There is a separate shower-room on this floor, ideal after a day on the beach or on the water. Climb the stairs where you will find two gorgeous bedrooms, dressed in lovely linens to ensure a great night’s sleep. Outside you will find a pretty, sheltered courtyard which faces south-west making it perfect for al fresco dining from breakfast until dinner. The Haven Restaurant has a fabulous view over the water, perfect for morning coffee, afternoon tea and everything in between. The New Forest is just a short drive away with miles of woodland, open moors and a plethora of ponies who call this place home. Lymington has a excellent Saturday markets on the High Street, independent shops, local festivals, sports events and plenty of activities around the area to amuse most people.
Foodies will love it here. Eating out options are numerous. There is still a fishing industry that runs out of the town quay. Lobster and Crab are excellent from the Solent Waters.
Walking is lovely from here. Go east along the rural coast which has a wild and agricultural feel with ponies and cattle graze on the beaches. Or walk west from here, along the coastal paths (perfect footing for all ages) and you’ll find masses of yacht marinas, marshes and bird reserve.

YACHTSMANS GUIDE TO LYMINGTON
Situated on the shores of the Solent at the southern edge of the New Forest, the picturesque Georgian market town of Lymington is a world famous sailing resort. Each year thousands of visiting seafaring types are amply catered for by sizeable world-class marinas and sailing clubs. The Old town Quay is popular with tourists and offers private sailing instruction, motor boating, fishing trips and ferry rides to Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight. There is also a 19th century open-air heated swimming pool just a short walk from the quayside. The High Street is reached via a series of unique cobbled streets and is overlooked by the 13th century St. Thomas’ Parish Church. Lined with designer boutiques, independent outlets, gift shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants, the High Street also plays host to Saturdays bustling street market. There are also several parks in and around the town and a state of the art leisure centre. For those who desire a bit of outdoor adventure there is, of course a magnificent 145 square miles of the New Forest on the doorstep. An absolutely beautiful town with more than enough to keep the discerning visitor happy, Lymington makes an ideal destination for a seaside holiday and a perfect kicking off point from which to explore the fascinating Hampshire coast.
