ensure that payment information matches the renter's identity. We also require renters taking out a captained boat to be at least 18 years old and on a bareboat to be at least 25 years old.
Is listing my boat on Boatsetter free?
Yes! Listing a boat is completely free. We only take a commission when your boat is rented. We only make money when you do!
What if I'm not comfortable having a renter drive my boat?
If you are not comfortable having a renter drive your boat, we have an expansive network of licensed and experienced captains. Once your boat is listed, you can filter through our network of captains and favorite captains in your area that you would like to operate your boat.

10 Tips for Planning a Bachelor or Bachelorette Boat Party
Planning a bachelor or bachelorette boat party can feel overwhelming, but planning ahead can make it a fun and memorable experience for all the right reasons.
How to Plan a Bachelor or Bachelorette Boat Party
Tip 1: sail safe.
Safety should always be the top priority when boating, especially when planning a bachelor or bachelorette boat party.
Make sure all guests know basic boating safety guidelines. Things like wearing life jackets and staying away from the edges of the boat may seem obvious to those accustomed to boat life, but some guests may need to learn the rules of the water.
Charter a boat with a captain so your friends can focus on having fun. You also don’t have to worry about anyone drinking and driving when you have a dedicated captain.
If you don’t have the option to rent a captain with your boat, designate a sober driver you trust can handle the responsibilities of captaining a boat .
Staying sober is critical for boating safety; the boat captain should always stay sober, appoint a sober skipper, and ensure that passengers drink responsibly.
Tip 2: Choose the Right Date for Your Party
Scheduling a boat bachelor or bachelorette party a few days before the wedding is risky -for several reasons. First, guests may feel overwhelmed with many wedding events so closely scheduled. Secondly, if anyone develops a sunburn, it is almost impossible to correct a bad sunburn in wedding photos. And those are forever.
Schedule your boat bach party at least two weeks before the wedding date to be safe.
Tip 3: Choose the Right Boat For Your Group
Boats range in size, accommodations, speed, and many other ways. Choosing the right boat for your group size and intent will make all the difference in your boat bach party.
First, get an accurate headcount of guests who are attending. This may open or narrow your options, but it is the first step to finding the right boat for your party.
Pontoon boats are a first choice for many bachelor and bachelorette boat parties. More budget-friendly than a yacht, and with plenty of space to spread out on board, pontoons offer many of the favorite aspects of other boats: speed, sun and shade options, gorgeous views, and the ability to do some swimming, fishing, or towed water sports.
If you plan to tube, waterski, or otherwise get active, learn about water sports safety before hitting the water.
If your celebration is focused on water sports or fishing, opt for a dedicated fishing boat or wake/power boat. Both will typically fit 6-10 people. And both will be equipped with activity-specific gear.
Familiarize yourself with the specifications of the boat you are considering, and don’t be afraid to ask questions.

Tip 4: Know Exactly What You’re Getting
Once you’ve decided on the best boat for your bach party, finalize the details so you know what is - and isn’t included.
- What is the length of the boat ride?
- Are watersports equipment included?
- Are there enough life jackets and PFDs on board for all guests?
- Where is the boat’s first aid kit located?
- Do you offer a safety run down upon embarking?
- Are food and drink catering options available?
- If yes, what exactly is included?
- Is a cooler or ice supplied?
- Are there any prohibited items we cannot bring aboard?
- Does the boat have a grill or food prep area?
- How can I play a music playlist on board? Bluetooth, USB?
- Is there a covered or interior area?
- Is there a bathroom onboard? Does it have a shower?
- What is the company cancellation policy for bad weather?
- Who provides bait, tackle, and gear? (If on a fishing trip)
Most boat captains will be happy to answer as many questions as you have to ensure you are confident and knowledgeable about the boat and its policies.
Tip 5: Prepare a Boat Party Playlist
No party is complete without the perfect playlist. Your boat will likely have a sound system that you can connect to. Confirm with your captain how you can connect your playlist to the ship’s system so you can enjoy the beats all day.
Plan a playlist that’s at least as long as your boat rental time so the music and the vibe stay fresh. Go with nautical-themed songs, or make a playlist of the bride and/or groom’s favorite songs.
A custom playlist is a perfect way to make your guest of honor feel seen and appreciated – plus, it’s better than scanning the radio stations or listening to whatever CD happens to be on board.

Tip 6: Pack Boat Friendly Snacks
Some chartered boat packages may include varying levels of food and drinks from light snacks and sodas to full meals and open bars – while others are a bring-your-own situation.
Check with your specific boat company’s rules and your group to accommodate any allergies or dietary restrictions.
When planning boat snacks choose ones that are easy to eat, simple to pack, and won’t make a mess. If your boat has a grill, go for simple, classic cookout foods. If a grill is not an option, don’t stress! Plenty of snack options work perfectly out on the water:
- Hawaiian roll sandwiches (premake and store in your cooler)
- Cookies or cupcakes (splurge on custom bakery options designed with your theme)
- Trail mixes
- Pretzels or popcorn
- Chips and salsa
- Charcuterie board or simple cheese and crackers
- Fruit platters with dips
- Vegetable platters with dips
- Hummus and crackers
- Frozen watermelon slices or popsicles
- Cases of bottled water (highly recommended)
If your vessel doesn’t include a washing station or bathroom, bring along some hand sanitizer or wipes for everyone to clean off their hands before digging in.
Tip 7: Go Glass-free When Boating
Never pack glassware on a boating excursion. A dropped glass cup can cause havoc for guests, boat equipment, and marine life. Bring plastic cups, silverware, and dishware instead.
This is the perfect opportunity to find on-theme decor, serveware, and more to upgrade the party experience. Opt for canned and plastic bottled beverages. Decant any drinks that typically come in glass containers into plastic alternatives (with tight-fitting lids).
Tip 8: Consider Bachelorette Party On A Boat Theme Ideas
Choosing the theme is one of the most fun aspects of planning a bachelor/ette party! Consult with the bride or groom to incorporate their personality and preferences and get creative! Many boat rentals will allow you to decorate the boat before the guests arrive.
Boat party theme ideas can be wedding or nautical-themed. Here are a few ideas to get you started:
- Sail Before the Veil
- Beach or Tropical
- Nautical Theme
- Something Blue Theme
- Whatever Floats Your Boat: BYO floaty
- Color Scheme Themed: all white, a favorite color, or the wedding colors
While a theme is certainly not required, it’s a fun way to make the party extra special.
Tip 9: Make A Boat Party Packing List
Once you’re out on the water, you’re on your own! And you likely will be out at sea for hours, so there’s no popping into a corner store to grab something forgotten. Plan ahead by providing guests with a boat bag packing list , including:
- Sunscreen (do not be the sunburnt person in all the wedding photos!)
- Bug spray (if needed)
- Beach towels
- Fishing license (if applicable)
- Swimsuit
- Change of clothes, consider a boat shirt or other sun protection options
- A dry bag or container for your phone and valuables
- Any needed medications (like asthma inhalers and EpiPens)
Tip 10: Have Fun and Take Photos
Wedding planning and prep stress can do a number on even the most calm personalities. Once everyone is on the ship and you’ve left the dock, relax and have fun!
Whether you use your phone or a waterproof camera , take plenty of photos! Posing for that perfect Instagram shot or getting the sparkling water aesthetic just right, you’ll never regret taking too many pictures at your boat bach party.
And when you’re on a boat with a crew of your best buds, every moment is a photo op.

Themes: The theme options for a boat party are limitless. Want to feel like you're in a tropical paradise? Done. How about a yacht party fit for a celebrity? You got it. Whatever your heart desires, any theme goes with the stunning water backdrop.
Insta-worthy: Let's not forget the most important part — the photo opportunities! Get your phones ready because the views you'll experience at a boat party are absolutely breathtaking. Think sparkling water, a stunning skyline, and warm sun on your skin. Honestly, every moment is a photo op.
Affordable: Who says you must break the bank to have an epic boat party? With plenty of charter options and a crew of your besties to split costs, a boat party is a surprisingly affordable way to take your BATCH to the next level.
With limitless theme possibilities, stunning photo opportunities, and affordable pricing, a boat is the perfect place to party with your crew and say goodbye to your single days in style.
Types of Boat Parties
There are many boat options for a bachelorette boat day or weekend. Consider the following types of boat parties:
Yacht Parties: Nothing says luxury quite like a yacht party! With spacious decks, plush seating, and top-of-the-line amenities, a yacht party is a perfect way to pamper the bride-to-be and her crew. Yacht parties typically have a private captain and crew, ensuring a seamless and stress-free experience.
Pontoons: For a more laid-back vibe, consider a pontoon boat party. Pontoons are typically less expensive than yachts and offer a more casual atmosphere, making them ideal for a lowkey celebration. Plus, with their flat decks and ample seating, pontoons are perfect for larger groups and dance parties! Celebrating your BATCH in Austin? Check out this Pontoon Party at Devils Cove with a captain and party pad!
River Cruises: If you want to explore a specific area while enjoying your boat party, consider a river cruise. River cruises allow you to enjoy the scenery with onboard entertainment and dining options.
Sailboat Excursions: A sailboat excursion could be the way to go for the adventurous bride-to-be. These boats rely on wind power, giving you a more immersive experience on the water. Plus, the intimate setting makes it easy to bond with your BFFs.
Pedal Boats: If you're looking for a unique and active way to celebrate, consider a pedal boat party. These boats require a bit of physical exertion, but the novelty factor and the ability to cruise at your own pace make it worth it. Pedal boats often come with built-in coolers, making it easy to keep your drinks cold! We love the Harbor Bar Pedal Party in Charleston, with the option to BYOB!
With so many boat options available for your bachelorette weekend, you're sure to find the perfect boat party to suit your style and budget. Whether you opt for a luxurious yacht or a unique pedal boat, your boat party is bound to be a BATCH highlight.

Swimming: There's nothing quite refreshing like a swim in the open water. So, pack your favorite bikini and take a dip with your squad.
Dancing: Many boats have built-in sound systems, making them perfect for a dance party. Blast your favorite tunes and dance the day (or night) away. Many boats even allow you to connect your own music, so you can curate the perfect playlist for your crew — or use one of our Bachelorette Party Spotify Playlists for Any Destination !
Playing Games: Whether it's card games, board games, or classic beach games like frisbee or cornhole, there are plenty of fun games to play on a boat. Just bring games that won't be affected by the wind or waves!
Relaxing and Sunbathing: Sometimes, the best activity is doing nothing. Bring sunscreen and a good book, and lounge in the sun with your besties. This is the perfect opportunity to catch up on some much-needed R&R.
Sightseeing: If you're cruising in a scenic location, take advantage of the opportunity to sightsee. Look for dolphins, whales, or other wildlife, or simply take in the breathtaking views of the coastline.
With these epic activities, your boat party will surely be a memorable experience for you and your crew.
Island hopping: Cruise through crystal-clear waters, stop at picturesque islands, and lounge on pristine sandbars. Each stop offers a unique experience, from secluded beaches perfect for a private picnic to lively islands with bustling beach bars. Whether you want to relax on the shore, dip in the turquoise waters, or snap Instagram-worthy photos, island hopping ensures everyone has a memorable time. For an unforgettable experience in Tampa, Florida, consider a Luxury Deck Boat that offers island hopping, dolphin sightings, and BYOB options with a captain at the helm.
Waterslide: If you want to crank up the fun on your boat bachelorette party, waterslides are an absolute must-have! Best Themes for Your Boat Bachelorette Party
Get set to make your boat bachelorette party one for the books. Choose from these wild bachelorette party ideas and themes to fill your special day on the water with laughter, style, and plenty of Insta-worthy moments!
Let’s Get Nauti
Set sail with a nautical-themed bachelorette party. Think classic navy and white color schemes, anchor and rope decorations, and sailor hats for everyone. Go for nautical-themed attire like striped shirts, white shorts, and boat shoes to add to the maritime vibe. For decorations, consider items like life preservers, mini sailboats, and seashells to create an aesthetically cohesive setting.
Last Sail Before the Veil
Make the bride’s last sail before the veil one with fun and festive games and props. Set up a scavenger hunt on the boat, with clues leading to different parts of the deck. Create a "photo booth" area with props like oversized sunglasses, silly hats, and nautical-themed signs. You can also have a karaoke session with sea shanties and the bride’s favorite songs.
Tropical Paradise
Transform your boat into a tropical paradise with vibrant colors and exotic decorations. Get hibiscus flowers, tiki torches, and leis for everyone. Serve tropical drinks like piña coladas and mai tais in coconut cups, and have a fruit platter with pineapples, mangoes, and papayas. Encourage guests to wear bright, tropical attire and provide Hawaiian shirts and grass skirts for a truly festive feel. Don’t forget the beach balls and inflatable palm trees to complete the look!
Mermaids and Pirates
Opt for a fantasy-themed party where guests can choose to be either enchanting mermaids or adventurous pirates. For mermaids, think shimmering scales, seashell crowns, and lots of glitter. Pirates can don eye patches, bandanas, and striped shirts. Decorate the boat with treasure chests, pirate flags, and netting. You can even organize a treasure hunt with hidden “gold” coins and jewels around the boat.
Glamorous Yacht Party
If a sophisticated and elegant celebration is more your thing, go for a glamorous yacht party theme. Expect black-tie attire, champagne toasts, and elegant decorations. Set up a lounge area with plush seating, soft lighting, and a beautiful photo backdrop. Serve gourmet hors d’oeuvres and high-end cocktails, and consider hiring a DJ or live musician to add to the upscale atmosphere. Make your celebration standout on the Hawaiian waters with a Private Boat Party Rental with DJ, Open Bar, for decorations & More !
What to Wear
Look good and feel comfortable! Here are some ideas for what to wear to make the most of your boat party:
Matching Swimsuits: Coordinate with your squad and wear matching swimsuits for a fun and memorable photo opportunity.
Bridal Swimsuit: Let the bride shine by wearing a swimsuit with "bride," "wifey," or "Mrs." printed on it. This is a fun way to celebrate her upcoming nuptials.
Cover-ups: A stylish cover-up is a must-have for any boat party. It's perfect for taking a break from the sun or transitioning from the water to the boat.
Dresses: If you plan to go out after the boat party, consider wearing a cute sundress that's easy to slip on and off over your bikini.
Accessories and Shoes: While you want to look cute, it's important to wear comfortable accessories and shoes that won't get ruined in the water. Wear water-resistant sandals or flip-flops, and bring a hat or sunglasses to protect your face from the sun.
Remember, you never know what will happen on the water, so it's always a good idea to bring extra clothes, just in case. Overall, the goal is to be comfortable, stylish, and ready to have a great time with your friends!
What to Pack for a Boat Party
Packing the right items can make all the difference when preparing for a bachelorette boat party. Here's a checklist of what to bring:
Sunglasses: Protect your eyes from the sun's glare with stylish sunglasses.
Sunscreen: Apply and reapply sunscreen throughout the day to protect your skin from harmful UV rays.
Towels: Bring plenty of towels to dry off after swimming or lounging on the boat.
Matching Bathing Suits: Coordinate with your squad by wearing matching swimsuits for a fun and memorable photo opportunity.
Dry Bag: Keep your valuables and electronics safe and dry in a waterproof bag.
Decorations/Party Supplies: Bring balloons, party cups, and floats to add extra fun to the boat party.
"Bride" Clothing & Accessories: Let the bride-to-be stand out by wearing clothing or accessories that identify her as the center of attention.
Bachelorette Party Games: Prep some games like "Never Have I Ever" or a scavenger hunt to keep the party going on the boat.
Food & Drinks: Bring plenty of snacks and drinks to keep everyone fueled and hydrated throughout the day. Consider finger foods, a charcuterie board, BBQ, cocktails, wine, and champagne.
Packaging these essential items will prepare you for anything this wild and crazy experience throws at you.
Food and Drink Options
Bringing food and drinks for the bachelorette boat party is essential to keep the party going. Many boat charters offer catering options and drink packages, making planning your menu easy. Additionally, some boat charters provide drink packages with an open bar or specific drink options like beer and wine.
If you're on a budget, a great option is to bring your own food and drinks (AKA BYOB). This allows you to control your menu and keep costs low. When choosing your boozy bevs, consider bringing canned drinks, as they're easier to store and dispose of on the boat. And remember to bring plenty of water and non-alcoholic drinks to stay hydrated!
Whatever you choose, plan ahead and prepare for the number of guests attending the party. Alcohol can be dehydrating, and having enough food and drinks to keep everyone satisfied and safe throughout the day is essential.

While a fun-filled bash is the aim of the game, there are also important safety measures to consider. By following these tips, you can plan your bachelorette party without the headache of unexpected mishaps, and ensure everyone will remember it for all the right reasons.
Life Jackets: Ensure there are enough life jackets for everyone, and they are easily accessible.
Weather Check: Always check the weather forecast before heading out. Conditions can change quickly on the water, so always be prepared. Remember to create an effective bachelorette party backup plan in case of unexpected weather or other mishaps.
First Aid Kit: Have a well-stocked first aid kit on board for minor injuries and illnesses. It should include bandages, antiseptic wipes, pain relievers, and any personal medications your guests might need.
Stay Hydrated and Sun Protected: Bring plenty of water to keep everyone hydrated, and have sunscreen on hand.
Know the Boat’s Safety Features: Familiarize yourself with the boat’s safety features, including fire extinguishers, emergency exits, and communication devices. Ensure everyone knows where these are and how to use them.
Limit Alcohol Consumption: Although it’s a boat bachelorette party, drink responsibly. Excessive alcohol can impair judgment and increase the risk of accidents. Ensure there’s a good mix of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages available.
Listen to the Captain: If you have a professional captain, listen to their advice and instructions. They are experienced and trained to ensure your safety on the water.

What is a bachelorette party.
"Bachelorette Party" or "Bachelorette Night Out" is a common term in the United States, the United Kingdom, Ireland and Canada. The terms "Chicken Party" or "Chicken Night" are used in Australia and New Zealand. In South Africa, "Girls' Party" or "Kitchen Tea" is used. Bachelorette party has been a term used for and by women since the Middle Ages and has its origins in a wide variety of fields.
The first mention of a “Bachelorette Party” dates back to the early 17th century and in the 19th century, there were references to girl-only parties. However, they had nothing to do with weddings, to which they are commonly associated with in the modern day. Instead, the bachelorette party was simply a gathering of women, often over tea, food, and music. Before it was used as a term for a pre-wedding party, bachelorette party was used in the United States as a general term for a women's gathering, usually held at the hostess's house.
In 1897, the Deseret News, one of the US’s oldest newspapers noted that the bachelorette party was "the time-honored idea that tea, chatter, clever gossip and hats are a necessary addition to these particular gatherings."
In 1940, Eleanor Roosevelt, one of America’s first ladies and wife to President Franklin D. Roosevelt was noted to have organized a Christmas bachelorette party for women in the cabinet and the press.

Bachelorette parties are female only. As a rule, they are organised before a wedding with bridesmaids but they can also be acquaintances. These girls are responsible for organizing the event but the bride can also participate in the planning if she desires. The head bridesmaid has to find a venue for the bachelorette party and organize everything.
Although the hostess usually pays for the entertainment, in most English-speaking countries, the costs of the event are usually borne by the participants. Whether the bride-to-be pays for her share, or the share is divided among other participants, it is determined by the organizers and the bride-to-be in the early stages of the planning process. More often than not, all participants in the celebration pay for this event.
In America, a pre-wedding party is more romantically called a bachelorette party or a bridal shower. As time has progressed, girls have moved away from the standard celebration of tea drinking in the bride's house or outdoors in the garden. In these modern times, girls love to go out and celebrate their bachelorette parties by partying in clubs, visiting beauty salons, or even renting a yacht.
The girls here love pink and prefer their attire and decorations to be this colour for use in their bachelorette parties. For example, bridesmaids would perhaps wear pink hats or T-shirts and flood the bride with pink gifts.

Games on a bachelorette party when rental a yacht in Miami
In addition to parties on a yacht, scuba diving and water skiing, girls often like to play various games on a bachelorette party. Below is a list of games that we recommend playing:
● "Never I never ..." - The bachelors take turns naming one interesting fact from their lives. Those who have done the same, have a drink.
● There are many posters with instructions for games. They can be found on the Internet. Let's say you help the bride to complete all the tasks and there will be several wishes: to dance a dance, post a strange photo on Instagram and much more.
● Guess Who is a game in which the names of famous people are written on numerous sheets. Then the bachelorette parties attach a sheet to the forehead, and the player, using various questions, must guess who is on the sheet by asking questions.
● Balloons with wishes. You can use colored balloons, inside of which there will be wishes. You will need to burst the ball in any way and fulfill the desire that will be inside. It can be anything, your imagination should play here.
Bachelorette Party Invitations on a boat in Miami
Bachelorette party invitations are just as important as wedding invitations. The bachelorette party organiser needs to determine the exact number of guests, organise the venue and determine the address, and indicate what the party goers should take with them. If this is a yacht, then it can be a swimsuit, sunscreen and glasses, a towel and, of course, a good mood.
Would you like to spend a party on a yacht in Miami?
Life hacks for a bachelorette party when rental a boat.
It is so accepted that the bridesmaids pay for the bachelorette party, so this sometimes causes difficulties. If you will have 10 people on the yacht, book for 4 hours, then each person will get $ 250. You must also take into account food, drinks, swimsuits, an additional fee for Jet Ski, a restaurant (if you go there), a photographer, think about contests and buy equipment for them. The amount is quite good. In order to remove the responsibility for the fee from you, we know one lifehack.
The groom can send his sister or a relative on a yacht cruise to his bride and her girlfriends so that she keeps order and does not let the future wife go all out. In this case, the man will have to pay for the bachelorette party. Just imagine, the bride and her friends go on a cruise on the Luxury Prestige yacht "Aristocrat" in Miami, watching incredible views, world-famous islands and a wonderful Sun bar where you can ride Jet Ski and all this is paid by the groom. You can only dream about it.
The second life hack is that you need to book a yacht a year before the wedding. You need to decide on the date, with the number of guests, think over your route or contact us for providing your route, buy the same swimwear, handbags, glasses or something similar and then feel free to book. It is worth considering the fact that it is necessary to book a luxury yacht at least 2 weeks in advance, because such yachts, as it is correct, have the whole week booked. The top days are considered weekends and in order for your dates to be free, book a month or two in advance.
Where to celebrate a Bachelorette Party near me?
Based on the above information, we can conclude that the best place for a bachelorette party is a yacht. All you need to do is book it for a certain number of guests and arrive in a great mood. The onboard staff will do the rest for you. Yacht charter in Miami is the most popular destination because Miami Beach is located nearby, where the girls go on a cruise the most. Many people come to Miami from other cities to celebrate the holiday, mostly from:
● New York;
● Los Angeles;
● San Francisco;
● San Diego;
● Las Vegas;

How many guests can I invite to the yacht?
According to the law of Florida, regardless of the size of the yacht, it is allowed to accommodate 13 people. There are yachts that allow you to accommodate more, but they do not correspond to the luxury class, you will have to stand or sit, they belong to the excursion. Yachts that can accommodate more than 13 people in Florida are subject to such strict rules that it is structurally impossible to remake it, it will no longer be a luxury. Therefore, it does not matter what size the yacht is, even if it is 125 fit, you can accommodate a maximum of 13 people and the same number of guests can be accommodated on 25 fit. Therefore, when choosing a yacht, it is necessary to take into account not its size, but the internal condition: the old or new interior. New yachts are considered from 2013-2014 and depend on the conditions in which the yacht was operated for the entire period from the moment of its release, so our 60-fit yacht has 6 zones where guests can stay.
Frontline yachts. It has pillows and 2 isolated zones that can accommodate 5 people:
An area where 2 people can sit;
3 people lie under the canopy.
The Flybridge zone includes 2 zones: one with pillows where you can sit and sunbathe, the second includes a space for dancing( dance floor), a table and a sofa that can accommodate 8 people.
Outside on the ground floor, there can accommodate 5 people at a table and on a sofa.
Saloon room – an air-conditioned area that comfortably accommodates 9-10 people, plus there is a kitchen.
Thus, it does not make sense to rent a yacht of more than 60 fit, because a yacht of 60 fit allows you to accommodate more than 20 people according to the factory characteristics, but according to the law, only 13 are allowed. If you have more than 13 people on a bachelor or hen party, and you want to spend time with a large number of guests, in this case, 2 yachts are rented, we can provide you with this service. When we pass the sunbar in the Marine Stadium area, where you will swim, we will park 2 yachts together, and you will be able to see your friends on one of the two yachts and spend time together with everyone, more than 13 people. You can also arrange a dance event, who will dance whom, this is a popular idea when holding a bachelor or hen party. If you have up to 12 people on one of our yachts, we can invite the Drone Guy to shoot your party for free, as a gift.
The scheme of organizing a bachelorette party on a boat
A bachelorette party is not encountered every day, so a young bride has various questions, and one of the main ones is where to start preparing? No need to worry ahead of time, we will tell you step by step what you should pay attention to when preparing a bachelorette party.
Decide on the yacht. Now there are a lot of companies that rent yachts on the Internet. But we will share with you a little secret of how to choose a new, luxury and safe yacht. Firstly, the new luxury yachts differ from the old ones in that they have square shapes of windows, pillows, etc. That is, there is a square design. It is always worth paying attention to the interior of the yacht, when searching, pay attention to this. I would not like your holiday to be spoiled by an old yacht that may break down on the day of your booking and not go to criuz at all. And also, you would probably like to be in a clean, cozy and new yacht, rather than an old and broken one. Be sure (!!) to pay attention to the license. Without it, it is impossible to carry out a legal charter, your holiday may be spoiled by the fact that the yacht will simply not be allowed to cruise due to the lack of a license .
Decide on the list of guests. According to the Florida law, only up to 13 people can stay on a luxury yacht. It is necessary to think carefully about who you would like to see on your holiday. It is also accepted that the bachelorette party is paid for by friends, so it is worth discussing with them how everything will go and which of them is ready to pay for the bachelorette party.
Decide on the date. A bachelorette party is usually celebrated a year before the wedding. And a luxury yacht is booked 2-3 months in advance. It is in demand by many, especially in the summer on weekends. Therefore, in order for your holiday to go perfectly and the date was free, start searching for 3 months and book immediately.
Order swimsuits and a bag. A very cool idea at a bachelorette party is the same clothes for the bridesmaids. It can be black swimsuits for bridesmaids and white for the bride. Identical beach bags, glasses and much more. You can buy products in any online stores.
Decide on food and drinks. You can take any food and drinks with you on our yacht, except red wine. You can order catering or book a table in one of the most famous restaurants in Miami. Here you need to calculate the budget and consult with us, we have several catering service phones that will provide you with food and drinks on time.
Order a photographer. Of course, you want to capture such a day on camera. Imagine a luxury yacht, incredible landscapes of Miami, girlfriends in identical swimsuits. They often invite a photographer who arranges a photo session for the girls on a yacht. Or as an alternative, you can use the Drone Guy, which we provide for free as a gift for our guests.
Calculate the budget . It is necessary to calculate everything in order to understand how much money goes to the bachelorette party. It is worth taking into account swimsuits, alcohol, food, yacht reservation, photographer, details for competitions, if you will have them. You can also order a Jet Ski when the stop is at Sun bar, this is +150 dollars.
Book a yacht. Your date will be booked only after you make a deposit. Therefore, after you calculate the budget, you need to make a deposit for the yacht and calmly prepare for the bachelorette party.
What do you do at a bachelorette party?
If you are renting a yacht for a bachelorette party, then we offer you a ride along our route to Miami, passing by famous islands, all the time you will be filmed by Grone Gay, capturing all the fun and beautiful moments. You can also arrange games when you stop at the San Bar, the most popular one, who will swim faster, or using various pre-prepared props. You can order food and drinks in advance at a restaurant on the river, sail there on a yacht, arrange various contests with alcohol and much more. It all depends on your imagination, we will adapt to you. We will help and arrange something somewhere.
Who is supposed to throw a bachelorette party?

Plan a Bachelorette Party on a Yacht in Miami: Tips and Key Steps
Introduction:
Bachelorette parties are special moments to celebrate the upcoming wedding of a friend or family member. And what better way to do it than in the sunny and vibrant city of Miami, aboard a luxurious yacht? At Luxury Miami Yachts, we understand the importance of making this event unforgettable, so we’ve prepared a comprehensive guide to help you organize the perfect bachelorette party on our elegant vessels. From selecting the yacht to thematic decoration and planning exciting activities, we present everything you need to know to ensure your bachelorette party is an absolute success.
Yacht Selection and Logistics:
Choosing the right yacht is a crucial step in planning a bachelorette party in Miami. Several factors need to be considered to ensure the yacht meets the group’s needs and preferences. Firstly, it’s essential to determine the size of the guest group, as this will influence the size of the yacht you need to rent. Ensure there’s enough space for all guests to be comfortable and enjoy the experience.
In addition to size, you should also consider the type of yacht you desire. In Miami, you can find a wide variety of yachts, from luxury yachts to more budget-friendly options. Determine your budget and look for yachts that fit within it. Remember that the yacht rental price can vary depending on the season and rental duration, so plan ahead.
The location of the port from which the yacht will depart is another important logistical aspect. Ensure the port is conveniently located for all guests and easily accessible from where they will be staying or where other bachelorette events will be held.
Safety aboard the yacht is a fundamental concern. In Luxury Miami Yachts, we prioritize the well-being of our guests above all else. Our commitment to safety is unwavering, and we go to great lengths to ensure a secure and worry-free experience on the water.
Activities and Entertainment:
Once you have selected the right yacht, it’s time to plan the activities and entertainment that will keep guests entertained during the bachelorette party. A popular option is to hire a DJ or musician who can set the right atmosphere with live music or a customized playlist. Make sure the music is diverse and offers options for all tastes.
Games and activities are an essential part of a bachelorette party. You can organize fun and exciting games that involve all guests. Some ideas include trivia games about the bride and groom, dance competitions, or even a karaoke contest. You can also consider water activities such as snorkeling, paddleboarding, or jet skiing if the yacht permits.
To add an extra element of fun, consider organizing a costume contest or a themed swimsuit competition. This can add an element of surprise and creativity to the bachelorette party.
Catering and Beverages:
Food and beverages are key elements of any event, and a bachelorette party on a yacht in Miami is no exception. To provide a memorable culinary experience, consider hiring a catering service that can provide a variety of delicious dishes. Take into account the dietary preferences of the guests, including vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free options if necessary.
Regarding beverages, you can opt to include a beverage package offering a selection of cocktails, wines, and non-alcoholic drinks. Tropical cocktails are a popular choice for a bachelorette party in Miami, but you can also customize the beverage offering according to the bride’s and guests’ preferences.
The presentation of food and drinks is important to create an elegant experience. Consider incorporating a dessert table or a cocktail station to add a special touch to the bachelorette party.
Decoration and Theme:
Decoration and theme can add a personalized and exciting touch to the bachelorette party on the yacht. Before the event, choose a theme that reflects the bride’s personality or relates to her love story. Some popular ideas include nautical, tropical, or beach-themed decor.
Once you’ve selected a theme, work on the decoration to match it. You can use colors, decorative elements, and accessories that fit the chosen theme. For example, if you opted for a nautical theme, consider decorating with anchors, steering wheels, and shades of blue and white.
In addition to thematic decoration, you can also personalize items such as T-shirts, hats, or sunglasses for the guests. This not only adds a fun touch but also serves as a souvenir of the event.
Transport and Accommodation:
Finally, don’t forget to plan transportation to the port and accommodation options for out-of-town guests. Ensure transportation from the place of accommodation to the port, either through private transportation services or by renting a bus or minivan for the group.
Regarding accommodation, research nearby hotels and negotiate special rates for the group if possible. You can also consider renting a beachfront house or condo for a more relaxed experience before or after the bachelorette party on the yacht.
In summary, planning a bachelorette party on a yacht in Miami involves careful consideration of yacht selection, logistics, activities and entertainment, catering and beverages, decoration and theme, as well as transportation and accommodation planning. By paying attention to these details, you can ensure that the bachelorette party is an unforgettable experience for the bride and all the guests.
Conclusion:
At Luxury Miami Yachts, we take pride in being your ally in organizing memorable experiences. By following these tips and considering all aspects, you can ensure that the bachelorette party on a yacht in Miami is an event the bride and her guests will cherish for years to come. On Land Itinerary
Planning a bachelorette party is a big responsibility - but by choosing things to do that everyone loves, you'll be able to pull off a trip that everyone will be talking about for ages. Yacht and boat charters are the most popular choice for bachelorettes headed to Miami Beach.
So, your best friend is engaged, and you're the maid of honor! It's your responsibility to put together an epic bachelorette party for her and all your closest girlfriends. You've chosen Miami as the destination, and the flights and hotel rooms are booked for your crew.
Now it's time to put together the perfect itinerary for an unforgettable fling before the ring. Miami boat rentals are a guaranteed way to give the bride an unforgettable bachelorette party.
Before we get started, check out these resources to help you plan your trip:
- Jet Ski Rentals in Miami
- The Best Captained Boat Rentals in Miami
- Chartered Yachts in Miami for Large Groups
You can also check out our complete Miami Boating Guide for insights on where to go and what to expect for your bachelorette boat day. And if you need more ideas on things to do for a bachelorette party in Miami beyond boating, check out this itinerary for 2 Days in Miami by the Beauty Backpacker !
Planning a Bachelorette Boat Party, Step by Step
Step one: confer with the bride.
Before you start shooting off inquiries to boat captains, make sure you've got all your details sorted out. Start by asking the bride-to-be what she wants. You might have exciting visions of the yacht trip you want, but if it doesn't match up with what the girl of the moment is hoping for, there's going to be conflict. Get an idea of what she's hoping for and use that to create your plan.
- What vibe does she have in mind? Bougie and glamorous, loud and boisterous, or relaxing and rejuvenating? The last thing you want is to plan an action-packed itinerary for a bride who wants to sleep on the beach.
- How much is she willing to spend? It’s common for maids of honor to get carried away in the planning and bite off more than the rest of the party can chew.
- Does she have a theme in mind? It’s fun to plan the bachelorette weekend along one theme so everyone can dress up and match. Fun ideas we’ve seen lately are Barbie (no Kens allowed), disco party, cowgirl rodeo, and tropical vibes.
Step Two: Plan for Miami’s Weather
Weather is everything. While you're most likely to enjoy sunshine and warmth in Miami, it rains almost every day during hurricane season in Miami (June-November). While it's impossible to predict the weather, try to plan your vacation sometimes that’s not June-August for the boating excursion. Ask the captain what the rainy day policy is.
My fiancé and I did our bachelor and bachelorette party in Miami. We rented two of JD’s boats and our boat day was the best part of the entire weekend. It was so much fun! The boats were beautiful, JD and the captains were very accommodating, and they took us to a fun location!
Step Three: Compare Prices
Before finalizing a booking for a boat or yacht, ask for a price estimate on the cost per person. Communicate the details to the other attendees so they know what to expect financially and what they will get for their money. This will make it easier to get everyone to cough up the cash, rather than booking it and then demanding to be paid back later.
Step Four: Make a Party Boat Packing List
While you might think you can go off memory, it's so much easier to have a checklist when organizing an activity for a large group. Make a master list and communicate with the bridesmaids about what each person should bring. Here’s a baseline to get started:
- Snacks (check out the best snacks for a boat day here)
- Non-alcoholic drinks
- Alcoholic drinks (if allowed)
- Charged Bluetooth speaker
When sending off your inquiry, making your expectations and desires as clear as possible is the best way to ensure the perfect boat day. Always sort out the basics:
- Pick-up time and date
- Price and fees
- Desired duration of a cruise (all day or just an afternoon/morning?)
- Amount of guests
- Included amenities, food, and drink
- Excursions and stops
You’ll want to get the most bang for your buck and show the bride a great time on her Miami bachelorette party boat. Decide what makes sense with the rest of your itinerary and go from there.
Once you've sorted out the basics, feel free to get more detailed. Miami boat captains are experts at providing unforgettable boat cruises and yacht parties. They will give you insight on where to stop, and let you know about any special extras that can be included on board such as floaties and watersports activities. Some captains do not allow red wine onboard, so that's something to keep in mind and ask about.
It's also nice to include a few brief details about your group so the captain has an idea of who you girls are and what you're hoping to experience on your day out.
What a great way to celebrate our girl on her bachelorette party! The crew was so much fun which added to our already perfect boat day! I highly recommend using this boat for your next outing!
The Best Types of Boats to Rent for a Bachelorette Party
Miami is host to a huge variety of boats, from luxury superyachts to budget powerboats. Here are some different boats you can choose from so you can get an idea of which one will be best for your bachelorette boat bash:
Pontoons: Affordable and Fun
Pontoon rentals in Miami are great for casual cruising and bigger groups. They are typically quite affordable and easy to stop and jump off for swimming breaks and sunbathing on deck. Pontoon rentals in Miami start at $100/hour , so they are also a very affordable option, especially when you divide up the cost amongst your crew.
Self-Drive Boats: Sober Fun
Bareboat or self-drive boats that you can rent on your own are perfect for smaller, intimate groups on a budget. You can rent boats in Miami for as little as $49/hour, make sure someone in your group has boating experience and is okay with being a sober driver. You'll get a chance to see the highlights of Miami from the water without breaking the bank.
Luxury Yachts: All Eyes on You
If your group has money to spend, consider booking a luxury yacht rental for your bachelorette boat party. Cruise in opulence around the Miami skyline and hot spots. Most luxury yacht charters in Miami come with lily pads, tubes, and other float toys, sometimes even jet skis!
You'll feel like queens cruising around on your yacht, stopping at sandbars in style. You can also book a boat for an overnight Miami weekend yacht cruise , sleeping onboard in fully-equipped cabins.
We had an amazing time! Alex was a great captain, he was on time, communicative, a good driver, professional and fun! We came for a bachelorette and we were able to fully celebrate on the went to a small beach we anchored at. So glad we make a playlist and for Alex’s awesome speakers!
Sail Boats: Slow Sunset Views
Would your group rather cruise by wind power? Consider a sailing tour around Miami . A skipper will sail you on a catamaran and or monohull sailboat and provide a chill boating experience from Miami. Sail around the sandbars and islands, cruise into the open ocean, and relax on your sailboat with your best friends. Sunset sailing tours are a great option too.
Group Boat Rides: Honorable Mention
If you're on a tight budget or planning your boat cruise very last-minute, you have the option of booking individual tickets on a group boat tour in Miami. Party boats and cruises with other visitors can be an incredible experience.
They’re great for groups of social girls looking to meet new people during their bachelorette party, and there is usually a great crew and bartenders on board to make sure your cup stays full and that everyone has a great time.
Miami Sandbars for Bachelorette Boat Parties
Miami is a beloved boating destination for all the fun islands and sandbars you can hop around to during your party. What’s a boat party if you can’t hop out and swim? You're likely to encounter other bachelorette groups and other boaters out enjoying the sunshine and stopping for a sandbar party. Some food and drink vendors will even deliver food to your boat.
Some of the top sandbars and islands to stop at in Miami by boat include:
- Haulover Sandbar : Off the coast of Haulover Beach and Bal Harbour Beach
- Nixon Sandbar: Off the coast of Key Biscayne
- Islamorada Sandbar: Along the Whale Harbor Channel
All are great options for bachelorette parties looking to blast some great music and dance on board or meet other people who pull in on their boats. The best islands in Miami have crystal clear water perfect for a quick swim or stopping for a dance party on your boat. It's a great way to get into the social atmosphere of Miami during the daytime, and you'll want to continue parting well into the night.
Once you're ready to get back to land, there's so much to do in Miami to keep the party atmosphere alive.

This Florida Destination Is the Newest Bachelorette Party Hot Spot — and Was Just Named the Best Food City in the U.S.
It's not where you think.

When Tampa, Florida, resident Jessica Venditto was figuring out where to plan her bachelorette party in late 2023, she didn’t have to look far.
“We wanted a city, but not just for barhopping,” said Venditto, who ended up hosting her bash just across the bridge in downtown St. Pete, about a 30-minute drive from where she lives.
“There’s more walkability in St. Pete compared to Tampa, and better resorts,” she added, noting that she and her friends opted to stay at the recently updated Vinoy Resort & Golf Club, Autograph Collection for the weekend, thanks to its excellent pool and spacious suites prime for getting ready before hitting the town.

Great year-round weather, tons of restaurants and bars within walking distance of a range of hotels, and powder-fine beaches nearby have seen St. Pete storm onto the bachelorette party scene in recent years.
“If you’re in downtown St. Pete on the weekend, you look around and can’t miss running into bachelorette parties all over the place. It’s becoming more and more noticeable,” said Brian Lowack, president of Visit St. Pete/Clearwater. “The entire destination has seen a variety of new establishments — hotels of all sizes, rooftop bars and pools, elevated dining, beach bars — all places that lend themselves to fun weekend gatherings with friends.”
Tampa resident Lauren Barnhart launched her business, Tampa Bay Bachelorette , in 2022 after considering holding her own bachelorette party in cities like Nashville and Scottsdale (she ultimately decided on the latter) and noticing similar businesses offering planning services.
And while Barnhart’s company offers itinerary planning and decorating services across the Tampa Bay area, including in downtown Tampa and Clearwater Beach , St. Pete inquiries have been particularly booming lately. “The destination offers the best of both worlds for a lot of groups, especially people who want the nightlife of a city, but also the beach,” she said.
If you’re planning a bachelorette party in St. Pete, here are a few things to know.
Understand the lay of the land.

“I get a lot of groups that don’t understand the difference between downtown St. Pete and St. Pete Beach,” said Barnhart. Downtown St. Petersburg, where most of the bars, restaurants, and shops are clustered, fronts Tampa Bay (which fringes the eastern side of town). St. Pete Beach, on the other hand, is about an eight-mile (or 20-minute) drive west and refers to the sandy part of the equation, with gorgeous beaches fronting the Gulf of Mexico .
“A lot of times, groups end up staying at a house or hotel over at the beach and Uber to downtown for the nightlife,” said Barnhart. However, if your group prefers stepping out to brunch or a bar over the sand, simply reverse that order and plan to bed down in downtown.

When it comes to where to stay, visitors to the area are spoiled for choice. Luxury resorts in St. Pete Beach include The Don CeSar (a.k.a. the Pink Palace), known for its Barbie vibes and lively pool bar, and The Hotel Zamora , with its stylish rooftop. In downtown St. Pete, meanwhile, check out The Vinoy Resort & Golf Club, Autograph Collection , retro Hollander Hotel , or the brand-new Moxy St. Petersburg Downtown , complete with a rooftop pool (and three-room blocks that can be cordoned off for your group). In St. Pete Beach, Barnhart points to boutique and retro-inspired properties like The Saint Hotel and The Pearl Cabana Club among the places her company has welcomed bachelorette parties.
But Bellwether Beach Resort has the best rooftop of all the properties along the beach, accessed by a private elevator and offering 360-degree views of the Gulf of Mexico and Intracoastal Waterway.
You can also look for a stay slightly further south on the beach in the charming community of Pass-a-Grille , where the Berkeley Beach Club has a rooftop restaurant, a fun wine bar, suites that can sleep up to six guests, and easy access to the sand.

St. Pete was recently named the best food city in the U.S. , so knowing where to dine and clink glasses is half the challenge.
Downtown St. Pete — along Central Avenue, the Edge District, and the area around Beach Boulevard — is filled with bars and restaurants. All you have to do is show up to get the party started, especially Thursday through Saturday nights.
Consider kicking off the night early with sushi and karaoke at Good Fortune , where the Sakura Spritz cocktail is as pretty as it sounds. Lala is another restaurant and karaoke spot where you can gather to build your own cheese and charcuterie boards before singing all the bride to be’s favorite songs.

If you’re looking for something swankier, explore the bar scene at Allelo , a sophisticated Mediterranean restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating ideal for people-watching.
Sibling restaurant Juno & The Peacock , a few doors down, just opened in August 2024 and is beautiful — the patio, festooned with red and white umbrellas and French bistro-style chairs, will make you want to sit with an Aperol spritz and platter of oysters Rockefeller for hours.
Just next door, Pluma Lounge has Latin American-inspired cocktails inspired by destinations like Lima and Tulum, as well as a sexy setting. Another cool hideaway on Beach Drive is Helyx Restaurant , located inside Try Wine .
Is your entourage the active type? BYOB to the St. Petersburg Shuffleboard Club on Friday nights — it’s the world’s largest and oldest shuffleboard club and a fun scene if you’re wanting to ease into the weekend with something low-key.
Watering holes to hit up later in the night include Concrete Jungle , with its awesome basement bar, and The One Night Stand , where you can get a good laugh while tackling the mechanical bull. Also bookmark Good Night John Boy , a 70s-themed bar with a dance floor, disco ball, and Farah Fawcett poster lording over it all, and My Rich Uncle , which has an 80s theme and all the fun you’d expect from the era. For a speakeasy scene, head to The Saint and Dirty Laundry .
Get some culture on the agenda.
Visit The Dali Museum (the on-site cafe serves great espresso drinks), or plan for high tea and a fascinating history tour at The Vinoy. Channel your inner artist with a creative glassblowing class at the Morean Arts Center or Zen Glass Studio & Gallery . And don’t miss a stroll or bike ride to the gorgeous reimagined St. Pete Pier , with its public art installations, urban bay beach scattered with Adirondack chairs for lounging, and boardwalk.
Hit the beach in style.

Florida’s beaches are known for their natural beauty, but you can make the experience more stylish with a service like The Cabana Club , which offers private themed setups. The spreads come with beach chairs, cabanas, Yeti coolers, sunscreen, mini lockers, Bluetooth speakers, phone chargers, and more, as well as a beach concierge service for the setup and breakdown (you can even plan to stay for sunset).
It’s a blast to get off the beach and out onto the water here, too. Bach Boats rents pontoons with waterslides, deck boats, and other vessels to take out for the day.
Whatever you do, toast early and often to the best things out there: best friends and making memories for life.
